Lovely charming hotel situated in the heart of Peebles. Very friendly. Will have renovation work starting in January as the hotel is tired. This did not bother us as it was clean and tidy.

Sat 29th Nov 2014 - 1 night stay at Park Hotel in a Twin Room (D/B&B). The room was clean & tidy, what we needed for 1 night stay. Lovely afternoon spent around all the shops in Peebles High Street, with lunch in The Crown. Used the facilities at The Hydro. 15 minute stroll from the Park Hotel. The Hydro on entering was very nice. The pool was a great size however the SPA (Sauna/Steam Rm & Jacuzzi)on the poolside could do with a refresh, dated and a little tired but clean. Dinner for 2 at the Park Hotel was included and just fabulous. Prawn|Lemon Sorbet|Pasta with CKN & Mushroom sauce|Apple Crumble & Custard|Coffee / Prawn|Lemon Sorbet|Cajun Salmon with Stir-fried Veg|Cheese Board|Tea. Breakfast in the morning usual selection of juice, cereal, yogurt etc and cooked breakfast very tasty. All staff very polite and approachable. I would stay again right on the High Street and a great deal for DB&B.

Excellent hotel. Receptionist on night of arrival very helpful and friendly. Room spotless and spacious. Great location. Lovely breakfast good choice and well cooked. Liked it so much have booked again for January2015.

Hotel was a bit tired although clean but in fairness it is due to shut soon for three weeks for a refurbishment.

Had a wonderful relaxed stay at the park hotel. Staff very helpful could'nt fault anything. Dinner very good and breakfast made to order much better than buffet.

Really enjoyed our stay at Park Hotel. We had a huge room (72) with massive windows looking out to a magnificent view. The hotel is in a great location and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Can recommend wholeheartedly and will definitely be back! Thank you

Particular good points: the bar food (we were on BB only), the link with leisure at the Hydro, the location of the Park. Lounge area a little small for capacity of hotel, especially if dominated by one very loud gentleman (which is not the Park's fault!).

Reception was not well manned, we had to look for a member of staff on arrival and on departure. Bedroom was quite small for a double with tread bear carpet. And a bit of a squeeze in an over bath shower. seemed more of a single room that a double. We were only staying overnight so not too much of a problem. It was clean and the staff friendly when found.
