Wasn't the best hotel. Rooms where very outdated and windows were nailed shut so could not open. Swimming pool was freezing cold. Food was lovely but service at dinner was slow, took 1hr and 10mins from clearing our starter plates to getting our main meal. They had also ran out of alot of food and drink (not sure if it was cause it was after new years)

Lovely break, we upgraded room & it was spacious looking out towards the sea. Meals were great , big portions & served very hot, just how we like it. Staff were very nice as well

Room was cold. I asked for a new room and we got one, made our stay more pleasant. The health suite was so run down we didn’t use it. The gym looked ok but didn’t use it.

We had a lovely time at the Fairfield. The staff were very friendly and the hotel had a great old world charm about it although tastefully decorated. The food was also of an excellent quality and plentiful.

Fantastic stay. Accomodation was lovely. Service fantastic with very helpful, friendly staff. Facilities where excellent great pool, sauna and steam room. The food is excellent and well presented on the plate. Will be back soon 5*+

From the minute you walk into the reception all of the staff could not do enough for you & really make you very welcome. the rooms are a good size with tea & coffee etc and the rest of the hotel is very comfortable and the food was good.

This was the second time I have stayed at the Fairfield, and very happy with the service from all the staff. Cooked breakfast is made to customers wishes and plenty of choice at the breakfast buffett. The hotel is located within an easy walk into town and even better for the low green and beach . Will definitely stay here again and recommend to friends and family.

Upon arriving, we were checked into our hotel room. There was a noticeable smell of stale cigarette smoke from the room, ironic as there was a clear no-smoking sign on display on the table of the room. We had the windows open for about 45 minutes but the smell lingered. I spoke to reception who said that they would send a housekeeper up. She appeared around 5 minutes later but said she thought it was just aftershave when she was cleaning the room but that it had given her a pounding headache. Not sure what sort of aftershave she had smelled but it was definitely cigarette smoke. She said that she would send up a chief housekeeper but they never appeared. I went down to reception one hour later and the receptionist relayed the information that the housekeeper didn't think it was cigarette smoke. I assured him that it was and that he could come and smell the room. To his credit he did then change our room (which was much better) but I feel that the whole experience could have been handled much better. How long would I have been waiting if I hadn't have went back down to chase them up. Having experience at staying at other RAD hotels, they did fall short of their usual high standards.

All aspects of The Fairfield were of an exceptionally high standard. The staff were so helpful and very efficient. The Dining Room seemed to run like clockwork. There was no need to ask for any missing items at the breakfast buffet. When empty they were quickly replaced. The food was very good. We had a lovely stay and will definitely be back.

Staf lovely and took great care of guests. Food great on the first night problem with my husbands meal 2nd night again breakfast great first morning but not so great 2nd morning probably due to a different chief overall good stay would go back !!

Lovely upgraded room. Spacious comfy beds. Evening meal delicious. As was breakfast apart from the tattie scone which was totally overcooked to the point, it was unedible. Only other negative was broken jacuzzi which has been inoperable for several months. Would definitely return

Room was fine however no heating in en-suite when advised reception they were aware of this and said all bathrooms in our block were the same although not told when we checked in. . Lift not working and public areas apart from restaurant and bar looking a bit tired. Room not "made up" until 5pm by which time we had returned and maids had to work round us - not ideal. Service and food in restaurant was very good and friendly.
