Overall a pleasant stay

Room was fine however no heating in en-suite when advised reception they were aware of this and said all bathrooms in our block were the same although not told when we checked in. . Lift not working and public areas apart from restaurant and bar looking a bit tired. Room not "made up" until 5pm by which time we had returned and maids had to work round us - not ideal. Service and food in restaurant was very good and friendly.

We have stayed at the Fairfield many times over the years and have always had an excellent stay from the friendly, competent staff, lovely bedrooms and the very tasty food and service, however after staying last week we were very disappointed with the menu and the quality of the food. It was very bland and tasteless and not of the usual high standard, more like pub grub. We don't know what has gone wrong but we will be checking the menu before booking again in the future. Such a shame as we think they will lose a lot of regulars like us and our friends.

Nice return three day dinner b&b break ….. Nice rooms, with all the bells & whistles , even a nice shaving mirror …. Delicious food , with choices to suit most palates… Delicious breakfasts , with my favourite “eggs royale “ All in just a nice relaxing break …. Back in a heartbeat….

Stayed her on Tuesday night, with the dinner, bed and breakfast deal, great value for money. The hotel was welcoming, warm and comfortable and the staff were great, friendly and helpful. The dinner and breakfast choices were really good and all the food was warm, freshly good and nice served.

Had a fabulous stay. Were upgraded to a suite with jacuzzi bath, walk in shower and Tv in the bathroom. Food choices for the dinner bed and breakfast menu were less than at its sister hotels but food was superb at both dinner and breakfast. Really friendly welcoming reception staff. Room however was really dark as we couldn’t get many of the lights to work but receptionist said she would check that when we reported it on checkout

We stayed in a courtyard room. It was big, clean and quiet. The food was excellent. Staff were friendly. Will be retuning. Enjoyed a stroll along beach front also. Leisure facilities available also but we never used them so cannot comment.

Lovely hotel, staff very polite, helpful and professional. Room we had no 42 was huge, and had everything you wanted. Food was excellent, especially the evening meals. Will be back.

Nice chill out three day break,which we were well looking forward to … Been here before for a short stay …. Really nice staff, cosy bar, though the couches could do with a few cushions, nice restaurant , with very nice staff … Food delicious, room very comfortable, what’s not to like … We shall return …

Excellent room ( really a suite ) extra large comfortable bed, 46ins TV in bed area and 60ins in the lounge. Large bathroom with shower which was all newly renovated. Food to a very high standard, as was the staff. Very good value for money. This was my 3rd visit and will be back.

Public areas in hotel are lovely. Food was excellent at dinner and breakfast and service was great very friendly. Room lovely and big but we only had a skylight window and very small bathroom and floors so creaky and noisy.

We booked an executive double room when we checked in they upgraded us free of charge to the absolutely stunning Carnegie room. Staff were very friendly and helpful will definitely return

Check in was smooth. Room spacious clean and bed comfortable. We ate in the dining room at night and meal was lovely. All staff great especially Kyle. Breakfast great in morning plenty to choose from. Loved our stay and will return.
