Value for money break. Room was large and comfortable. Ella our waitress was a joy. Food adequate and good variety. Bute is a beautiful Island and would recommend. Only drawback is the snooker room no longer exists.

What a pleasure to see that the hotel has been upgraded to a much better standard. The lounge area is lovely and comfortable. Staff were very good and a delight to speak to. The room we had was also upgraded to a very good standard. Meal times are good and overall good value for money. I would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel to family and friends now that the refurbishment has started and look forward to returning again.

Traditional old hotel with lots of character with wonderful sea views. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We arrived early and although our room wasn't ready they were happy to store our bags so we could explore the island baggage free. Hotel has a bar with a warm atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating. Good quality breakfast served at a reasonable time and morning staff we were accommodating.

The exterior and ground floor level of the building were very impressive and the bedroom clean and comfortable if slightly small for the price.

Bedrooms have been done up to a high standard. Shower was amazing. Comfiest bed I have ever slept in.

Beautiful hotel and views from our sea view room. Superb evening dinners and super breakfasts. Bar prices are ok. All staff do a fabulous job and deserve credit. Our room, while on the small side, it was perfectly adequate. Well located to walk into the harbour, about 10 minutes. On arrival, we got a taxi to the hotel as there is a hill to walk up as we had our bags/cases. The taxi was £3.40p. No problem on our departure, when we walked to the ferry. Would we visit again, most certainly - YES.

The hotel is amazing, the staff could not do enough for you, the food was excellent we upgraded to a superior room 208 , the view was fantastic, as the hotel is set on the hillside, the room was large .recently refurbished, traditional décor and furniture, complimentary bottle water, toiletries and ironing board, and coffee maker. The nightly entertainment, was second to none, James was fantastic, as was the traditional Scottish dancers on Wednesday evening, our tour driver Dennis was brilliant , very knowledgeable and friendly. What more can we say , a amazing holiday from start to finish
