Hotel was fully booked, long wait to check in, long wait for lifts, not everything explained when we checked in. Our room was right next to the additional lifts. Very disruptive stay. Noise at all hours. Lift noise all night with doors being slammed - a very unsatisfactory stay which is disappointing as usually enjoy our stay. Breakfast not great either. Ran out of plates and cups and no free tables in the restraunt we were put through to a function room and this would have been start of busy time. Staff rude during check out too.

Bit disappointing. Went to the pool on Friday evening to be told it was closing early and had to endure an te regular who wasn’t happy about not being emailed. Booked dinner in the restaurant. We had previewed the menu online but in the restaurant there was only a fraction of it available that evening. Realised after a little while that not only was it quite cold but also that every time the main doors open we would get a draft. There was some sort of delay between courses which we were given a 20% reduction on our bill. Breakfast was good but we were seated at a table where the floor underneath had breakfast cereal spilled. I think we expected better. Glad it wasn’t a special occasion just a little extra. Glad to see that our deal included parking as that would have been at least another £10.

Fantastic stay at the Crowne Plaza on bed and breakfast and btl of wine gift offer. Perfect location for attending a concert at the hydro. Reception were welcoming and we arrived a little early and room was ready so got checked in straight away. Large car park charged £12 for 24hours I feel good value for city. Large room, everything I needed from fridge, tea and coffee facilities, iron. Though room is a little dated. Bar staff were friendly and though bar was busy service was good. Room service is charged at £5 tray charge but was worth it to have Breakfast in our room which was delicious. I would definitely stay at the crowne plaza again and recommend if attending the hydro or secc.

10/10 would recommend to anyone, lovely hotel really friendly staff, only thing is can’t bring ur fire stick to watch some netflix as the telly had a blocker on ? it apart from that everything was perfect, looking forward to going back for another lively stay

The hotel is in a great location and we always enjoy staying on a regular basis but the hotel is badly needing a refurbishment of the main bar restaurant area and the bedrooms. The staff uniforms look grungy and old; the white shirts are grey. The hotel could do so much better.

We got a really good deal, 20% of our drinjs/food bill as well as a free drink on arrival. My only gripe was ee tried to order a coffee and hot chocolate at approx 10.20pm but apparently they don't.

Great stay at the Crowne Plaza. Arrived early at around 11am to leave our bags to be told that a room was ready for us. We dropped bags off and then went out in the city for lunch and drinks. Room we had was on "Club VIP" floor 15. Great view from room overlooking the river and Finnieston Crane.Breakfast next morning was great with lots of choices. Would defo stay here again. Only downfall was the lifts that were being renovated. We were in the new lift but it didn't seem to no the concept of not stopping at every floor when their was no one else standing outside the lifts. I'm sure they will have that fixed when the are finished

Hotel stay was great, extremely comfortable bed and the breakfast fabulous!!! My only comments would be it’d be better if there were 2 comfy chairs in the room not one and an office chair, and that even though our reservation clearly had noted that as part of our stay, we had a bottle of wine included, it wasn’t in the room and so we had to ask for it which is quite annoying. I would comment that my son had the same issue with an earlier stay and thought it would be brought up. However they left without receiving the wine at all. Not ideal when the gift vouchers given to us by my mum included the wine and so was already paid for. Not great housekeeping!!

Stayed overnight with DBB & Bottle of wine inc with deal. Beautiful clean and what an amazing view. Short walk to the OVO Hydro to see the Stereophonics. Food and drinks were exceptional and staff very pleasant and helpful. Muhammad at reception was very efficient and had us laughing as we checked in. Lenka made sure our stay was relaxed and all our needs were met as a previous stay had been a bit of a let down. Would definitely recommend staying here and thank the staff for a wonderful relaxed stay

This was a lovely hotel and we had a great stay. We ate from the concert menu which was served quickly and was delicious. There was no problem using the 20% off voucher which came with our room keys. All the staff were lovely. The hotel was very busy while we were there and we were given the opton of pre ordering drinks from the bar for our return from a show at the OVO arena at night. We also opted for room delivery of breakfast. This arrived at the time requested with all our requests. The choice of cooked food items for breakfast is less than what you have at the restaurant but we were happy with what was available. The room was comfortable although the air conditioning/heating is noisy. We didn't use this as there was a heater provided in the room which allowed us to have the perfect temperature. I'm not sure how this would be during the summer months. The bed was very comfortable with lovely bed linen. The bathroom had a bath and a good shower with nice toiletries. We took a room on a high floor and had great views from there over the river. The lifts were being replaced while we were there however we didn't wait too long to get the lift when required. I will definitely return. The break was excellent value for money and a great location for the OVO arena which is right beside the hotel

The hotel was a great price and we were happy for the double room and was lovely and private. The only downside is that the rooms were quite outdated especially the bathroom which wasn’t really up to much and needs work done.

Had a fantastic stay at The Crowne Plaza. Room, food and facilities were excellent. Staff were lovely and friendly. As it was my birthday I received a complimentary drink which was such a lovely touch and very appreciated. I would definitely recommend.

"Disappointing stay at Crown Plaza Hotel Glasgow The rooms are in dire need of an update, with dated decor and filthy carpets. To make matters worse, the lifts were having work done and the wait seemed forever , fridge in our room was filthy , it also was not stocked . We had a bottle of wine in our package which we had to call down numerous times to reception for . The VIP room staff were completely unprofessional and obnoxious. Refused to open drink fridges until all food was set up . Leaving a queue like a school dinner hall . However, the selection of food and non-alcoholic drinks was a highlight, and for that, I'm grateful. Unfortunately, the dinner experience was a letdown. The food was greasy and unenjoyable, and the service was slow - 20 minutes to order and another 35 minutes to receive our food. The restaurant was practically empty, which made the experience even more disappointing. Cutlery needed polished . Water wasn’t offered at table . Glasses needed shined . My friend, a vegetarian, was limited to two options on the menu, neither of which were to her taste. She ended up ordering just a starter despite paying for a three-course meal. As it was neither of us ate the starter , I also did not eat the main course after tasting . We didn’t bother with dessert , I’m sure that would have been disappointing also . Breakfast was a cheap buffet experience with items constantly running out. Again, the restaurant was quiet. Management need to address the restaurant issues . Bar staff were pleasant and knew how to make every tail we ordered . Bringing drinks to the table , very polite . Prices were resonable for a city centre establishment. This hotel was once one of the best in Glasgow, conveniently located near town and all amenities. However, it's becoming a letdown for the group. I am a member , hence why I’m remaining annon, I don’t want any backlash on future visits in this group , A refurbishment is long overdue. On the plus side, the reception staff were polite. Until they address these issues, I wouldn't recommend staying here."

Arrived early and managed to check in. Room was fabulous and very high standards of cleanliness. Staff attentive and we were well looked after. Great selection of food. Fabulous deal with My Hotel Break. Location of Hotel is brilliant . Highly recommended and would definitely go back.

Gorgeous hotel staff absolutely brilliant friendly and helpful, unfortunately one of the worst nights we have ever had air vent in our room hummed the whole night husband ended up sitting in a chair doing crosswords at 4.30 in the morning we were exhausted and couldn't wait to get home and get to bed I had just got the all clear from cancer but still have some side effects one of them being extreme fatigue and was so looking forward to this day and night such a disappointment for both of us. The room was nice and amenities were all there I would go again but definitely make sure the room was silent. Food not great evening meal very basic would have expected a higher quality.

We had a nightmare as when we arrived they didn’t have any rooms and said my hotel break should never have advertised any as they hadn’t had any rooms available for days. We had to book alternative accommodation. My hotel break said we should have called ahead. Very disappointing
