This was a lovely hotel and we had a great stay. We ate from the concert menu which was served quickly and was delicious. There was no problem using the 20% off voucher which came with our room keys. All the staff were lovely. The hotel was very busy while we were there and we were given the opton of pre ordering drinks from the bar for our return from a show at the OVO arena at night. We also opted for room delivery of breakfast. This arrived at the time requested with all our requests. The choice of cooked food items for breakfast is less than what you have at the restaurant but we were happy with what was available. The room was comfortable although the air conditioning/heating is noisy. We didn't use this as there was a heater provided in the room which allowed us to have the perfect temperature. I'm not sure how this would be during the summer months. The bed was very comfortable with lovely bed linen. The bathroom had a bath and a good shower with nice toiletries. We took a room on a high floor and had great views from there over the river. The lifts were being replaced while we were there however we didn't wait too long to get the lift when required. I will definitely return. The break was excellent value for money and a great location for the OVO arena which is right beside the hotel

The hotel was a great price and we were happy for the double room and was lovely and private. The only downside is that the rooms were quite outdated especially the bathroom which wasn’t really up to much and needs work done.

Had a fantastic stay at The Crowne Plaza. Room, food and facilities were excellent. Staff were lovely and friendly. As it was my birthday I received a complimentary drink which was such a lovely touch and very appreciated. I would definitely recommend.

"Disappointing stay at Crown Plaza Hotel Glasgow The rooms are in dire need of an update, with dated decor and filthy carpets. To make matters worse, the lifts were having work done and the wait seemed forever , fridge in our room was filthy , it also was not stocked . We had a bottle of wine in our package which we had to call down numerous times to reception for . The VIP room staff were completely unprofessional and obnoxious. Refused to open drink fridges until all food was set up . Leaving a queue like a school dinner hall . However, the selection of food and non-alcoholic drinks was a highlight, and for that, I'm grateful. Unfortunately, the dinner experience was a letdown. The food was greasy and unenjoyable, and the service was slow - 20 minutes to order and another 35 minutes to receive our food. The restaurant was practically empty, which made the experience even more disappointing. Cutlery needed polished . Water wasn’t offered at table . Glasses needed shined . My friend, a vegetarian, was limited to two options on the menu, neither of which were to her taste. She ended up ordering just a starter despite paying for a three-course meal. As it was neither of us ate the starter , I also did not eat the main course after tasting . We didn’t bother with dessert , I’m sure that would have been disappointing also . Breakfast was a cheap buffet experience with items constantly running out. Again, the restaurant was quiet. Management need to address the restaurant issues . Bar staff were pleasant and knew how to make every tail we ordered . Bringing drinks to the table , very polite . Prices were resonable for a city centre establishment. This hotel was once one of the best in Glasgow, conveniently located near town and all amenities. However, it's becoming a letdown for the group. I am a member , hence why I’m remaining annon, I don’t want any backlash on future visits in this group , A refurbishment is long overdue. On the plus side, the reception staff were polite. Until they address these issues, I wouldn't recommend staying here."

Arrived early and managed to check in. Room was fabulous and very high standards of cleanliness. Staff attentive and we were well looked after. Great selection of food. Fabulous deal with My Hotel Break. Location of Hotel is brilliant . Highly recommended and would definitely go back.

Gorgeous hotel staff absolutely brilliant friendly and helpful, unfortunately one of the worst nights we have ever had air vent in our room hummed the whole night husband ended up sitting in a chair doing crosswords at 4.30 in the morning we were exhausted and couldn't wait to get home and get to bed I had just got the all clear from cancer but still have some side effects one of them being extreme fatigue and was so looking forward to this day and night such a disappointment for both of us. The room was nice and amenities were all there I would go again but definitely make sure the room was silent. Food not great evening meal very basic would have expected a higher quality.

We had a nightmare as when we arrived they didn’t have any rooms and said my hotel break should never have advertised any as they hadn’t had any rooms available for days. We had to book alternative accommodation. My hotel break said we should have called ahead. Very disappointing

I have never used My Hotel Break this was my first and definitely recommend. Using My Hotel Break gave me more for my money with money of food and beverages, two free alcohol drinks free parking and late check out well done and I will definitely use again xx Leann Happy Customet

Did not have the best experience this time due to the heat, there did not seem to be any air con. From checking in at reception to entering the room was so hot, we did have a fan, so did not spend any time in room this time, luckily at dinner we had a table near a fan, otherwise would not have eaten in the hotel, food was very good.

Lovely hotel with helpful staff at reception, bar and dining area. Convenient for Ovo Hydro and Armadillo for concerts and shows. About a 35 minute walk to city centre.

Great hotel. Check in was quick, cosy clean rooms, great choice of food and beverage- the Sunday roast deal was fantastic. Free parking was a bonus. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Hotel foyer and lounge are comfortable. Bedrooms are needing some tlc as is the front outside the hotel. Staff on the desk are friendly and helpful.

We arrived earlier than the check in time but room was ready which was good. Our break gave free parking, bottle of Prosecco in room and 20% off food and drinks. We had a lovely lunch sitting outside in the sunshine. Got back to hotel around 9pm and still no Prosecco. My husband went down to reception and he was told they haven't been putting it in the room due to ice melting and they would bring it up to the room straight away. Watched tv till 11pm but still no Prosecco. Room was clean and comfortable with a huge comfortable bed. Stayed a few times before and was very disappointed with breakfast this time. Not sure if it was because hotel wasn't busy therefore food was sitting under the lights for some time. Bacon couldn't be cut. Pastries were delicious though. Mohamed on reception was amazing. Extremely friendly and polite.
