Crown Hotel, Harrogate

We have stayed in Harrogate many times but this was the first time at this hotel, not sure that I would stay again, I have never seen a bathroom so small, you almost had to climb over the toilet to get in the bath/shower. I must say though that all the staff were very pleasant & helpful.

We absolutely loved it at this hotel we had a gorgeous room and the bar is really lovely and the breakfast was great the hotel is situated right were all the amenities are. we have been here before and will definitely be back . ( one more thing the cream teas are lush ?)

This was a lovely break in a beautiful hotel. The bedrooms and en-suite were very clean, the breakfasts were very good. We had a meal at night in the hotel which was excellent and value for money. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. It was our second stay there and we will certainly go again as it is really convenient to the centre, a short walk to the bus and train stations and there is nothing negative at all.

My husband and I spent 2 nights at The Crown . We were very impressed and more than happy with the service we received , staff , bed , room and food . Only gripe we had was the charge and availability of car parking or lack of it . No available space at hotel so we were directed to The White Heart opposite and charged £15 per night daylight robbery comes to mind . £12 at the Crown would have been bad enough . Apart from that , First class stay .

Beautiful hotel. Rooms could do with updating a little. Grubby and cold bathroom. food & service in restaurant was excellent. Would definitely return. It was my second visit.

Hotel is in great location in centre of Harrogate.Parking is limited,we parked on the street pay and display right outside. Room was large and had the comfiest bed and modern shower. We had breakfast in the grandest surroundings ever,in the beautiful old ballroom which was just stunning.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel that included dinner, bed & breakfast and late checkout. The hotel is in a great central location, with easy access to all the high street shops. The bedroom was a decent size and cleaned to a high standard. The evening meal and breakfast was really nice with plenty of choice. All the staff were friendly and welcoming and an asset to the hotel. I would highly recommend for anyone to stay at this hotel and wound definitely return.

Smooth check in, room clean and bed was comfortable, floorboards were creaky but it is an old hotel ! Food was excellent. Very central to centre , will definitely return.

Well what can I say this hotel is outstanding. The rooms are beautiful and very big, the bed was lovely and comfortable, there was proper Yorkshire tea bags on the drinks tray and the bathroom was huge. The first room we were given had lovely views over the old pump house and up the hill, unfortunately we visited on a weekend when the weather had taken a turn for the worse and was very cold. The room was really big so once the curtains were closed the temperature really dropped even with an additional heater so we called at reception who were brilliant and moved us straight away. This first room would probably have been ok on any other weekend so please don't take this as a negative. Our second room was located at the back of the hotel again very clean, crisp linen, and cosy. This one came with a sofa in a seperate lounge area. The views weren't as good but you can't have everything! Great location, right in the middle of shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. We had Yorkshire Tapas at a local bar that was fab! Everything on your doorstep. Breakfast was good, buffet style and a good selection. Breakfast room was very clean and well run. Overall great stay, staff were lovely especially the two ladies on reception. Hotel is clean, well kept and perfect location. Will definitely returnmaybe in the summer so we can visit Harrogate in the warmth rather than in the cold.

Lovely old style hotel in the centre of Harrogate, very easy to get to & arranged parking(£12) no bother. Only minor complaint as usual at this time of the year hotel party going on until midnight which for early sleepers a bit noisy. We got a great deal & had a lovely time there.

A very grand and beautiful building, full of history and character. Friendly and professional staff. Immaculately clean. Huge bedroom with crisp white linen and comfy bed. Within walking distance for all Harrogate's wonderful bars and restaurants.
