This hotel has been a grand hotel in its day but is looking tired and in need of some tlc. The service was good the food was enjoyable. We would visit the hotel again if we found another value for money deal.

Excellent value break. Lovely Victorian hotel with convenient location for Harrogate centre. Friendly staff on reception, but service in bar and restaurant a little disorganized, but it was very busy. Over all had a relexing time.

We stayed in a twin room, one that hadn't been through the refurbishment program as yet. The furnishings were adequate but tired looking. The beds were clean and comfortable. There was a strong foisty smell in the bathroom which on investigation was due to a very dirty plug and plug hole. I had to rinse it all out as the smell filled into the main room. The paintwork in the bathroom was in need of a good clean as something had been spilt up the door and was still there. The room itself was very generous in size as was the bathroom. We dined in the hotel and the service and food was very good. Staff were very attentive and food was served quickly and efficiently. We made use of the Orchid rooms for treatments. The staff were lovely as we're the treatments but I do feel they were a bit on the pricey side for what they were. Breakfast was great there was a wide range of cooked and continental breakfast options available. The reception staff upon check in and check out were friendly and efficient. Overall we had a good stay but it was let down by the poor cleanliness of some aspects of the room.

Stayed for one night which included 3 course dinner & breakfast, all staff in the hotel where very welcoming & polite, we have to give a special mention to the evening dinner service staff we where served by 2 very lovely young ladies, really made our evening for us (sorry didn't get there names). We would recommend this hotel & defiantly would stay again.

Basic room , mould around bath ,complained and got upgraded free . Not much choice in restaurant so had to have bar meal because nothing we liked. Classed as a spa hotel, definitely not , hot tub not working and separate saunas in changing rooms. What's that all about .

We had a very pleasant stay at the Majestic.We booked 1 night dinner bed and breakfast, the room was spotless the food lovely and the staff friendly.

Enjoyed our stay, the room was spotless,food lovely staff very helpful and pleasant, only complaint was we were charged £8 a day for parking in the hotel car park!! We were not advised of these charges when we booked into the hotel nor were there any signs in the car park.This spoiled an otherwise perfect stay.

Stayed for our wedding anniversary, ideal location! A beautiful old building with beautiful features. Room very good but a little dark Very clean . Breakfast superb in another lovely room filled with history. Swimming pool disappointing small and in need of an upgrade. Would definitely book again !

We have just returned from our weekend stay at the Majestic and have thoroughly enjoyed it. All of the staff that we have encountered have been friendly and helpful especially at reception and in the restaurant. This has made our stay more enjoyable. We ate in the restaurant on both night's and the food was lovely and very well presented. We also sampled the breakfast which was plentiful and included cereals, pastries, yoghurt, fruit and self serve full English breakfast which was hot and delicious. We also enjoyed a lovely cream tea with various sandwiches, cakes and scones. Our room was on the top floor with views of the city, it was very spacious with a very large comfortable bed. Although the hotel is rather tired in places, it is a very old building and has a charm about it. The location is also handy with just a short walk into town. We have had a lovely weekend and will definitely be returning and may try the spa on our next visit. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay special.
