Very nice hotel. Friendly staff. Room very clean. The evening meal we had was delicious but sadly the breakfast was not. Bacon both mornings was very hard as we're the eggs. Other than that a good break

First impressions were very good. Plenty of car parking space. Hotel receptionist was very attentive and helped us through the booking process. The room was one of the cleanest hotel rooms I've been in for quite a long time. The bed was two large singles zipped together which was ideal for us. All the usual suspects such as tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer, soap/shampoo in bathroom. Bar and waiting staff were very on point and you don't have to wait much more than a few seconds for their attention. I enjoyed my meal, whilst husband wasn't so fortunate but after speaking with waiting staff he got something more to his taste. I think the only thing I could criticise was that there wasn't a handle in the bathroom to help get in and out of the bath/shower. I'm not disabled, just old, and had to ask husband for help. Also the toilet rolls were on a two roll holder with the lower roll nearer the floor. Men sprinkle when they tinkle so this isn't hygienic. I moved the lower roll to the counter-top and all was ok. Will definitely be back.

My wife and I had a lovely time at the Park Hotel, Montrose. Service was excellent, food, including breakfasts, were delicious. Rooms very clean with good facilities

This is the third time I have stayed at the Park Hotel and unfortunately our experience wasn't as good as previous visits. Staff on reception were abrupt and not as courteous as they had been before. It was a shame because we were really looking forward to our break. I did receive an apology from staff and we were given 2 bottles of complimentary wine but the stress caused by staff really impacted negatively on our stay.

Dissappointed my friends were asked to pay for their room before they got access. This was a gift from my husband and I for them. My friend explained this was a gift and that we would be arriving shortly. But they insisted on payment before giving them the key to the room. I felt they put my friends into an awkward position. Fortunately they had enough money to pay. Don't understand what the problem was as they had my card details. We had room 210 which is right above the smoking area at the front door of the hotel , this should be moved as smoke was continually coming up to the open window. Other than that this is a nice clean hotel with nice staff .

We had a very enjoyable 2 night stay here -the room was lovely and the staff were friendly and helpful Loved the art deco feel in the bar and restaurant - had a fantastic tail and an excellent meal - the cheeseboard was a triumph - put many 'fine dining' establishments to shame. Would highly recommend.
