Strange hotel as all the rooms are in buildings around the rear of the building. No staff on duty until after 3pm. The rooms are adequate and clean, the meals are on the expensive side but are still only bar meals.

We had a great stay at the Inn. Staff were very tentative. The room was clean, although felt it was a bit small. Suggest do away with coffee machine and give biscuits instead ? We had evening meal which was fantastic. Although tv being switched off in the lounge and table decor being removed while guests still there long before closing time felt like being rushed away. Was expecting the hoover to come out.. Breakfast was extremely good and set us up for the day.

We had a great stay at the hotel, we booked it using a my hotel break voucher we received for Christmas, we wanted a hotel close to St Andrews and this fit the bill perfectly. The check in process was great, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the room itself was big and had everything we needed including a coffee machine, which as a big coffee fan was appreciated. I couldn't get the bathroom heater on, but as it wasn't too cold we decided to leave it, the heating in the rest of the room was very good. We had a great sleep so no concerns around the bed being comfy. The food was lovely, my husband and I could have had pretty much anything from the menu as there was so much choice, the options we did go for were amazing, they were well presented and tasted fantastic. I actually had 3 courses which is very unusual for me, but it was just so good. We also had drinks at the bar and my long island iced tea tasted perfect, just the right amount of cola in it. There was plenty of choice at breakfast and something to suit everyone, the food was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast. The only small issue was we were early for our breakfast as we decided to get out and about earlier than planned, we had to a little while for someone to be available to take our order, but I as they were expecting us a little later it wasn't a big issue and the food and service were great. I would recommend the hotel, the overall service was excellent and friendly and the food was very very good.

Rooms ok .Needing decoration. Bathroom in need of upgrade mould round bath and shower screen and chips out of bath. Service on arrival was very good and evening meal was lovely . Staff at breakfast had dirty apron on very off putting when serving food .service from him not so good on and breakfast plate had a lot of oil when served so much so couldn’t eat it and had to ask for extra toast . Wouldn’t return .

A most enjoyable stay at Inn at Lathones: clean, cosy room with all necessary facilities - especially appreciated during a cold winter stay. We stayed on a Dinner Bed & Breakfast rate and loved our dinner on both nights, plus a hearty, generous breakfast each morning. There is plenty of quality choice on both dinner and breakfast menus and it is obvious that chef, Kenny, really cares about what appears on guests' plates: he is much appreciated by us! Also appreciated is Lorna and her team who were warm, friendly and professional and made our stay a truly hospitable one. Indeed, Lorna was so helpful on the phone before we even arrived. Sincere thanks to All - we shall definitely return!

Booked this a belated Anniversary break, was a bit more expensive than what I would usually pay but I had money given from a gift so I went ahead and booked, only to find out I had dinner on both nights so that made it even better The staff were brilliant especially Jack( I think that was his name) Nothing was too much for him, reception bar dining he was always there with a smile and answered any questions we had The room was large cosy and clean, bed massive and comfy and not the usual small bathroom but room to move The food in the dining room was very tasty and a big menu to choose from, breakfast had more choices than I’ve seen before I will definitely be back and recommend to anyone who’s interested xxx

The Inn at Lathones was a gem. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The television and internet service is excellent The food was great and very reasonably priced. The beer and wine selection is extensive. And last but not least, all the staff were helpful, friendly and efficient.

The room we had was very cold but I think there had been a leak in the room we were supposed to be in so they switched the room we were assigned to and the heating hadn’t been in long enough. We had previously been to the hotel and had been upgraded to a luxury room the first time therefore this time the room and bathroom were a bit of a let down. The main difference was the bathroom. The one we had this time was a lottery with the shower whether it would run hot or cold and quite a small bath whereas previously we had a jacuzzi bath. We thought maybe we would have been upgraded as we were the only people in the hotel on the first night. But this wasn’t to be. The staff were lovely and very attentive and the food was really tasty.

While we picked a visit that ended up being at the same time as storm Babbet arrived it didn’t stop the staff at the hotel delivering a wonderful stay. Jack the GM looked after his guests and his staff making sure they got home while taking on extra duties to look after his guests. The whole team were friendly and made you feel welcome. Would certainly go back perhaps looking more closely at the long range weather forecast.

central heating turned off or broken in our room were advised by staff we could get oil filled heater at reception if required why were the oil filled heaters not put in the rooms before our arrival when the heating was turned off or broken why did staff initially advise us the heating is on a time clock and will come on later they must have known the heating was turned off or broken when we booked in at 3-00pm the hotel rooms are cold in this old stone building and requires heating summer and winter it was warmer outside the hotel room we do not expect to book a hotel room with no heating working also do not expect to have to obtain a heater from a reception area service good - food good - staff good heating in the dinning room was on thankfully to keep us comfortable during our meal heating problem let the hotel down and feel we were not informed truthfully about the situation regarding the heating the hotel should not be taking bookings if the heating is not working in our opinion especially at the their prices they are asking the hotel let itself down on this occasion unfortunately
