This was our second stay at the Daffodil. Once again, we had a wonderful time. It was worth upgrading to a Junior Suite. The room was spacious and cosy. The balcony view was superb. Food was delicious and there is a good selection of wines. This is one of our favourite Spas, especially after a long walk.We felt rejuvenated! The staff are very friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. Everything about the Daffodil blooms! We look forward to our next visit. Tracy and David - Tyne and Wear

Excellent hotel, fantastic stay. The overall customer service was faultless; all staff were welcoming, helpful and addressed all requests with pleasure. Hotel is lovely and food of a very high standard. Will definatley be back, thoroughly recommend.

no spa treatments available at all Mon to Fri at any time and yet advertised as a spa hotel lighting in bedroom poor and no mirror at dressing table apart from that excellent food friendly helpful staff going out of their way

Lovely hotel. Beautifully decorated and very clean. Very friendly staff. Would recommend. Only down side was the opening hours of the spa. Didn't open until 10.00am at the weekend.

Hotel was very well decorated and appointed. Dinner menu was fine, but we enjoy having a different menu each night. It's part of the enjoyment of a stay in a hotel- wondering whats to be on the menu tonight?

Stayed here for two nights dinner, bed and breakfast weekend of October 25th 2013. Welcome was warm and friendly, our room did not have a view but this was expected as we had got a great deal. This however did not spoil things as our room was fabulous with a huge bathroom complete with double power shower and the biggest bath I've ever seen. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The meals were great value with a good choice and the drinks were very reasonably priced compared to other hotels we have stopped in. Atmosphere in the restaurant and bar was warm and staff went out of their way to see to your every need. We never felt rushed with our meals and struck up conversation with many members of staff. Breakfast like dinner was superb. We loved this hotel both inside and out, modern, contemporary, clean and welcoming, beautiful surroundings any time of the year. Hopeing to return and make good use of the spa facilities next time, would definitely recommend .

Excellent - we had a very enjoyable family weekend celebration and couldn't fault the food, service and general ambience. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the setting of the hotel is very scenic.. Another visit will be made ASAP!

Breakfast was self service only disappointed that it was not hot enough only lukewarm.poor lighting in bedroom.over all had a wonderful stay .definitely book again fab hotel .staff very professional and friendly.

myself and three friends thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Daffodil and only criticism (very slight) a full length mirror in bedroom would have been nice. The dining room and lounge area could have been a wee bit warmer - however, other than that, hotel and staff fabulous!!

Enjoyed a 2 night DBB break at the Daffodil - our second such stay at this hotel through Classic Britain - wonderful hotel, location, staff, food and warrants it's 4* rating. Took advantage of the spa booking a treatment well in advance as it gets very busy. Again, a great experience.

My husband and I had a thoroughly brilliant stay at the Daffodil Hotel on the 4/10/13 for 2 nights. I enjoyed a lovely long bath with Molton Brown products for bubbles each day. (Don't have a bath at home). Huge comfy bed. Room impressively clean. Didn't have a lake view but didn't book one and enjoyed the walks around it outside. Spa good too but missed a bigger pool to have a longer swim in. Food beautiful and well able to stick to

We had a wonderful two nights here. Staff could not do enough for you and they were very friendly. The room was first class and the spa was brilliant. The hotel is beautifully decorated and we had marvellous views of grasmere lake.we would not hesitate to come back.
