My sister and I had a wonderful weekend at this hotel. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and genuine; the hotel was pristine and very tastefully and thoughtfully decorated in stunning surroundings, situated in walking distance from Grasmere which was lovely; the food was excellent and waiting staff very attentive; and the spa experience was very luxurious and professionally attended by the therapists. We were very impressed by the whole experience and would reommend it highly. A very big thank you to all who made us feel so special and treated us individually despite the large quantity of people staying at the same time. A very big thank you. We feel restored and relaxed, as though we've been away for a much longer time, and almost too calm for returning to work this morning. Angela and Caroline Bolt

We stayed 2 nights DBB at The Daffodil Hotel & Spa, we had such a good time we didn't want to come home. The moment we walked into reception we were welcomed with a smile from the receptionist, she booked us in & explained everything we would need to know in a lovely friendly way. Our room was a good size with a massive bed & gorgeous bed linen. The bathroom is modern, huge bath, fantastic shower & of course soft fluffy towels. We had a view to the top end of the lake and a gaggle of grazing geese on the soon to be landscaped open land. The room had everything we would need for a relaxing stay, plus a little quirky extra artwork......... I believe every room has a different little painted surprise ! We spent all day Saturday in the hotel, reading in the lounge which overlooks the lake, mooching around the Hotel looking at the fabulous art & then into the Spa. We did not have any of the treatments on offer, but plan to on our next visit. We used the thermal pool, sauna & steam room ..... So relaxing & what a way to pass time on a rainy Saturday. Our evening meals were delicious with a great choice on the menu, the table staff were helpful & had personalities, they made us feel at home & special. The buffet breakfast has everything you would expect, laid out well & topped up quickly when needed. Again the staff are there if you need them. The check out was friendly,quick & efficient .............. The only thing was, I didn't want to leave, my partner & I both think that for us, this is the best Hotel we have ever stayed at. This hotel is absolutely stunning and in a perfect location. The staff are really friendly and polite and the hotel is kept lovely and clean. Food is delicious and could be seen as a little pricey but worth the money for the quality of it. I would defiantly stay here again and recommend to anyone. Short walk from a wide variety of lovely village shops, cafes and reaturants, also is situated right across from the william Wordsworth dove cottage and two places defiantly to be visited the cocca chocolate shop and the gingerbread shop!

The Daffodil hotel is modern & spotlessly clean with all up to date facilities, & conveniently sited for visiting the surrounding Lakeland area. The staff were friendly & efficient, the food good & plentiful. We enjoyed a very pleasant weekend, & the 2for1 offer from Classic Britain made it amazing value for money.

The multi-million pound refurbishment was spectacular! Very high spec! Stayed for 3 nights, food was delicious and staff were fantastic. Service in restaurant was very slow one night, waited 45mins for starter, was very busy that night.

One of the best hotels I have stayed in. I know it was new, but finished to a very high standard, I could not fault it, great bedrooms, excellent bathrooms, service second to none, food of a high quality, staff could not do enough for you, all in all excellent. If anyone wants to visit the Lakes, I would highly recommend the Daffodil at Grasmere, you won't be disappointed!!
