Simply 'The Best'. There is nothing about this hotel that is negative. Cannot praise The Daffodil enough.

We enjoyed our stay at the Daffodil Hotel & Spa hotel. The room was lovely as is the rest of the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The meals were excellent and the spa pool enjoyable after a day out walking. Would definetely stay there again.

coffee facilities in rooms -the one bag filters are not an improvement on the old satchets / are messy / so please return to the norm. Biscuits were great

What a fantastic hotel!! First time booking online and we expected a little exaggeration......we were overjoyed with the whole package. The hotel was spotless, the staff were more than helpful and thew food was delicious. A five +++ hotel...will definitely be returning.

A gem in the Lake District. From entering the car park we were really impressed. Reception area and staff were very welcoming. Room was super, very clean and fresh. Wonderful shower and super toiletries. All staff were very attentive, particularly those in the restaurant. Certainly a hotel we would recommend and will visit again. Much better than any other hotel we have visited in the Lakes and probably elsewhere in England..

This is the first time we have booked with Classic and the third time we have been to the Daffodil. We have always found the accomodation, service and the food to be of the highest standard although we were a little disapointed with the location of first room we were offered. Compered to our last two visits the first room offered was small and very dark having only one small window which overlooked a tiled roof.The second room which was lighter and larger overlooked what appeared to be outbuildings which seemed to be for staff. Acording to the receptionist these apparently were the only rooms available but it was later found out that the hotel was only half full. We would definately recommend the Daffodil and will definately visit it again.

Our stay at the Daffodil was very enjoyable . The hotel from the entrance to our room was very impressive, lovely decor,clean and fresh. Our room was immaculate, it felt like we were the first to use the room it was that clean. Our bed was very comfortable with a quality tv in front of us. The bathroom very spacious with a top quality finish [ I renovate bathrooms in my business and I would be proud of the finish achieved ]. The spa very relaxing with a warm pool, you don't shudder when you step in ! the biggest steam room we have been in too . The restaurant was welcoming serving good quality food.The salmon beautiful and would recommend finding some room for a portion of garlic bread. Drinks are well priced with a good selection. Finally a word for the staff who were very polite and helpful from the beginning of our stay to our leaving. It is hard to criticize the Daffodil and all we can think of is perhaps a couple of extra ground coffee's in our room, but all I had to do was ask reception who were only too pleased to give me some more. There is no doubt that when we return to Grasmere we will return to the Daffodil.

My wife and I have just spent 2 wonderful nights at this hotel. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Our room was lovely the bed was very large and comfortable, the pillows were wonderful so much so my wife would love to find out where the Daffodil Hotel purchased them. The shower was excellent and everything was immaculate. The food was also excellent and the portions more than ample in the event we both had to forgo the sweet menu on both nights. Our only 'down' side was that because we had not read the description correctly on the web site we did not realise that the pool was a hydro therapy pool and not a swimming pool but had to admit we were glad we tried it out because it was really relaxing. We would not hesitate to use this hotel again and we would certainly recommend it to family and friends. May we thank all the staff for making our stay so enjoyable.

Just returned from 2 nights at Daffodil Hotel & apart from the weather everything else was superb. Hotel very nicely refurbished, rooms large & bathroom huge with large bath & power shower. Meals very good as was treatment at spa. Will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful time at the Daffodil, the hotel having been refurbished was lovely as were the staff especially in the dinning room. The Spa was modern and most welcome after a days walking. I can honestly say that i cannot fault one thing about this hotel. Thankyou.

An enjoyable stay but I would not have liked to have paid the full hotel price. Food nearly as good as The Wordsworth and staff service excelent.
