Disappointed with the room (39) furthest away from reception on second floor - My Hotel ( Best room allocated?), not acknowledged by reception Room was fine, clean etc Breakfast on the second morning was not good, some members of staff didn't seem to understand their role. Had to stand waiting for food dishes to be topped up while my fried egg was sat getting cold

Maybe our expectations were too high but if i'm honest we were a little disappointed. We were using one of the myhotel break vouchers which was given to us as a gift so really didn't know what to expect. No bottle of wine on arrival which was stated on the voucher, requested a quiet room and it wasn't, room was dated and tired looking and bathroom not what i could describe as spotless. Food was nice but we weren't offered any wine with our meal waiter just brougher to our table. Staff were pleasant so no complaints there. Next morning at check out we were given a bill for the room but had to explain it had already been paid for. There's definitely room for improvement but overall wasn't too bad and breakfast was nice.

Very pleasant stay handy for York city centre bus stop just outside front of hotel or walk a long riverside, staff very friendly food good rooms fine, parking on site, all good.

We had a delightful couple of days staying at the Pavilion Hotel. Our room was comfy and clean, the staff were very helpful an friendly and we enjoyed the food. The only downside was that we were on the 2nd floor and the steps are quite steep but as we're fairly able bodied it wasn't a problem.

Nice hotel bout 20 mins walk along river to centre York plenty free parking great 3 course meal on night and lovely breakfast on morning staff very polite and helpful will defo stop here again we stayed on the voucher deal great value for money

Great hotel. Stayed four nights, lovely room, lovely staff, excellent food. Beautiful gardens but unfortunately the weather wasn't good enough for us to take advantage of them! Would recommend, would return.

There is a sign in reception which indicates that on a popular hotel booking site The York Pavilion scored 8.5/10, I felt that is a bit low based on our experience. The service from reception is excellent and nothing is too much trouble The Restaurant staff are lovely and the food for Dinner and breakfast is excellent. Portion size and quality ?

nice hotel, in a great place to walk into York, there was a River Walk but theres a bit of a diversion at the moment, as they are doing Flood Defences, but still a nice walk. We had dinner it was lovely, and a good menu. staff very polite, and the breakfast was also very good, nice dining room looking out over the garden. the room was clean and tidy, not big but had everything we needed.

Had a 2 night DBB deal here for 26 and 27 July 21, Hotel was lovely, staff were very welcoming and food was extremely nice, Situated in lovely grounds and Beautiful little pubs nearby too. Would recommend.

We had a lovely stay at the pavilion hotel , all staff were very helpful and pleasant , they were very happy to help with anything, the hotel is quirky but a bit shabby in places but clean enough , I would not hesitate in recommending the pavilion hotel to my friends and family.

Very friendly and helpful staff who allowed us to park earlier than check-in, enabling us to walk into York city centre for the afternoon. Allow 30 minutes for a leisurely walk! The 3 course dinner with wine included in the voucher was excellent, as was breakfast the following morning. The bedroom was fine with a 5' comfortable bed, but a little stuffy as air conditioning isn't provided. We found an electric fan the following day in the wardrobe! Some parts of the fabric of the hotel are a little bit 'tired' and dated but this wouldn't put us off returning nor recommending to others.Overall all, a really good one night stay in a super location with great customer service from staff.

Staff were very friendly and the food for the two nights was good. Very handed for the bus into York, about 15 min and the stop in York close to all the main attractions. The staff and service from this hotel is always extremely good, we have stayed many times however this is the first time we have booked there through myhotelbreak. Room provided is due an upgrade, it is very tired looking however everything was in order, a good value mini break. We usually stay in the room 33 York room which has been updated but the hotel placed us next door in Room 34 however it is not as large or as nicer quality/layout but is in a lovely quiet part of the hotel courtyard.

Excellent hotel break - great value for money. Beautiful hotel, fabulous helpful and friendly staff. Highly recommend. Can walk along the river or catch the bus into York right outside the hotel. Great little pub The Plough nearby too for good food and drink.

Very much enjoyed our stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent especially the English breakfast. I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.
