This hotel really needs updating. Very old showers only trickle not worth bothering. Staff were lovely especially the young guy on the reception in the restaurant customer service was exceptional.

Fantastic stay from start to finish. Staff friendly and welcoming, all hard working and attentive. Rooms good size with comfortable beds. Good amenities but no toilitries in the room.Great pressure in shower and plenty . Great views and only a 5min walk into town downhill, but mind walk home is uphill. Food fantastic, fresh cooked produce and good size portions. Service during dinner and breakfast was excellent. Good brvice and selection at a reasonable price. Some area of hotel a bit tired looking but you can see the improvements are happening. Look forward to a return as it was an enjoyable stay.

Good hotel, helpful staff and great menu choice. Thank you for a lovely time, weather was sunny and we enjoyed a beer outside 20 minutes walk to main street and slight incline on way back

I was slightly concerned after reading previous reviews but I honestly couldn't find fault. Stayed with partner for 2 nights. Our room was huge and looked like had recently been redone. Maybe we just struck it lucky and got a recently redone room. Few touch ups needed with paint job but that's nothing. The staff were a very pleasant and helpful and the food in restaurant, particularly dinner was lovely. Yes, in some of communal areas few bits looking a wee bit tired and I belive improvements are on going. But it's a 3 star and if anyone goes expecting the Ritz, that's on them. Disappointing that pool not open when stayed and seems to have been varying reasons as to why, if they could possibly get it open that would be a bonus.

Poor staff attitude and efficiency. When we arrived the foreign receptionist did not even look up from his computer for 5 minutes before checking us in.They have us the wrong food order 3 times for breakfast. The tables were far too close to one another, breaking the covid guidelines and most of the guests were all seated in the one small area in the large dining room. All the guests were on the first floor altogether ,again not following covid guidelines as it was unsafe coming out of the rooms in the narrow corridor when others were passing by.The barman was unwilling to enter into any conversation with us when we ordered drinks.I would NOT book this hotel again.

An extremely disappointing experience!!! Hotel & grounds very unkept & run down. I had booked 2 rooms & the shower in one room 111 was not working on arrival, this was reported immediately & wasn’t repaired until Saturday lunchtime onwards. Room 112 - shower had mould on the tiles & a strange stale small. Each bathroom was supplied with 1 toilet roll. Bedroom windows were being held open with a piece of timber. Beds would benefit from being replaced, floors are very uneven. Tables outside were absolutely disgusting & clearly had not been cleaned for sometime. Booked breakfast for 9 30am for 4, on arrival was told to take a seat for a minute, after 10 minutes we approached the dining room door again because a queue of approximately 15 people had formed & (most certainly not social distancing). we were greeted with rather a nippy frosty reception. On the Saturday night while sitting in the lounge room adjacent to the entertainment area & speaking with the singer who had just finished. Within minutes of the entertainer leaving a large piece of plaster fell from the window reveal landing on the radiator & floor, within a short distance to where we were sitting. Although we were fortune enough not to be struck with the plaster we got a bit of a shock, our eyes & throat were affect by the dust. On booking Out I brought to the attention of the receptionist that I felt that all the above complaints were completely unacceptable, to be given a telephone number to call. This I did & was told to put my complaint in an email, this I most certainly will be doing. I hope you appreciate how disappointed & saddened by our experience at the Bespoke - Pitlochry Hydro, it was shambolic !! This stay was to celebrate a special occasion & you can be assured it’s not one to forget but unfortunately not in a good way. Yours Audrey Lauder.

Our stay was lovely & the receptionist who dealt with us was so helpful & nothing was too much bother ( I’m sure her name was Tinny). The communal areas of the hotel are beautiful but the rooms are in need of a refurb & the restaurant menus are limited but overall a lovely hotel.

This hotel is a bit of a mixed bag. It has a beautiful setting and has the potential to be really good. Our room was large with gorgeous views from the large bay windows. However it is looking tired, needs redecoration in a lot of areas. However the lounge area is very pleasant and was a pleasure to be in. The food ranged from average (dinner) to very poor (first breakfast). Both mornings we were told the eggs benedict was not available due to ham shortages! Staff were very professional and helpful in the main - front of house staff very welcoming and attentive. Good for parking and very central. We enjoyed our stay but this hotel could offer much more in the way of quality food and an improved experience.

Booked a two night break here was a good deal. Hotel is needing to be updated its a bit tired, I understand its just been taken over so hopefully the new owners will sort that out. Couldn't fault the staff at all very friendly and adhering to the social distancing lots of hand sanitiser available. Bedroom was basic everything you needed in it and if you needed extra tea coffee towels you could ask at reception. Allowance towards dinner the first night of £25 pp we opted to go with the set menu three courses for £19.95. The meal was very good and a nice selection as was breakfast the next morning. Decided to go on one of the walks recommended in the visitors book to the black spout was a lovely walk and waterfall was spectacular. All in all good value for money and would book again.

Our room was lovely and spacious and beds were comfy. The staff were all pleasant and helpful. We stayed for dinner bed and breakfast and im sad to say the food was terrible. Our steaks in the evening were overcooked, frozen packed oven chips and the diane sauce was simply peppercorn sauce with mushrooms thrown in.. not what i would expect from a hydro hotel. Breakfast both mornings were very disappointing, cold toast, asda own brand yogurts, eggs were overcooked and scrambled egg was green in colour and dry. The servers didnt come over once to ask how the food was, which speaks volumes.. they know how bad the food is. If the food at this hotel improved it would drastically improve the overall experience, sadly it just wasnt worth the extra money we paid. The hotel itself was lovely but please dont eat here, please spend your money in the local resturants in the town of pitlochry, many to choose from and very reasonably priced. Sadly we would not choose to stay here again.

Our 2 night stay in a superior room was enjoyable. Staff friendly and accommodating, the room was basic but clean and what is needed. The food was ok, it didn’t make us stay for our 2nd nights dinner. We understand it’s an extremely difficult time for staff in hotels due to the restrictions and felt that the staff at Pitlochry Hydro were great! I felt very safe, being 6 months pregnant. We will definitely return when the hotel has settled in with the new owners and hope the leisure facilities will be open then too.
