Pleasant two night return visit to the Links Hotel. Great location for Montrose and surrounding areas. Small problem with staffing numbers but they did a great job and didn't get flustered in the dining room and we were compensated with some complementary wine!

Bin in toilet had not been emptied. On our arrival we found used sanitary product still in bin. Half empty bottle of Dr Peppers on Verandah. The items were removed on my request by staff. Food disgusting . Dust on Towel radiator in Bathroom

Very enjoyable stay. Room was very comfortable, modern with thick carpeting throughout the upgraded rooms. Food was excellent, with plenty of it both at dinner and breakfast. Very friendly staff - nothing too much trouble and catered for Coeliac and vegetarian requirements.

Had a lovely break in this lovely quiet hotel. Situated in a nice location in Montrose ,our room had a balcony looking over car park to nice park with children's play area . We were given free entry to Montrose Air Station which was worth a visit ,very interesting. Breakfast and dinner meals were fantastic ,great choices and more than enough on our plates.!! Very nice attentive and friendly staff.

Our bedroom was in the new part of the hotel and was well appointed although the shower was tricky to turn on and the heated towel rail was very hot and could not be turned down. Most of the staff were pleasant although the waitress who was working on our first night seemed confused about the dinner options. The food was of a good quality but not very imaginative. A pleasant enough stay but we would not go back.

Room excellent and comfortable. Food excellent . Staff excellent. Bathroom had a couple of minor problems but quite adequate. There was a slight misnderstanding regarding dinner and if it was an allowance or Table d'hote however, I doubt if anything on the Ala carte menu was any tastier than the food we had TdH.

ON ARRIVAL AT THE HOTEL WE WERE TOLD THAT ONLY ONE ROOM HAD BEEN RESERVED INSTEAD OF TWO. THE LADY AT THE DESK COULD NOT HAVE BEEN MORE HELPFUL IN TRYING TO LOCATE ROOMS AT ANOTHER HOTEL IN THE VICINITY. FINALLY AFTER ASSERTING THAT NO ROOMS WERE AVAILABLE ANYWHERE ELSE, MY FRIENDS DECIDED TO TAKE THE SINGLE ROOM (4FT BED) THAT THE HOTEL HAD, OTHERWISE WE WOULD HAVE BEEN GOING HOME RATHER QUICKLY. THE ROOM WE HAD WAS AN EXECUTIVE AND IT HAD A LARGE SUPERKING BED IN IT. THE FOOD WAS REALLY NICE AND THE HOTEL WAS MOST APOLOGETIC ABOUT THE HASSLE WE HAD AND ON CHECKING OUT WE DISCOVERED THAT THEY WERE NOT CHARGING FOR THE SINGLE ROOM. THAT WAS VERY GOOD OF THEM INDEED. THE HOTEL ITSELF WAS LOVELY AND WE WOULD DEFINITELY GO BACK AGAIN IF IN THE AREA.

Hotel was spotlessly clean and our room was very comfortable. Every single member of staff we met was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The food was generally good, with ample portions, the, only slight complaint was the lack of choice on the table d'hote menu, although I realise this helps to keep down the cost. Would be more than happy to book another stay here.

This hotel was terrific the parking, the room, the view, the Victorian hotel with the stained windows were lovely I presume it captured the 4 seasons very quaint, the dining room and the cafe very good, hotel nice and clean, staff super, kept the best to the last the food was fantastic congrats to the chef we will definitely re-visit this hotel

We spent 2 nights here on a DBB package in April 16. We would definately go back to this hotel. The food was excellent quality-I had seafood both nights which I really enjoyed, my husband had steak which he couldn't fault either. We paid for an upgraded room and was pleased with the size, the warmth,and the facil in the room. The hotel is central for Montrose with plenty of parking. We would especially like to mention the staff, who were very friendly and helpful

Older family run hotel. Don't know i the rooms are to the same standard but our party had numbers 6/7/8 and they were very well appointed and comfortable. Couldn't fault any aspect of the service and we were particularly pleased one of our number who requires gluten free food had a good choice and didn't have to remind the staff she required gluten free toast - after the first request no need to request it again.

Great Break we were made very welcome and found staff to be very helpful and experienced. Room was very clean and spacious and had everything we needed for the break. The meals were very good and I especiall liked the relaxed environment for our dinner and breakfast which we enjoyed.Woudl definately recommend this hotel.
