Food was lovely but staff very slow in replenishing food for the buffet breakfast. We had to wait for hot food and bread for toast as did many others which is a shame because every other aspect of the hotel and staff was excellent

The foyer and corridors would benefit from some redecoration in lighter colours. Staff were helpful and breakfast service excellent.

While the bedroom we stayed in was a good size and comfortable the bathroom could do with some upgrading and modernisation. The suite and decor is old fashioned and there is mould growing on the ceiling. Brighter lights in the bathroom would also be an improvement in my opinion. Staff are all very pleasant and attentive while the food was delicious (except for the mushroom stroganoff which was bland and tastless with stodgy rice)

bathrooms are very tired an need up dated, hand bar of the bath and mould round the bath. staff very helpful. this was a present for my mum and felt let down by the state of the bathrooms.

We had a lovely stay. Bedroom was fine but bathroom was pretty tired. Staff were all very pleasant and very hard working. Food was good too.

Break was fine bathroom could do with being updated very mouldy looking around the bath.Food good and the staff in the dining room were excellent an assett to the Columba.

very welcoming, friendly staff on reception. a tad too many non-English speaking staff in the restaurant - no feeling of easy-going friendliness there. perhaps introduce one or two "local" waiters/waitresses into the mix? room very comfortable and well-equipped, also nice large bathroom

I was very dissapointed in this hotel. It was dated, my shower was little more than a trickle of water and everytime the next room used their bathroom, the extractor fan sounded like a washing machine above my room. By the time I had been disturbed 3 times and it was 12pm, it seemed too late to attempt to change room - although I did get up from bed, get dressed and went down to the reception, to mention it to the receptionist around midnight. I wasn't offered an alternative room. Food was dry and below parr - I was surprised that it had a 3 star rating. Location was good.

perfect location, friendly staff, good food .....2nd time stayed here and will be back again. Asked for easy access room and got one which was great for my mother, only little thing i would fix was the lighting

We enjoyed our time at the Columba Hotel and All the staff that we met were friendly and courteous.They were espcially helpful to us because we could not use our walking sticks and lack of balance when food was self service. Agnes who served us at breakfast was very good - nothing was too much trouble for her. We will try other hotels in this group soon Alison and Frank Day room 128

I booked this hotel because of its proximity to the Eden Court Theatre - it was only a 5 minute walk away. We enjoyed our stay at the Columba very much. The hotel was busy with two separate bus parties so we enquired when they would be having breakfast and dinner and we avoided these times, thus receiving good service.

Enjoyed our stay at the Columba but would like to point out the following. Room 126 - pity about the wallpaper hanging from the ceiling in the bathroom, also the grouting round the shower needs refreshing.
