Gorgeous restaurant and facilities. The full place was immaculate and the grounds stunning. Food was excellent, staf lovely and we will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

Hotel was lovely - warm welcome, beautiful smells, cosy room but adequate for what we needed. Place is spotless - the whole set up is impressive. Can imagine the weddings hosted there will be stunning! Food was amazing, Palaminos was buzzing - even on a Wednesday night! Only thing that let it down was the over cooked dry breakfast - disappointed after such beautiful food the night before.

Hotel as lovely first time me and my partner stayed here overall I would say a 8.5/10 and I only marked it down a bit because of the sauna on the west balcony that I hired out wasn’t working to full capacity probably about half which should have been checked over as it was not hot at all other than that everything was excellent clean tidy rooms food was lovely and even the steak pie had meat in it ?? (most places have about 2-3 bits in it with gravy) hot tub was excellent and stay were helpful too

The hotel room was nice, very comfy bed and lovely view of the training ring for the horses. Dinner at palominos was delicious and the staf very friendly. Breakfast the next day was ok, but felt it had been sat out a while as a few of the items felt overcooked due to being under the lamps. Also the pastries on offer were soggy.

Stunning views from the room and grounds surrounding the place are amazing. Very friendly helpful staff. Rooms could have been slightly cleaner lots of dust, stains on the carpet, makeup on the tiles in the bathroom, switch in the bathroom hanging off the wall. Fantastic breakfast choices with something to suit everyone.

Hi our stay was lovely! The only thing lacking is a nice quiet lounge area to sit in with a drink to relax. We had to come in from the rain about 4 o’clock and could only sit round the bar area which was full and not very relaxing as drinks and dinners were being served and it was not relaxing at all.

Our overnight was unfortunately average. We really enjoyed our meal and drinks in the restaurant which was lovely. But our room 14 was sweltering hot - really ridiculous heat. Even with the windows open and the fan in the room on (which was extremely noisy) it was a sleepless night for both of us. Very disappointing considering this overnight stay cost a total of £159 for the room and breakfast. Staff were helpful and the breakfast was really good.

I’m not usually one for bad reviews but this was shockingly poor after hearing rave reviews. We checked in and the room wasn’t the best so we kindly got moved rooms but we still felt the decor was dated. They really need a revamp I felt like I was living in the 1990s with the decor and connecting rooms. I thought it would get better with hearing good things about the restaurant, but that wasn’t quite the case. We sat at the bar for drinks before hand and I can’t praise the bar staff enough. The new bar manager was superb. I feel like he will update the tail menu and do better for the restaurant and bar (I’m so sorry I didn’t get any names) some of the restaurant staff I couldn’t fault. I feel the girls with the waist coats were managerial as they seamed like the only ones that made an effort. Anyone with a red apron on you can tell it’s just a part time job for them and they didn’t want to be there. The food did not live up to the restaurant’s reputation and to be honest, it was the worst steak I’ve had. The steak was over cooked and tough and the lamb shank my partner had was “like eating a welly boot”. We were in that restaurant for 3 hours because the service was so slow. We actually asked to cancel the deserts because it was taking so long and we were getting a bit hacked off by this point. This was a Christmas gift to stay overnight with breakfast included with us paying for dinner. Really not worth the money. Only giving 2 stars because of the staff I could see that really made the effort. We couldn’t wait to check out the following morning and leave.

My partner and I really loved our stay, the room was immaculate, had everything we needed and even a great view of the horses. We went for dinner which was also lovely and we got drinks from the bar and some cakes to take away, the staff were so friendly and always there to help. Our breakfast was a little disappointing as the only hot food left was black pudding and beans, we waited a little to see if more food got put out as it was only 9:30 but we ended up just leaving. Other than this it was great and we would definitely come back

Highly recommend. Such a beautiful place, the staff couldn’t do enough for you. Food was delicious, such big portions, and wow the cakes, had to get the strawberry tart boxed up for later. Such a surprise to see the gorgeous horses outside our window. Will definitely be back.

Fantastic!! From walking in the door and being greeted by lovely girl on reception, room was big, clean and very comfortable and we had a lovely view. Dinner, drinks, breakfast was lovely. All the staff were nice. Will definitely be back.

Overall the stay was great. The service in Palomino’s was very slow, not that we were in a hurry but the restaurant was very very warm and we had to chase the staff for another round of drinks. The dessert order took so long half of the table left to go outside for fresh air.

Nice overnight stay and anniversary dinner. Due to the hot and sunny weather drinks and dinner were alfresco which made it a bit more special. Service for drinks and dinner were superb and the outdoor setting was lovely. Rooms a bit on the small side but fine for 1 night. View over towards a fishing loch in the middle of the countryside was a nice bonus. Breakfast in the morning was a hot buffet style with loads of choice before setting off back home. All the staff we encountered were extremely friendly and eager to please. Overall would highly recommend and I'm sure we will return.

Enjoyed stay couple of minor issues , broken glass on ground on gazebo area , staff cleaned after being told about it , seating and tables bird poo on quite a few of the seats and tables, base of shower cubicle a bit slippy could do with rubber mat cheers

Such a beautiful place, I felt as if I was miles away from city life but yet really close to reach other places of interest. My only complaint would be the admin, we were handed a voucher to cover dinner, b&b but it turns out dinner was not included as we were told at checkout. Then someone else's dinner and drinks were also added to our bill. I have complained directly with hotel just check your bil at check out. All other areas are perfect and not had a response to my complaint.

Stayed twice here now and both time had a lovely time rooms are beautiful and views are beautiful as well. Went for are evening meal and this was outstanding as well recommend this place will definitely be back.
