We upgraded to room in hotel because courtyard room was uninspiring. We had a lovely room 114 worth the extra. Food was excellent and brilliant value. The only thing we didn't like was the very small restaurant. I was thinking because it was a Sunday and quiet this is the room they used. However we would stay again if the price was right.

From entering hotel to leaving all staff very helpful and friendly. Particularly dining room staff. Rooms a good size with all amen. Beautiful grounds. The biggest plus was we were there on a deal.No cheapskate menu. Full choice from main menu. Top marks for that. We will be back!

Great time at gem of a hotel, staff were very friendly, welcoming and polite. Our room was excellent and spotlessly clean, the food was very well cooked and tasty, staff in restaurant were excellent and the breakfast was delicious, especially the homemade pancake. A credit to Ayrshire and will definitely return someday soon.....well done to all the staff at the hotel, one team working well together brings excellent results..

This was a fantastic value break with DBB tails thrown in both nights. The room we were allocated was spacious and clean and the beds comfortable. I have to make special mention of the food which was fantastic on both nights, the breakfasts great. Lovely staff. We will be back very soon.

Fantastic value break. Lovely, large room - though not in main hotel building. But the food and restaurant service .... Wow! Quality, fine dining. Best meal we've had in a long time. tails were lovely too. Very friendly welcome from all staff we encountered. Can't recommend highly enough.

Had a fantastic 1 night stay, on the occasion of my husband's retirement. We were given a free upgrade to a terraced suite, this was fabulous. We have never stayed in such a huge luxurious room. It was overlooking the race course. The breakfast was wonderful, everything about our stay was great and would highly recommend.

Hotel had all the amen you would expect. Food and hospitality were excellent. Great value for money. Would strongly recommend. Only negative was that the main hotel was empty and an upgrade to the main hotel could have been offered particularly since we had to run outside in a particularly horrible night.

Good value for money stay at 109 pounds for DBB plus a glass of wine for two people,with the added bonus of no supplements on a la carte menu which included top of the range steak which I had. So much of a good deal I have booked it again,mind its the Winter Warmer deal if booking! Additionally,staff very courteous and chatty to customers,nice welcome touch!!

Absolutely fabulous night at the Western House Hotel & party night at Ayr Racecourse. We had it all. Gorgeous hotel, big room, amazing food, midnight nibbles, fantastic music. We will definitely be booking up for Xmas 2016. Would thoroughly recommend. Fantastic website, keep the deals coming.

Lovely hotel, we stayed in room 114 in the main hotel. Fabulous room with all you could need for a relaxed and comfortable stay. The food, dinner and breakfast was excellent. Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and we would definitely stay here at again.

The Western House hotel more than lived up to previously read reviews. This wonderful hotel and all the staff can hold their heads high and say we are achieving well above the expected comforts and hospitality. The rooms in the hotel from entrance through hall and reception to dinning room and toilets were immaculate. We spent two nights here and although there was a party night on ( which we were not part of) Friday the staff seemed to treat us with more attention. The food in the dinning room was beautiful and a huge thanks to David and his staff in there for two very enjoyable nights. The bar staff coped very well and kept that sense of humour you expect from us scots during some testing times(170 party guests) Once again thanks and we will definently. Return and recommend highly to friends and family

Brilliant hotel great area 10 min from Ayr town centre rooms brilliant food superb service excellent would recommend this hotel.the icing on the cake was a free upgrade to a suite!!!.

Very slow service at dinner-2 hours.The main course had been kept hot and the trio of fish was bland and not as described on the menu.There was little choice of food at breakfast and the plates were all cold for the cooked breakfast.
