I dont usually write reviews for hotels but felt I had to write one for this hotel. One of the best hotels I have stayed in by far. More than met my expectations and the upgrade I received upon check-in was a very pleasant surprise. Hotel and room immaculate. Staff couldnt be more accommodation and food in restaurant very good with great attention to detail. Will definitely be back and hopefully receive another upgrade!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Disappointed the dining room was fully booked by the time we checked in at 4.15pm but we were very well looked after for dinner in the lounge. The hotel had been contacting guests prior to their arrival to ask if they wished to book a table but they did not have a contact number for us on the details of the booking. The hotel was very busy as there was a wedding on but staff were still extremely attentive and made us feel nothing was another. We would definitely stay here again

To avoid disappointment. we do try and contact all our guests prior to arrival to arrange dining times for them. Super two day chill-out break D.B.& B.Free upgrade to main building was a very pleasant surprise.Room was terrific.Food even better.Staff are unbelievably pleasant,courteous,& a credit to the hotel.. Been here a few times now,still leaves other 4* hotels in it's wake...Gardens immaculate even in late Autumn.Gardening staff obviously enjoy their work.All in all,Unbeatable value for money...Looking so forward to our next visit.Thank you all at Western House Hotel

We had a really good stay at Western House we did have ants around wash basin on the first night but the receptionist changed our room in the morning when we explained the situation she could not have been more helpful. The staff were really friendly and helpful throughout our stay from the house keeping porter the reception staff Chefs and Hazel the team leader in the restaurant. The staff are great ambassadors for the Scottish hospitality industry and their Managers should be proud of their staff.

Attended a wedding and obviously the bar was busy but for some of the time only one person was serving so service was slow.

Spent a lovely week end at this hotel. Rooms were a good size, food was very nice with no supplements to pay even for steak and the surroundings were very pleasant. Not too far from the town centre and other local attractions. Would not hesitate to return.

A bit disappointed this time. Our room had a faulty toilet so we had to move rooms. The next room had a faulty toilet lid! The meal was excellent on the first night but disappointing on the second night. The breakfast is a disaster. The food available was always laid out in the past as is in any hotel!! Now only 2 choices of fruit juice are on offer and only cereal is laid out. If you want anything else you have to ask for it. This is crazy when you don't know what is on offer and they don't know what exactly you want and how much of it. I found this really annoying. The cooked breakfast was fine. Also the first morning the fire alarm went off and we had to wait about an hour for toast and coffee although other people got served sooner. Please lay breakfast out as before -it is legal to leave food out for 3 hours -as this is so frustrating for guests. I like to see what is on offer and take what I would like. Thanks

Beautiful hotel, lovely ambience, decorated for Christmas, enjoyed sitting by the fire and Christmas tree. All the staff really friendly and helpful. Will be back again.

Had a bit of difficulty using the gift voucher, many restrictions were in place to receive the benefits of the voucher when first contacting Classic Britain. However in the end I agreed to book a stay at the Western House Hotel forfeit some of the benefits and pay the difference. All I can say about the Western House hotel in Ayr is excellent. The staff at reception were exceptional, we received a upgraded room which was beautiful and the dinner was excellent. There was a lovely choice on the menu at both dinner and breakfast and the staff were very friendly and attentive. We had an excellent stay and look forward to repeating it.

We were given a complimentary upgrade to a room in the main building. The room looked out onto the gardens and was enormous. Everything about our stay was excellent. The only regret was that it was for 1 night only.

Had an excellent stay at Western House Hotel. Our room was very good and an excellent size with a sofa and table and chairs and a bigger than average bed. Staff were excellent very helpful and friendly. No hesitation on returning for another stay in the future.
