Eglinton Arms Hotel, Eaglesham

I stayed at this Hotel for 4 nights with my partner. We booked a standard room but then took the offer of the honeymoon suite for 3 nights. I do not think I can praise this hotel high enough. The staff and Management bent over backwards 24/7 to help us with anything we needed. This high level of service is usually only found in 5 star Hotels. I was blown away by all the staff at this hotel. So friendly and welcoming and nothing was ever too much to ask for. The food is of the utmost high quality and we ate the steak 2 nights out of the 4 nights as it was the best we ever had. The cleaning ladies really looked after us and we will miss our daily chats with them. Honestly if you want the best service and to be treated like Royalty then look no further than this lovely Hotel and it's utterly amazing team of staff. We will be back soon and thank you guys for being so nice.

I was not happy with the room that we were allocated in the hotel. No window , velux windows and blinds .Very small, had to ask to be moved .Only rooms available a bit bigger , however still the same issue with no window.Room decor totally dark , mainly dark brown .It was quite a depressing room .We did upgrade ,still no window. advised it would be another £20.00, which we paid . However on check out we were advised £20 still due as it was per night! If we had been advised of this we would not have upgraded , so it cost us another £40.00 for the deal . The staff and evening meal and breakfast were fine.I would not choose this hotel again

Room was a little small but will upgrade next time we visit, Bath towel has seen better days when unfolded it was full of holes, but overall it was a nice stay.

Nice hotel inside and out.Ample parking. Staff friendly and helpful. Reasonably priced and varied lounge menu. Very hot bedroom but staff provided a fan. Room a little tired but overall excellent value for money.Breakfast good and cooked to order. Would return.

Was a lovely hotel & staff were great. Room wasn't great, shower was spraying from the top & soaked the whole bathroom including our clothes. This would have been a known fault as there was mould on the ceiling from the water. Also paid extra for a later check out to have the maid walk in & a tester fire alarm going off 3 times (which we weren't told about) so that was a bit disappointing.

A traditional spacious welcoming old style hotel. Our Room 10, while a little small, had all the comforts, including customer selectable temperature control, and modern ensuite. The public areas comprising reception, lounge bar, and restaurant, also obviously popular with the locals, are well appointed with plenty of comfortable sofas. The food was well prepared, generously portioned, and reasonably priced. An ideal hotel for a chill-out break, while only 13 miles from Glasgow city centre.

Hotel is absolutely beautiful, staff are friendly and attentive. Paid for a superior room but not sure that's why we had. Seemed small are more like a standard. Room seems a little dark. The beds are insanely comfy though. Food in the restaurant is really nice too.

Have stayed at this hotel several times before. Found the dinner menu much more restrictive this time . 4 starters - 1 of which had a supplement, 6 main courses - 3 of which had supplements and 4 desserts. Choices for mains if you didn’t want to pay a surcharge were margarita pizza, macaroni and garlic bread and vegetable curry.£2 surcharge for burger and fish and chips and £9 for steak. I asked if I could swap the garlic bread with the macaroni for chips and was told I would need to pay for the chips. Stayed before on a Sunday and been offered the Sunday roast in addition to the dinner menu and previously had no problem swapping garlic bread for chips so this hotel is obviously making cutbacks on their food. Waitress could only find 1 copy of the dinner menu. Were in rm 15 at the very far end of the building and I got little sleep as was disturbed every 10 minutes or so by a noisy fan or motor from downstairs so if you are a light sleeper best to avoid this room.Hotel didn’t appear too busy but all the guests seemed to be in rooms together far away from reception. Bathroom was very small and challenging to manoeuvre in. Staf very friendly, checkin was efficient and room was clean and warm on arrival. Breakfast was cooked to order and tea, coffee and toast were brought out fresh to you. Continental breakfast seemed a little sp but this was probably because they had few guests. Better half says bed was comfy as he slept like a log.

Great hotel. Very friendly staff who provide excellent service. Had pizza deal which was delicious. Room spotlessly clean . Breakfast was amazing. Bar prices a bit steep but typical hotel prices
