Absolutely phenomenal stay, we stayed 2 nights and the service was above and beyond. I'd like to thank all the staff for being on the ball with my severe food allergy and allowing me to chill knowing I was in great hands. The meals were fantastic, views stunning, grounds beautiful, hotel absolutely spotless and the staff are the best I've come across. Will definitely be back to visit again soon. Snuz ?

Had a lovely stay, every member of staff was wonderful, breakfast staff were fabulous nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were spacious, warm and incredibly quiet.

We were Checked in to a room on 1st floor but unfortunately the lift was out of order. We asked for a room on ground floor as Stairs were difficult for me and this was granted. Rooms were clean, food was good and staff were very pleasant.

We had a great two night break. The staff was so nice and helpful from the reception to the restaurant they couldn't be more helpful. Breakfast and dinner was very good and an excellent choice. The hotel was lovely and our room was very nice with a super large new bathroom and walk in shower. Will definitely go back.

I would highly recommend. We visited this hotel for 1 night and were very grateful that they allowed us to add our baby and dog on. The staff were so friendly and gave Millie (the dog) as much attention as Olivia (the baby). The hotel it's self was beautiful with lit fireplaces, a library and a drawing room where you could play chess, listen to records and or just sit and read. Will definitely be returning.

The hotel is very clean and with plenty of spaces to relax in. The log fires were very welcome given the cold weather outside. The period furnishings and original features in the building are very appropriate and fit in nicely with the Victorian style castle. The staff were very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. Our dog Rosie was very welcome and the grounds and gardens had some wonderful plants and trees which will be stunning in the spring. Loads of scope for having a good walk within the grounds and around the island

What a beautiful place. We took our new puppy. Everyone was so lovely and friendly and were so helpful. The food delicious and plenty of it. Our puppy was so chilled and loved all the attention. The only thing was our room was at a fire exit and feel because we were on this deal we got put at the end of a corridor at the end of the hotel! The room was lovely and we would love to go back.

Our stay was amazing. The offer was fantastic from this website. Amazing food, amazing service and room was gorgeous. Fabulous bathroom with very spacious shower. One recommendation would be to have an iron in the bedroom. Also, the restaurant was beautiful however the prices of the food was extortionate for the amount you got. Breakfast was very good (unless the chef has a mental breakdown and you sit for a while waiting...), other than that it was very tasty! The walks around the Hotel were lovely and the weather was fantastic. Also a perfect place to come (without the kids) for peace and tranquility. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at Stonefield Castle Hotel. On arrival we received a very warm welcome and were shown to our room, which was lovely . Staff were all extremely pleasant and genuinely nice . Food was lovely . We had dinner and breakfast . Gardens are lovely and very well kept. We will definitely be back soon.

Had a wonderful time at Stonefield - All staff were amazing and couldn’t do enough for us and our dog. Room was lovely and spacious. Our only little gripe is that the room was a little dusty (around sockets and the handwash in the bathroom). Hotel was lovely was toasty warm and the food for dinner and breakfast was delicious. We would definitely come back!

Lovely hotel with great staff, staff very friendly and happy to help with any requests. Food in the restaurant was good but expensive for the amount you got. Breakfast had a great selection and well presented. The grounds around the hotel where lovely to walk around, with great views over Loch Fyne.

The hotel was super cosy. It was such a cold day and when we arrived there were two fires roaring in the fireplaces. The staff at the hotel were first class - attentive without being intrusive. The food was good but the choices available at the breakfast buffet were fantastic - best choice I have had at any hotel I have visited in the UK so far. Thanks for a lovely stay and we will return with our wee dog next time!

If I was rating Stonefield on staff alone it would be 10/10. They were really really good. Efficient, friendly, helpful, very natural and work very well as a team. The Hotel is in a really lovely spot with a fabulous outlook. It’s a beautiful old building full of history and charm. We booked a principle room as we wanted more space as we were taking our wee dog. The average score I have given is down to a few things that make a huge difference to me. If I’m paying £200 upwards for a hotel room I expect a good bed. I shouldn’t be able to feel the bed springs. Unfortunately my side of the bed had seen better days. (It was a zip link bed made up with 2 different single mattresses). It visibly dipped in the middle and my poor back will need a few days to recover! The room was clean but had a bit of a musty smell. The furniture and sofa etc were stained and worn. The principle rooms are the ‘best’ rooms but, for me, don’t represent good value for money in their current condition. The food was good quality but expensive and there wasn’t a lot to choose from. Breakfast was very good though. The hotel is super dog friendly and for that reason we may well return but only if I knew the mattress was replaced!
