Hi It saddens me to write this review. I have stayed at the Winnock on five previous occasions with no complaints. However this time we were allocated room No67, it is very cramped and tiny, not big enough for a single. Toilet cramped & extremely hot and uncomfortable, could not regulate dangerously hot towel radiator. You had to sit on the toilet pan at an angle, being careful not to burn your legs on radiator or bang your shoulder on the sink. Only one power point & bed too small for a couple. Lucky if we slept a few hours, left more tired than when we arrived. As a regular customer , we were very disappointed, let down and the loyalty we have for the Winnock is now very low. No means of regulating the air in this cramped room ,if you wanted any privacy, as the old windows opened at a low level adjacent to the public pedestrian path, which was very busy on the Friday. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Winnock Hotel, very clean & the staff were all very friendly, the foodwas excellent. My sister had an accident the morning we were leaving & the staff were excellent in dealing with her, two of them were trained in first aid & were very good with her. Most impressed.

Hi I really enjoyed my break at the Winnock. We visit this hotel often. Great food and lovely staff. Always very helpful. The only thing I was not happy about was the room. It was very clean and tidy but the kids that were on the same floor would constantly run and jump down the stairs in the corridor.

Considering I only booked the day before, everything was top class. My request for a ground floor room was met. Staff were excellent. Food was the best I have eaten for a long time. I certainly will return and would recommend this hotel to anyone.

We had a lovely stay at the Winnock.... the staff were excellent and couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming.... they were kept very busy as the hotel caters for coach parties and organised events of which both were taking place last weekend so service was quite slow especially in the bar!... the rooms are large but in need of an upgrade as slightly musty and decoration was tired and the bathroom needed a complete overhaul ...but to the hotels credit the room was very clean and the bath sheets were ultra luxurious... we would definitely go back again as Drymen is a lovely place and the Winnock has a lot of charm.

Another great night DBB at The Winnock Hotel No complaints regarding dinner at night and our breakfast, plentiful. Hotel staff from start to finish very friendly. Room clean - ( mixing the water for the shower was a bit temperamental ) And to top it all off was some entertainment in the bar by the way of a singer. When the DBB deal comes back out I’ll book again.

Great weekend break for our anniversary. Good value for money, great food, good modern rooms and entertainment on Saturday night.highly recommend the chefs steak pie from the bar menu. Best ever.

Had a lovely night here. Really chilled time, lovely friendly staff especially lady at reception and young man behind the bar. Food was good and plentiful. Room was good size, really clean (bath panel needs wee bit attention). Only thing was as it overlooked the back we were woken by deliveries and staff talking at one point. As area is quiet voices easily heard ( we know ody had thought to bring milk in !!!) Would definitely return

We have just returned from a two night stay at this beautiful , historic and quaint hotel [ formerly a Coaching Inn ] and we had a fantastic time . Everything was top drawer and our young son loved his visit [ he is already requesting a return in the summer ] . I highly recommend this lovely establishment and we shall definitely return in the near future for a longer stay . Well done .

My husband, kids and I stayed at the Winnoch for Easter. We had a really really good time. Our room was lovely, a bit tired, in areas but my daughter loved the balcony in the family superior room. Tv in bathroom was not working at first and took a couple of hours for batteries in remote to be fixed but other than that, staff were friendly, especially receptionist with long brown hair. Food was fab! We very much enjoyed our stay.

Great night away with friends for my birthday on a DBB break with a glass of wine included. Excellent value for money. Lovely clean rooms and comfortable beds. The meal was amazing. There were 5 of us and there wasn’t a scrap of food left on any of the plates! All of the plates were piping hot which is always a bonus. The largest plate of cheese and biscuits I have ever had! Also included coffee or tea and the coffee was amazing - in a proper coffee cup - like Costa coffee, only better. Not the usual strong horrible stuff you sometimes get! Breakfast was also very good, freshly made to order. I left my iPhone charger in my room, but I phoned the hotel and they posted it on to me within 2 days! I will definitely return!

Location great but the facilities were sub standard with the toilet towel rail ingrained with dirt and had obviously not been cleaned other than the top three rails for a considerable time. Toilet roll holder not attached and was left lying on the shelf. Only one bath towel in the room and had to request a second which took an hour to arrive. Food was not as expected being rather dull and tough going. I would certainly not recommend this hotel to anyone and will certainly not be back.
