Room was freezing & also very dated, the bed was a small double definitely not big enough for 2 adults would not recommend this hotel

Had the best weekend at the hotel with my husband , sister & brother in law for his 40 th birthday. John at reception was brilliant! He upgraded my sister to the tower room which was amazing with great views. He also let us know what pubs were good around the area. We will defo be back . The staff were all amazing including Janice at breakfast

Lovely welcome on arrival, rooms have what you need, lovely view of the seafront, a little dated but that didn't bother us. Dinner was lovely, good portions and a good choice on the menu. Breakfast was also lovely , the staff very attentive. Will definitely come back again

The only thing that let my stay down was the very very slow and disappearing bar staff, I had an issue with my room with the bed being extremely uncomfortable and I didnt have a good night sleep the lovely lady on reception moved me to another room no problem

We were there for "A load of old crocs" murder mystery weekend and had an absolutely fantastic time. The room was great, the town looked amazing in the sunshine, and every member of staff was friendly and welcoming. Special mention for the big chap on the front desk who couldn't have been more cheery and helpful. Will definitely return.

Have stayed many times over the years, always return, dinner, bed and breakfast was very good value, although the breakfast could be a bit better, everything else was really good, will be back.

We had a lovely stay at the Argyll Hotel. Although having just booked the day before we arrived everything was great and even had an upgrade to our room. The staff were superb and the food was all that you could ask for and plenty of choice. We felt that it was very good value for money and would not hesitate coming back again.

We were delighted with our stay at the Argyll Hotel in Dunoon. The staff couldn’t do enough for us on our first night, we were part of a group of ten friends. However on the second night we felt that there just wasn’t enough staff on to accommodate the hotel being busy. That was a bit dissappointing. Our room was massive with a beautiful view but in need of some tlc. The chair fabric was worn and torn and your feet stuck to the carpet. We still feel it was great value for money as the food was very good.

Overall excellent entertainment at the murder mystery event . Hotel is badly in need of room renovations! Food was surprisingly good and drink reasonably priced .

We had premier room which was clean comfortable with sufficient toiletries and hospitality items. John on reception was particularly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great and staff very efficient. Dinner wasn’t as good. Portion sizes differed for same meals and meat/chicken in main courses was tough and/or dry. Would return on bed/ breakfast basis.

Staff were lovely , couldn’t do enough for you. We were lucky to have front room with a view . Room was comfortable and very clean. Food was delicious. Hopefully to make a return visit .

The hotel was great in every aspect. Friendly staff, cleanliness, and food was delicious. We had a wonderful weekend and the murder mystery was excellent. Will be returning in the near future for more brilliant times.

Hotel and staff were excellent. Very helpful from start to finish. Room was a bit dated had all the usual stuff hairdryer, kettle shower and bath. Bed was comfy.

A warm comfortable traditional Scottish Victorian Era Hotel. If you want an anodyne characterless chain hotel, don't come here! In a commanding raised position overlooking the foreshore and pier, the public areas and many of the bedrooms have a stunning view over the Clyde Estuary. We were on a myhotelbreak DBB deal for less than £100 per night, amazing value. Our Room 117 on the second floor (there is a lift) had a magnificent view. It was a typical fairly modern room but with better than usual storage provision and drawers, and a refitted bathroom with a good shower unit. The Bar area and Restaurant are very attractive and comfortable, with several chesterfield leather sofas. Drinks prices are fair. A bottle of very palatable House Wine is £19.95. The meals are excellent and portions generous. The inhouse Rio Italian Restaurant is also available to residents and is also excellent.The Staff are a significant asset. All were friendly and efficient. We would definately come back here.

Large, comfortable room with sea view all as advertised. An excellent "Allo Allo" murder/mystery weekend with hilarious performances by the "Walking Theatre Company". The well presented 3 course meals by very courteous staff were delicious. "I shall say this only once". A great value 2 night stay.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel, the staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was very acceptable and our room was spotless with a lovely view . I would not hesitate to recommend the Argyll hotel.
