Landmark Hotel, Dundee

This hotel was not as expected for a luxury break. The room was excessively hot (we asked to move rooms several times and were given two fans, which made the room sound like an airport). We actually talked about leaving this hotel after our second night (we were booked to stay for 6) because we were just so tired. Added to the noise it the fans is the mattress on our bed - it is really uncomfortable and we constantly rolled into the middle. If this really is "The best hotel in Dundee", the bar is very low. We won't be visiting any other hotels in Dundee if this is the benchmark.

The hotel room was clean and well appointed, with comfortable beds and all expected amenities. There did not seem to be a lift and so be prepared to carry cases if given a room on the first floor, also to carry these for some distance as the corridors are long. Staff were polite and helpful, particularly those who served breakfast. The deal was of a very good price but we felt this may have impacted on the portion size and food quality of the evening meal so we ate elsewhere on the second evening having initially planned to eat in the hotel on both evenings. The location of the hotel makes it very easy to find.

Really enjoyed our stay. I had family visiting from Wales and went to this hotel for a few days break we all had an enjoyable time, the food was really nice the staff both from reception and the restaurant were lovely friendly and helpfull. I would certainly visit here again. Charlotte

Check in was poor she didn't know what she was doing and she clnt get bill correct and made it ouit only 1 room was booked. There was no welcome on arrival and personally feel she sld not have been on front desk. Very poor first impression.

Everything was good, except for classic britain failing to book a family room and as such on arrival had to wait for a fold up bed to be supplied instead of the divan sofa as stated. But good hotel and staff

hotel staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. We had our 11 month old daughter / grandaughter with us and they made such a fuss of her. We will certainly make a point of returning!

6 adults stayed Sat and Sun nights for dinner bed and breakfast. bedrooms were well appointed and comfortable. due to the hotel being very busy on Sat night they could not offer us a table in dining room till very late so we chose to dine in bar area but there was some confusion with the menus and we were overcharged when we came to check out but everything was eventually cleared up satisfactorily. all staff were very friendly

Anticipating exceptional food from a AA Rosette Restauranrt we were extrememly disappointed when both of us had to send back desserts even although we had ordered different items. This was not what we would expect from this calibre of restaurant.

Just returned from a very enjoyable stay at the Landmark Hotel. Our Club Room was very nicely decorated in a contemporary style with a large modern bathroom which had a bath and a separate shower cubicle. We made use of the pool in the leisure centre and this was ideal after a day out. The staff were attentive and friendly. The food at breakfast and dinner was of a good standard. In particular, the evening meals were very well presented. The hotel was very easy to find and only a couple of miles drive outside the centre of Dundee. We found it an ideal base to explore the area and were able to easily visit Glamis Castle and St Andrew's without having to travel more than half an hour.
