Unfortunately had to report items of clothing had been left by previous occupant on the floor of wardrobe. A disappointing end to an otherwise most enjoyable stay.

We considered the 2 night Hogmanay break to be a good VFM experience. The staff were really good (not quite so the entertainment reception staff though, which I have fed back direct to the hotel)and the singer who performed throughout the second night buffet meal was excellent - an ideal accompaniment to the dinner. The Segway experience was a real hoot, especially on New Year's Day!!

Beautiful hotel, excellent check in from Bruno. Paid extra for feature room and really were delighted with the accommodation. Blairs Restaurant is a delight, food of a very high standard both for dinner and breakfast. My husband had the Eggs Royale for breakfast and said they were cooked to perfection. Although the supplements that are added to some of the courses at dinner may seem expensive they are well worth it. Staff very helpful and friendly.

The hotel itself had a lot of character. The grounds were well maintained and full of wildlife. We met some lovely people when we wined and dined in the bespoke restaurant. Staff were friendly and entertaining. They aimed to please. The chef deserves recognition for his creativity. Food was delicious and well presented. Spa facilities were adequate. The steam room lived up to its name. Our room was spacious but it could do with an update. Other than that we had a lovely romantic, anniversary break. Tracy and David South Tyneside

Spacious rooms, superb food and excellent staff all very courteous and friendly. Enjoyed our stay but would advise to check if there is a wedding on as we had a very noisy and disruptive night from 2am until 6am on the Sunday night of our stay.

Staff in all areas where very helpful and friendly.food and service very good. negative points when asked staff if they could light the fires as it was chilly that day they returned to say manager would not allow,log fires would have added great first impression for visitors.

The staff were very attentive and the food was excellent. The pool facilities were clean and tidy and the pool was a good size. Unfortunately the bedrooms let the hotel down. On our first night although the bathroom and room had been updated and was a good size the bed base was torn around the valence and the mattress went down in the middle which meant my husband had a disturbed sleep. A generator outside our window was also running until 1.30 am due to a function which also disturbed us. After informing Reception about our disturbed sleep they were very apologetic and prompt in moving us for our 2nd night. Our new room had a new bed and there was no generator running the 2nd night so we had a great sleep. All in all we would highly rate this hotel and when the bedrooms are updated (which I believe is to happen very shortly) this will be an excellent hotel.

We booked the Ardoe House Hotel via your website for our anniversary. Your website was the best value deal for this hotel. We were delighted to be upgraded to a feature privilege room upon arrival which absolutely made our day. The staff were very attentive and superb service. We ate in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. The food was amazing with unbelievable choice for breakfast. We will definitely book this hotel again.
