I enjoyed my stay at Scotlands Resort! The lady at the front desk (I wish I had her name to give you) was nice and friendly and helpful. The hostess/waitress was also kind; I asked her to explain a couple of things on the menu that I had never had and she did. The food and the service were wonderful. And i surely enoyed being the Pitlochry--what a wonderful place!

Stayed at the hotel for two nights on my own. Really enjoyed my stay but would have preferred to be asked where I wanted to sit in the restaurant for dinner rather than the assumption being made that because I was on my own, I would want to sit in a corner/at the back of the restuarant, away from everyone else.

Enjoyable three night stay. Staff were friendly and helpful .Meals were excellent. We intend to go back to Scotland's Hotel in October ,as it is ideally situated for a visit to the enchanted forest.

My partner and I arrived and initially were offered a very small room that overlooked a series of roofs which were littered with cigarette ands and rubbish. This was unacceptable and we said so. We were then offered another room in the Bankhouse which was better but looked on to an overgrown garden.The whole building in my opinion needed considerable refurbishment.Against this our stay was made far more acceptable by the manner and attention of the staff throughout our stay. The food also was of a very high standard. We did not use the leisure facilities. A concern of mine is that through Classic Britain I believe we should get the best room available and as a result I wonder what other rooms were like!

it would be helpful if on entering the vestibule in the annex there were directions toward the rooms There was nothing to indicate that our room was on the first floor which ended with us all round the house pulling our cases up and down stairs - not a good start- however we did enjoy our stay and would return

Food not exciting - long wait to be seated in Dining Room despite having booked for 7.30 pm Next night tried Bar Meals - even longer wait. Staff not to blame, most apologetic - perhaps not enough of them?

The staff were very nice and efficient and the food was of a high standard. my partner booked some spa treatments and was very impressed. On the down side, the hotel is very tired and really needs updated.

Excellent value from this hotel. Leisure area good. Food excellent and freshly cooked breakfast not a buffet in sight!!! Staff excellent too. All in all a great break. Highly recommend a visit to the festival theatre and the nearby House of Bruar. One comment I would make is some of the corridors etc a bit tired and in need of some decoration.

Overall food quality was good but on the first day of 3, the cooked breakfast was cold on a hot plate. Staff in the restaurant seemed disorganised and could not cope with the amount of people, some people were asked to sit in the lounge while tables were reset for them.

My wife and I very much enjoyed our stay overall. The staff in the restaurant were very good, however one of the members on reception on our arrival was slightly abrupt. Also the member of staff in the Leisure facilties was bordering on rude. The standard of food in the evening was very good, however the breakfast could have had a better cold choice.

Our experience at this hotel was a bit mixed and our conclusion was that they could do better. On the positive side, it was clean, the beds were comfortable and the staff were generally friendly and helpful. However, we were disappointed with the food. We had dinner on our first night and were not impressed. The menu looked good but the actual food failed to live up to its promise. Our food was served on cold plates and was mostly warm rather than hot. The Thai style fishcakes had quite a good flavour but they were rubbery and lukewarm, as if they had been kept warm for a while. We could not figure out how the duck breast with berry sauce seemed to be reasonably well cooked but was totally tasteless. We thought crumble with ice cream would be a safe bet but the crumble was gooey - not crumbly - as if it had been heated up in the microwave. The worst however, was the risotto, which was served in soup plates and was so liquid that it had to be eaten with a soup spoon. Maybe we were unlucky and got them on a bad night but we did not risk eating in the hotel restaurant the next night - we found a wonderful restaurant a few hundred yards away which could give Scotland's a few lessons. In contrast, breakfast was very good. Full marks for providing really fresh fruit salad and there was a good selection of hot and cold options. A few more non-meat items (eg mushrooms, beans etc)for the cooked breakfast selection would have been welcomed but what we got was good and suggests that somebody in the kitchen can cook good food. The hotel has had a number of extensions over the years and the rooms vary in size and aspect. All were clean and fairly comfortable. One of the rooms allocated to our party was a lovely big room with several windows and great views. However, one of our party was allocated a room which had a tiny bathroom (the basin was just big enough to dip your hands in) and looked out over the kitchen entrance.
