The Kenmore Hotel in Kenmore by Aberfeldy, lies on the banks of the River Tay. This uniquely styled countryside hotel is famous for its warmth, charm and Highland hospitality. The Kenmore Hotel is Scotland's oldest inn and was established on the 3rd of November 1572. The conservation village of Kenmore was built around the hotel from 1760. Views from and around this hotel with character in Perthshire are spellbinding. On one side there is the River Tay and on the other a panoramic view across Loch Tay and the mountains beyond.

After spending a wonderful day exploring this stunningly beautiful part of Scotland, it is time to make your way to one of the Kenmore hotels 40 individually furnished bedrooms. The moment you slip between the cotton sheets and your head sinks into the pillow, we guarantee you will be engulfed by a deep and refreshing sleep. Surrounding the Hotel you’ll find an exclusive collection of 10 stunning one to four bedroom self-catering lodges. These fabulous lodges afford unrivalled, panoramic views over the Tay, enveloped by majestic hills and mountains.

At the Grill Room Restaurant you'll enjoy the very best in Scottish cuisine in peaceful, sun-lit surroundings. The Boar’s Head bar offers informal dining with an outdoor patio offering great views of the Tay, and is the perfect spot to while away those long summer evenings. The Poets Bar in the Kenmore Hotel is named as such because in 1789 the famous Scots poet Robert Burns graced this bar with his presence. He was so struck by this area, that he composed a poem sitting on the bridge over the Tay. He wrote the poem in pencil on the chimney breast of the fireplace in the Poet's bar. The poem is still there to this day.

Behind the traditional façade of the Kenmore Hotel you’ll find 40 charming and individually furnished bedrooms that simply invite you to relax and unwind, with warm furnishings and luxurious linens.

And there’s no surprise that you’ll find every modern convenience in these comfortable, yet elegant rooms – from our oh so comfy beds and lovely bathrooms with luxury toiletries to wi-fi internet access.

There are another thirteen bedrooms available in the lodge, which is situated across the square, adjoining the Castle gates. The lodge is approx 30 metres from the main part of the Kenmore hotel.

The Kenmore Hotel also has 2 executive suites. The most popular suite is the Veranda Room. The Veranda room offers guests a large veranda that overlooks the River Tay and a luxurious bathroom with a Jacuzzi.

Please note that double rooms are limited at the Kenmore hotel.

SADDLE
A Visit Scotland 5-star standard lodge, The Saddle is part of a traditional stone-built terrace offering luxury accommodation set over two floors.
This fabulous lodge features a spacious lounge including stone fire-place with wood-burning stove & French doors secluded rear garden with hot tub. Fully equipped modern kitchen with breakfast bar and downstairs shower room. Staircase in lounge leading up to a luxury kingsize bedroom with flatscreen TV and ensuite featuring separate shower & roll top bath.

MOLLY’S COTTAGE
A Visit Scotland 5-star standard lodge, Molly’s Cottage is part of a small traditional stone-built terrace with accommodation set over two floors.
This luxury lodge features two spacious double rooms with flat screen televisions on the first floor (for added flexibility both can be configured as twins). The luxury family bathroom on this floor includes a separate shower and fabulously indulgent roll top bath.
On the ground floor there is a spacious opening plan lounge/dining area with flat screen TV/DVD, stone fireplace with wood-burning stove. There is a separate fully equipped modern kitchen and, for added convenience there is a cloakroom toilet downstairs. French doors from the living / dining area lead on to a large secluded rear garden with its own hot tub.
Additional facilities include tea/coffee making facilities; iron/ironing board; fresh towels & luxury toiletries; private parking.

THE BRAE
A Visit Scotland 5-star standard lodge, The Brae is part of a small traditional stone-built terrace with accommodation set over two floors.
This luxury lodge includes a fabulous a master bedroom with ensuite shower room on the ground floor & two further double rooms upstairs (both can be configured as twins). The family bathroom upstairs includes a separate shower and roll top bath.
The ground floor of the lodge features is open plan with fully-equipped modern kitchen, spacious lounge/dining area with flat screen TV/DVD, stone fireplace/wood-burning stove & French doors leading on to a large secluded rear garden with hot tub. The Lodge also has a cosy ‘snug’ room - a perfect den for the children or teenagers
Additional facilities include flatscreen televisions in each bedroom, fresh towels & luxury toiletries, and private parking.

BEN LOMOND
Ben Lomond is part of a small terrace, beautifully appointed to Visit Scotland 5-star standards, offering stunning views and only a stone’s throw from the beach,
Set over two floors Ben Lomond features two luxurious ensuite double bedrooms (one can be configured as a twin offering additional flexibility) with flat screen TVs. There is a stylish and spacious living/dining area with flat screen TV/DVD, marble hearth & log burner & separate fully equipped modern kitchen with granite worktops & breakfast bar on the ground floor.
Ben Lomond benefits from a large private West-facing garden with fabulous views of the Loch & Ben Lawers. Additional facilities include fresh towels & luxury toiletries, private parking outside lodge or in the carpark opposite.

BEN HOPE
A Visit Scotland 5-star standard lodge, Ben Hope is part of a small terrace and offers luxurious accommodation over two floors.
On the ground floor there is a stylish & spacious living/dining area with flat screen TV/DVD, marble hearth & log burner & separate fully equipped modern kitchen with granite worktops & breakfast bar.
The Lodge has three luxury bedrooms (one double, one twin and a single bedroom) with flat screen TVs, family bathroom with roll top bath & a cloakroom toilet downstairs. Ben Hope also from a private west-facing garden with amazing views of the Loch & Ben Lawers.

BEN MORE
A Visit Scotland 5-star standard lodge Ben More is only a stone's throw from the beach, and overlooks the Kenmore Bridge and the Tay.
Part of a small terrace this beautiful lodge house features two luxurious ensuite double bedrooms with flat screen TVs.
On the ground floor there is a stylish and spacious living/dining area with flat screen TV/DVD, marble fireplace & log burner & separate fully equipped modern kitchen with granite worktops & breakfast bar on the ground floor.
Ben More also features a large private West-facing garden affording unrivalled views of the Loch & Ben Lawers.

BOAT HOUSE
A stunning detached lodge set on the riverbank which has been refurbished and beautifully appointed to Visit Scotland 5-star standards.
A traditional stone built lodge, the Boat House affords unrivalled views over the famous Kenmore Bridge and has three luxurious ensuite double bedrooms with flat screen TVs (for added flexibility one can be configured as a twin) located on the first floor.
On the ground floor the Boat House features a beautifully stylish & spacious living/dining area with large 3-seater sofa, bed settee (sleeps two), large dining table, flat screen TV/DVD, stone fireplace & log burner. There is also a fully equipped modern kitchen with granite worktops & a downstairs shower room. Additional facilities include towels & luxury toiletries, iron/ironing board; private parking.

STOB BAN
Visit Scotland 5-star standard lodge, Stob Ban is a fabulous stone built detached house with accommodation set over two floors. This luxury lodge is perfect for larger parties of up to eight guests, offering both designer living spaces and spectacular views across the Tay.
On the first floor there are two spacious bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms (each with separate shower and bath), a further double bedroom and a family bathroom. For added flexibility, two of these bed rooms can be configured as twins. The fourth bedroom is located on the ground floor and benefits from an ensuite shower room and there is a further downstairs shower room.
There is a spacious and stylish open plan living / dining area on the ground floor with flat screen TV / DVD, large dining table, wooden fireplace with log burner, as well as a stylish modern, fully equipped kitchen. Stob Ban also benefits from a private south-facing deck with fabulous views over the Loch.
Additional facilities include a TV in each bedroom; iron/ironing board; fresh towels & luxury toiletries. Parking available outside Lodge or in Village Square.

BEN VORLICH
Ben Vorlich is a fabulous three-bedroom lodge that has been appointed to Visit Scotland 5-star standards and affords beautiful views over the Tay.
With accommodation set over two floors there are two luxury double bedrooms each with ensuite on the first floor & a further double bedroom & shower room on the ground floor.
Ben Vorlich features a spacious living /dining area on the ground floor with exposed stone wall, flat screen TV / DVD, large dining table and adjoining fully equipped, modern kitchen with granite worktops. Doors from the livingroom lead to the garden with views over the Loch & Drummond Hills.
Facilities also includes flat screen TV in bedrooms; towels & luxury toiletries; parking.

CAIRN TOUL
Cairn Toul is a fabulous three-bedroom lodge that has been appointed to Visit Scotland 5-star standards and affords beautiful views over the Tay.
With accommodation set over two floors there are two luxury double bedrooms each with ensuite on the first floor & a further double bedroom & shower room on the ground floor.
Ben Vorlich features a spacious living /dining area on the ground floor with exposed stone wall, flat screen TV / DVD, large dining table and adjoining fully equipped, modern kitchen with granite worktops. Doors from the livingroom lead to the garden which wraps around he front & side of the lodge and features a hot tub and views over the Loch & Drummond Hills.

Dine in the contemporary surroundings of the Grill Room restaurant and enjoy high quality locally-sourced produce, infused with ingenious touches, offering delicious dishes with unexpected flair.

The team of chef's are always busy experimenting with lots of different dishes to deliver an amazing menu, packed with the freshest meat and fish and seasonal ingredients; plus some really unusual flavour combinations which are just fantastic

The kitchen features an Inka Grill, a charcoal oven and grill of Spanish origin, guaranteeing that whatever your choice of meat, fish and vegetables, they will be grilled swiftly and perfectly – creating unrivalled flavours! The outstanding menu is matched by an extensive drinks list, featuring wines, champagnes, ports and cognacs to suit any occasion.

From Glasgow and the South: take the motorway to Stirling (M80), onwards to Perth (45 min), A9 to Ballinluig, then A827 to Aberfeldy and Kenmore.

From Edinburgh take the M90 to Perth, then follow as above from A9

From Oban and Fort William : take the A85/A82 from Fort William, to Crianlarich, then A85 to Killin, then the A827 to Kenmore

From Inverness (90 min): A9 until Ballinluig then A827 Aberfeldy & Kenmore

When staying in the hotel unless otherwise stated a £25pppn allowance towards food applies to all bookings on a dinner inclusive rate. Should you choose to spend anything over this amount it will be just transferred onto your bill if you have agreed at the time of check in for charges to go to your room, alternatively you can pay the difference in the Restaurant. Should you decide not to dine or if you do not spend the full allocation, there will no refund Pets Allowed by prior arrangement in the hotel only- £10.00 per pet per night. Room will be allocated in the annex across from the main hotel. Superior Rooms and Lodges are not available for Pets. Please note when adding children onto reservations at this hotel the rate quoted will not include children. Children's rates will be added on at the hotel prior to departure. Please keep this in mind when settling your bill

As well as traditional pursuits such as horse trekking, cycling, walking, Highland Adventure Safari, falconry and country and field sports, Perthshire is one of Europe’s finest adventure playgrounds boasting an unrivalled range of outdoor experiences including river canyoning, white water rafting, clay shooting, zorbing & sphering, microlight flights and cliff jumping!

For an adrenalin filled day, full and half day activities, from off-road driving to white water rafting, quad bikes and flying lessons, can be booked through the Perthshire Adventure.

The Kenmore is situated at the mouth of the River Tay, boasting 1½ miles of challenging salmon fishing for both novice and professional anglers alike on the famous Upper Tay - and is available at a very reasonable rate to non-residents throughout the season. The team at Kenmore is also happy to organise tackle and wader hire, and tuition is available for novices and experienced anglers looking to sort those wee blips, for individuals and groups.
