Rude staff, restaurant staff didn’t have a clue and were less than helpful and very unfriendly, over priced menu poor choice of food and drinks, Taps not working for beer or soft drinks. Had to buy bottle which was dearer and not what we wanted. Rooms needed updating bathroom mouldy rooms drafty due to old windows and could hear everything from outside. Breakfast help Yourself menu poor choice and croissants etc brick hard. Leisure facilities not working sauna and also not open for very long .. hardly anytime to use when checking in and out Won’t be back .. less than enjoyable stay sadly!

Rooms were spacious and clean and beautifully decorated. We used the spa which was also lovely and very clean and we really enjoyed it. We booked a DBB package and the food in the restaurant was fantastic, but the service was absolutely awful. It took hours for us to have dinner on the first night, we had to ask repeatedly to order our drinks, the girls serving us didn’t seem to know anything and kept wandering off when we tried to order food saying they weren’t sure about the menus. We ordered starters and only my husbands arrived as she hadn’t put my order in for some reason. We ordered sides with our mains which never arrived and apparently hadn’t been put through either. We ordered a second round of drinks which we had to ask three different people for before we received them. I ordered a hot drink with my dessert which arrived later at the same time as the bill. In the morning we arrived for breakfast and waited at the front desk for 15 minutes until a staff member wandered by and stated that she would “drag them out the office” where it turned out all the waitressing staff were sitting chatting while the restaurant was completely unmanned. We eventually ordered breakfast which somehow arrived wrong with items missing (and we were the only people in the restaurant at the time so they couldn’t have even mixed us up with someone else). 10/10 for everything else, 0/10 for service.

Hotel and room were lovely, stunning view from room over the river. The pool and leisure area were also really nice. Unfortunately the only thing letting this hotel down was the food. Great portion size and looked very good but it all just tasted very bland.

Was booked for my daughters anniversary they both had a great 3 night break ...hotel is just brilliant ?...I've stayed twice here myself... brilliant staff ...food exceptional.chef wrote happy anniversary with chocolate sauce on our dessert......the grounds are beautiful in summer and winter ... definitely recommend to anyone

Hotel ,leisure suite, surroundings and Mill are just fabulous but the food was very disappointing on Saturday evening with poor service especially on Sunday morning breakfast time.Sunday evening and Monday breakfast was better so not sure if just a glip.Food on the Saturday stay was over done and breakfast took over an hour and was cold when served.Sunday meal was much better and breakfast better service.For a 4 star hotel food and service needs to be reassessed.Staff were lovely but need more training.I would come back despite this as the hotel ,area and leisure suite were fantastic.

My first visit to the hotel and most definitely won't be my last. Staff very professional and welcoming. High standard of cleanliness and decor. Bedroom was first class with an amazing view of the Falls of Clyde. Food both at dinner and breakfast wonderful. The leisure facilities brilliant. I cannot find anything negative to say about my stay.

Had a lovely stay at New Lanark Mill Hotel. Beautiful surroundings. Our accommodation was ideal. Good sized room, clean and fresh decor. Bathroom was bright great to have a bath and shower over it. Restaurant was accessible from lift. Nicely laid out with character features. Food was good and tasty. We used the leisure centre, has pool, sauna, jacuzzi and gym. Throughout our stay in all departments must say the staff were all welcoming, friendly, helpful and competent at their jobs. Helped to make our stay an excellent one. We hope to return another time. Would be happy to reccomended to anyone.

Great break away - rooms are huge. Very clean, food great and well stocked bar. Swimming pool was great for the kids. The Lanark Mill museum was very interesting and educational for everyone. Definitely recommend a visit and stay

The hotel is set in lovely surroundings, and we enjoyed visiting the Museum with 15% off entry. The hotel’s reception area, bar, restaurant and spa are all well maintained and pleasant to spend time in. The rooms however could benefit from some maintenance. Despite this they are very roomy with comfortable beds and pillows. The evening meal was nice however breakfast a bit disappointing. We had treatment which were amazing so would definitely recommend visiting the spa. All in all a great stay at a fabulous price for DBB. Would visit again.

Hotel lovely Dinner was good, little bit cold and vegetables a bit hard Waited over 30 minutes for cooked breakfast for 2 people, table next to us 4 people got theirs before us even after they had arrived after us Room good size, outside of windows covered in spiders webs!! Could see a lot of spiders in the window!!
