Beautiful hotel and surroundings. Staff were all very helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Whole hotel was spotless and the decor was amazing. Breakfast was a buffet but you could order your eggs and vegetarian options and these were made fresh for you. Dinner was lovely with a varied selection for all courses, service was a bit on the slow side but since we weren't in a rush it didn't bother us too much . Bar prices were very reasonable with a great selection, especially the gin! The hotel and rooms were very warm, so no need for that extra cardigan in your case. All in all a really nice two night stay, thank you Derwent Manor.

What a great deal! We so enjoyed our stay. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Room was large and beautifully decorated. Food was of a high standard and very well presented too. Only gripe , and it’s a small one was that food service was slow on the second evening. This was because the hotel was busier the second evening I think. However the waiting staff tried very hard to make things run smoothly and should be applauded for their efforts. Thankyou to all.

Very enjoyable stay again . We have been 12 times now for 2nights breaks, and the service and food in the restaurant has always been excellent . The staff are always pleasent and very helpfull. We have already booked for the new year package deal as we had such a good time last year .

Booked the Hotel last minute, as we wanted to break up journey from Scotland. From the minute we walked into hotel, we knew we had made a good choice. Room was excellent, twin double beds, wall mounted 50" TV, lovely bathroom. Food both nights was excellent, breakfast both mornings was very good. Only complaint was that on returning to hotel on the second day we discovered that the TV reception was terrible. Receptionist suggested that we try to retune the TV as there were no maintenance staff available, to investigate the problem. After dinner it had still not improved. At 22.00 hrs, we were offered the chance to change room, but as we were leaving the next morning we declined. Even with this problem we will return to this hotel later in the year.

Amazing hotel, bedroom was beautiful, bathroom lovely as well, they have really excelled themselves with the refurbishment, proper coffee machine in bedroom, lovely furnishings too, food lovely and breakfast was yummy! Staff very friendly and polite and we was made to feel very welcome, the only issue i had was in the bedroom when i took my shoes off i ended up standing on a sharp metal spike that was buried in the carpet, it punctured my foot, had to fill an accident form in, no one knew what the thing was and receptionist said she would inform the manager, yet i heard nothing and on checkout i asked and the new receptionist didnt know anything about it, it was very painful and hurt for days after, i cant understand how housekeeping didnt feel it when they hoovered as it probably would of hit the hoover? but apart from that i would definitely stay again, best hotel we have stayed in for a long time, other hoteliers need to follow your suit!

What can i say..... we certainly didnt expect this quality of hotel, rooms, food, leisure facilities and sfaff. All were outstanding. If i could give more than 10 out of 10 i would. Thank you so much fof making our stay an unforgettable one. I hope the offer comes up again. Very well done ??

We had an amazing 2 night stay. The grounds are beautiful. Rooms immaculate modern & comfortable. What really made our stay was the staff, they were so friendly, made us feel welcome as soon as we walked in. We had our 4 year old daughter with us & she loved it & all the staff were great with her especially Megan on reception & Devon & Sophie in the restaurant. Everyone was lovely. Food was also amazing, plenty choice. Couldn't fault anything. We will definatley be back.

Lovely Hotel with newly refurbished rooms. Excellent food cannot be faulted. Saturday night was especially busy as was Sunday morning for breakfast when we were asked to use a room nearby in which to eat. Staf very friendly and attentive and seemed to cope well under pressure. They are a credit to the company. Would recommend to anyone!

We had the sort of very warm welcome that we have come to expect from Derwent Manor. Our room was as requested and help in dealing with the dreaded coffee machine was readily given. The room was comfortable and very clean and well furnished apart from a slight lack of drawer space. The meals were, as always, utterly superb. The catering team certainly know their job and they were well supported by the serving staff. This visit certainly deserved the large tip that was left. This is a hotel not to be missed.
