Had a lovely stay and would go back. Although the room we were in didn't look to be refurbished yet, it was great. Can't wait to return and see the hotel when it's finished. Well done to all the staff and work men who were very discrete when working.

The recent refurbishment has made this hotel very presentable. The staff were ALL first class, both friendly and professional. The evening meal and breakfast were excellent and well presented. A definate thumbs up from us! ?

We had a great 2-night stay at the Derwent Manor Hotel with my wife and two children (aged 6 and 5). The room was clean and tidy with everything we needed, though it was one of the older rooms that was about to be refurbished. The staff at the hotel were lovely and welcoming, and in the restaurant were also friendly and helpful. We had a Dinner Bed & Breakfast deal on 2 nights for the price of 1, which was outstanding value for what we got. The food was very tasty, with good choices from the Table de Haute menu and the kids' menu. The setting of the hotel is lovely, and it was easy to find. We had two trips to the swimming pool too with the kids - they loved it. A great place to get away for a couple of days.

What a fantastic hotel, Great Food, Lovely Room, Staff were all very helpful, A special word for Michelle=She was hilarious. Very Very good value for money. We will pass this all on to our Family and Friends. At 99.50 for 2 nights DBB then the third night Bed and Breakfast was a great find, As I said earlier the food was that good we ate in the hotel on our third night also.

We stayed for 2 nights had a great time staff were excellent. Our room was a bit dated but huge and clean,2 double beds. Had dinner both nights food very good especially the Seabass. Only downside breakfast second morning coffee was cold Second pot was fine. 3 of our party ordered 2 boiled eggs with toast fingers as per menu, only got 1 each waitress quickly ordered more but when they came they were under cooked.

Had a lovely two night stay . The restaurant food is very good , and the staff are all very helpful and gave very good service. Breakfast was the same full English breakfast was cooked fresh as you ordered it makes a change as most hotels nowadays just have a buffet service.

A great hotel in a great location. We had a lovely big room with a view over the countryside and it was very comfortable. The food in the restaurant was excellent with the staff being very friendly and efficient. The hotel is currently undergoing some refurbishment which can only make the experience even better

We stayed here for our wedding anniversary and we were not impressed. We were given the wrong directions initially to our room and had to return to the reception, when we finally found the room we had been given the wrong key and had to go back to the reception again.We had a meal in the on site pub for lunch which was lovley and and an evening meal in the restaurant which was also nice. The following day we decided to go for a walk and when we returned to our room we couldn't hear the tv above the sound of drilling and decided to go back out. Upon returning we went to reception to ask if the Wifi was backnup and running and if the drilling had stopped. The receptionist assured us that it was quite quiet, but upon returning they were now banging instead of drilling thankfully this didn't go on for too long. I would like to say it was a relaxing break but it wasn't.

We were put in a cottage room being used as a double but was really only big enough to be a single. Just enough room to walk around the bed. Bathroom very small with a corner shower cubicle sink and toilet. Could hear noise from adjoining rooms. Food was very good.

Stayed at this hotel for four nights on a bed & breakfast tariff. Lovely hotel set in lovely countryside, nice cottages, ok pub grub. Visited Beamish, Kielder Water, Metro Centre & Roman ruins and will definitely visit again in the future. My husband says please fill the pot holes in on the entrance road leading to the Hotel.
