Beautiful hotel set in lovely surroundings with a fabulous view. We made full use of the leisure facil to relax before getting ready for dinner. Fantastic service by both reception and bar/waitress staff, very friendly and down to earth. Our room was lovely, clean and spacious. Food during dinner and also at breakfast was fab and weren't made to wait very long after ordering. We stayed as a treat for our 4th wedding anniversary and was the perfect way to relax. We would definitely stay again.

A good deal all round, rooms very nice, have been revamped to a good standard,i enjoyed the breakfast and dinner , staff were faultless in there service. we enjoyed our stay at this wonderful hotel 10 out of 10, the pool was clean and hot.

The room was booked and paid for as a birthday present for my son, who having been there a day said the hotel was absolutely lovely. When further asked if he enjoyed the Bubbly paid for and what should have been in his room on arrival ... he asked ... what bubbly?? I contacted the hotel not too happy with this news and I felt the questions asked from reception was really quizzing my honesty when they said there was no reason why Housekeeping hadn't put it in .... after a few minutes of deliberation they then phoned my son in his room to further ask if had got the bubbly ... again questioning our honesty .... he eventually got it on his 2nd day there ( his last one ) with his meal . This bubbly could well have remained not having been had and the mistake only noted on his return home. No apology was offered from the hotel bar a courtesy " sorry"... very disappointing customer service .... shame.

Had a lovely overnight stay. The meal in the evening was very good only downside was the restaurant is not open so had to sit in bar to eat. I am disabled and the the staff were very helpfull ,especially the housekeeper who insisted on helping me while I was waiting for my husband packing the car . We have stayed a few times in the hotel and have always enjoyed our stay and the staff have always been very pleasent and helpfull.

Beautiful looking hotel from the outside. Nice friendly greeting upon arrival. Room was very clean and pleasantly decorated with a 50" flat screen TV! All staff we met were very pleasant and friendly. Food was fantastic. There was a wedding on the weekend we stayed but we never heard any noise from it or any other guests. We were also lucky to be there when the hotel had entertainment on which was an added bonus! Would definitely stay here again!

Enjoyed our stay at Hotel. We were given a newly refurbished room which was lovely. Staf really nice, helpful and friendly and all seemed to enjoy working at the hotel. Restaurant was being refurbished so we ate in the Grand Hall which is normally used for weddings. Food was very good but menu choice did not vary and it was plain fair. Portions were huge though. We will definitely return to this hotel. It's very peaceful. You do need a car as quite remote but ideal location for Beamish, Hexham and surrounding areas. Outside the hotel there is a nice area to sit and relax with a drink. The owners are refurbishing the whole hotel at the moment so it will be very grand once complete.

Had a lovely stay which we extended to 2 nights andwere given a suite which was a lovely surprise. Everything was excellent apart from the dining room let it down. The food was extremely slow to come to us on all 3 courses on our first evening and breakfast the next morning was an absolute joke. No hot food everyone having to wait. Not enough staff. Staff that was there did there best but could not cope.

Fantastic hotel, upgraded room was lovely and big with very comfy bed. Staff very friendly and helpful. Service in dining room excellent as was the food. Lovely location, would recommend to friends and we will be back in future.

Booked a twin room but were given a double, and as the hotel was fully booked they had nothing to offer us. Not a good start, but Hannah on reception was lovely and very apologetic, and after speaking to the manager offered us a bottle of wine to go with our afternoon tea(which was very nice). Our evening meal was excellent and the service was very good. Breakfast was plentiful but could have been hotter, but all in all a nice break and we would return.

Thank you for a very pleasant stay. Your hotel took us by surprise in its size and quality. Our room was very comfortable with lovely views. Beng able to switch off the towel rail would presumably save you a few pounds and save the rooms becoming over-heated. Lovely menu - though a little variation more often would be appreciated. Evening meals were especially tasty. Need more consistency in quality and presentation though. We close the same menu option on two evenings - one was delicious but the second evening it was very disappointing. Breakfasts also suffered from lack of consistency in quality. Bacon and sausages were overcooked every day with it being inedible on the last day.
