Royal Highland Hotel, Inverness

Enjoyed our stay at this Hotel food and service was excellent and the staff very helpful and polite this was our first time in Inverness and came up with the Train And the Hotel was right next to the Rail Station which made it very easy to get to the Hotel. Only Disapointment was I booked a Double Superior Room and the the Room Was a Twin. Other than that we had a lovely time and the shops were easy to get to on the High Street and indoor shopping centre as the weather was not so good as you except at this time of year.

Hotel room ok needing lot of work done in this hotel.the room we were in 218 lot of dampness on bathroom ceiling. Bit of paintwork and update of furniture would not go a miss. Staff all very welcoming,but the resturant for meals not that great.need to be looked at food very poor.

Excellent sirtuation for visiting Inverness and offer was very good. However we found thr 'DIY' breakfast very tiresome and the 'hot' food was almost cold.

Had an excellent break. Large room which was warm & comfortable. Excellent meal on 1st night with free wine. Staff welcoming & friendly. Will return probably later in year.

A short last minute break and added extra night when booking in. All staff were polite and very helpful at all times. The room was a good size, and spotlessly clean throughout. Buffet breakfast very good with a wide selection of dishes. Excellent value for money. Dinner in the adjoining restaurant was ok. Waiter/waitress first class and attentive. Senior staff lacked the personal touch. They could learn something here from their table staff.

been here a few times and it is a great deal , would have preferred a room with a double bed but for 1 night it was not a great problem , lack of hot water in the morning was a bit dissapointing

Had a decent enough stay. Quite a lot of traffic noise which was to be expected but still managed a good sleep. Room was on small side but was warm, clean and had plenty extras, iron, safe etc. Breakfast was acceptable. Staff were very nice and lady on reception very quickly resolved a problem for me.

Hotel was very comfortable and room was large giving us plenty space to move around - bathroom and room facilities were excellent. Food was delicious and plentiful and staff throughout the establishment were courteous, helpful and very cheerful. Stay was most enjoyable and we shall return.

Staff were very friendly,helpful and eager to please. Bedroom decor was a little tired and lacking somewhat in storage space Couple of issues with food - my wife had to send a steak back as it was inedible (she wasn't the only one) and although the cooked selection at breakfast was great many things weren't very warm. We arrived by train and walked all of 50 yards to the hotel - great! The hotel is central for everything Inverness has to offer - shops, pubs and restaurants - all within walking distance. Notwithstanding some of the comments above, we would come back again

We found our room facing the back entrance of the bar next door where the buckets were located and had constant noise from vehicles dealing with the buckets and dropping food stock off. On the Sunday night the noise started at 5 am til 8am also the for was of very poor quality with the restaurant manager waiving the charge on one night. Very disappointed

We received our confirmation of a triple room with the upgrade we paid for to a superior room. On arrival we were given a room with 2 queen size (smaller than double.We were offered a cot bed which for pensioners I think is unreasonable. We were told they didn't have any 3 bedded rooms, so why take a booking for a triple room and charge us an extra
