A truly outstanding hotel with breathtaking views over the Clyde and surrounding areas. The staff are excellent and the food is excellent but its real jewel in its crown is the Imperial Spa, absolutely stunning.

Having previously had a fabulous experience of the spa in July, I booked dinner bed and breakfast here for my husband's 50th. The spa costs an additional £25 per person for hotel guests , you can then only book a 2 hour slot between 5pm and 9pm or 7am and 9 am. I was happy to pay the extra based on my previous visit. This visit was definitely not the same experience. The hydrotherapy pool was lukewarm and another guest likened it to sitting in a lukewarm bath, which I agree was an apt description. Another guest said that an engineer had been called. This was disappointing as I feel that the hydrotherapy pool is the biggest draw for the spa as it has amazing views over the Clyde.The spa was very busy with guests, we managed to obtain a lounger beside the pool however other guests were not so lucky, one couple were perched on a ledge beside the pool. On my previous visit, I loved the hot stone beds. This time it was difficult to make use of them as some people seemed to be using them as loungers, their towels left on them when not using them (althougderstandably due to the lack of loungers). When I did get the opportunity to try them out, they were cold. As another guest said, the overall temperature of the spa area could have done with being a few degrees warmer. I was left feeling quite embarrassed as I had really talked up the spa to my husband based on my previous experience. Dinner and breakfast was lovely. I had the smoked salmon starter which was delicious, it had a really nice dressing and my husband really enjoyed the pate starter. We visited the dram bar which is a nice bar and pleasant to sit in. We stayed in an executive super king bedroom. The room was okay. The bathroom was nice and modern. Following our stay I emailed the hotel to say how disappointed I was with my experience of the spa this time, for which I received an apology for. To be honest, I would have expected something like a complimentary voucher to use the spa again or have my £50 refunded. I replied to the email to say that I was disappointed by the response, to then receive a snippy email saying that the majority of the other guests realised that these things happen and were happy with an apology (or words to that effect) - yikes! If you do choose to spend the additional money to use the spa and everything is in working order and it is not busy then expect to have a wonderful experience. If it is busy then, I'm my opinion it is just not the same experience and I don't think is worth the extra £50 per couple. Unfortunately I won't be returning as my experience with customer service has left a bad taste in my mouth. My rating below for service is for the hotel and spa service and does not include the guest manager.

We had a great time. The hotel is immaculate as is the spa. Every little touch thought of. It was not too busy and maintained and everything topped up throughout the day. The view across the water is amazing. My only moan is I wanted to stay in the spa longer than 2 hrs. Singer at dinner was a lovely touch too.

Not impressed for money we paid room dated, menu limited breakfast poor service no glasses for fruit juice no plates for pastries . on menu said selection of continental meats and cheese still to find them cooked breakfast was cold although plate was hot . When I arrived was told that the only slot for spa which is £25pp on top of price paid was next morning 7 till 9 am waited half an hour still no receptionist tryed to find our own way to spa but failed lucky a guest helped us to spa Outside jacuzzi had broken tiles. Outdoor sauna broken . Salt room was full of cleaning product which I got covered in which cleaner forgot . When checking out receptionist told us that spa didn't open till 8am and yet had been told by 2 different members of staff at check-in it was 7am shambles is only way to describe hotel and spa

Waiting to hear back from hotel as we were given an accessible room for wheelchair use which caused us great difficulty showering as shower room was slippery trying to shower and flooded the bathroom. Reception were unhelpful. Otherwise the staff at both the restaurant and bars were great. Food was lovely. Fabulous grounds.

Was disappointed to see the pool and spa etc closed, wasn’t clear when booking, however the amazing food definitely made up for the lack of facilities, our breakfast and evening meals were superb, chef is amazing as were all the staff.

We stayed with you when you had a wedding on unfortunately you placed us in room 32 where you had wedding guests,so at 3am we where woken up when guests from the wedding decided to gather and socialise after the wedding not good for us I would have thought it would have been better to keep wedding guests separate from other guests, there was a green light on in the room I presume a fire escape light which was very annoying also. Buffet breakfast was not very warm and only scrambled egg available, apart from this we had a great time at your hotel.

Arrived around 14.30 at reception and told room was ready when we went up the lady was still cleaning so headed to restaurant bar and sat outside looking over the golf course and surrounding area all very well kept. Service good at bar. Night time we booked dinner and food was nice not cheap maybe wanted main meal to be a bit warmer. The breakfast I thought lets them down a bit and could be better just needs to go up another level. Spa area is very good and really busy. Our room was very good cracking big bed. I think the reception area and rooms & bar next too it are of a exception standard.

Stayed overnight at the Gleddoch Hotel and only wish had been longer. Fabulous accommodation and the staff are 5 star plus. Food excellent.

Lovely room, overall good experience. Points to improve - Spa needs staff to routinely check the area for tidiness - spa area could have done with routine mopping of excess water. No supervision of children in oool by parents but no one there to highlight to parents to do so. Pool area a bit dull and could do with improved decor. Food excellent but the evening dinner service was extremely poor but this was addressed by the maitre d on the night. Thank you.

The staff are lovely and very welcoming. The room was beautiful, and the views from the spa area were stunning. We ate at the Vista restaurant, the food was amazing as were the tails. Really enjoyed our stay, and will definitely be back.

Was pretty disappointed with the stay at the Gleddoch this time around as the hot tub and the sauna was out of use during out time there and this was a big part of the reason we had choose this hotel. No pre warning to booking or compensation offered. Would have rather have changed our stay to a date which all the facilities were in use.

Beautiful location and views .. room was lovely .. lot of stairs in the hotel .. indoor pool was fine quite large .. very busy as expected it's popular spa Dinner was superb .. service was 10/10 .. Breakfast was a let down .. good choice but was cold ... and the dining room was cold .. but overall nice place

Hotel is lovely. Food was amazing. In my opinion the spa facilities are a little bit on the small side for the amount of people that want to use it. Disappointed in the lack on information available in the room. Weren't informed we had to book meals. Weren't provided any information on facilities. Did receive plenty of apologies re this. There is limited information on the TV.
