We were a party of 10 former work colleagues having one of our regular catch ups. We throughly enjoyed our stay here. We were welcomed at reception & our rooms were pleasant & spacious. The bathrooms were clean but perhaps a bit dated. Walk in shower rooms would be useful. Some of us used the swimming pool & spa facilities which were very nice. The meal allowance was generous & we enjoyed our glasses of Prosecco. The food was excellent with a good variety. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast in the morning too. The hotel is well placed for touring Stirling & the surrounding areas. It was very easy to get to the hotel & there was adequate parking. Overall a very good value deal & we would return.

Parking was fine, you register your car at the front desk like normal. I had requested extras as it was a special occasion and these had been confirmed. Turned up to the room and only 1 out of 2 of the extras where there. Upon looking over the room it was clear to see that no care or consideration was taken in the room. The bathroom (pictures) was a disgrace, mould round the bath, paint peeling off due to the dampness and the fan did not work and there was mould round it. The bedroom was missing the top of the bedside table, the pillows were extremely firm but bed was clean! The view was "urban" and you could see right into the pool, or watch people take bins out. Regarding the windows, the curtains go along the whole wall, which is deceiving, only to open the curtains to a tiny window. There's only lamps, no proper lighting so forget trying to do your make up in the mirror. Did not have a meal at the restaurant, but did have drinks in the library which had a strange sad vibe, no music just tv. Had breakfast and the scrambled eggs could be used to plaster walls! Watched staff members blow on tables to clear crumbs where food was sitting out for people to grab. The staff was reasonable okay, reception where great and quick to resolve the issues I brought to their attention (extras) but I would not recommend staying here to anyone and do wish I had came back home.

Was a beautiful hotel, staff were lovely but asked to swap the wine in my room and was told no. They could have easily changed it as they had they kind I liked in the bar. It was a gift package to have the wine in the room so was a little disappointed. They didn't even try.

I booked this for my parents as part of a Christmas gift , Both of them really enjoyed on there stay, the staff was very friendly and the rooms were very clean and tidy, The choice you got a breakfast was amazing there was something for anyone, good quality produce - There one very small thing , it stated on the booking a glass of prosecco on arrival that never happened , but overall fantastic

Fantastic hotel right in the center of Stirling and the staff was great. It was a nice modern room with the usual things you get as standard. I paid extra to get presecco as a surprise for my wife and everything was waiting for our arrival.

Good location - Good breakfast & dinner was fine (not sure the Bouillabaisse is a Bouillabaisse though ...) - Good pool - Will no doubt stay again on future visits to Stirling :)

Good value for money, friendly staff, a great leasure/spa department,Apart from being on a hill it's a great location for all the shops, bars and restaurants, Stirling Castle and the jail are just a very short walk further up the hill (not suitable for people who have bad legs)

Had a lovely stay at the Stirling Highland Hotel. Staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Ate there on the first night which was very enjoyable. Also enjoyed the leisure facilities. Room was spacious and clean however bathroom in need of an upgrade as chip in the bath, a bit of dampness on the bath front and one of the floor tile’s cracked. Nice touch was the mini bottles of wine and water. Very central to the shops and tourist attractions (ie the castle and the old town jail) both worth a visit. Great place to do lots of walking. Would definitely go again.

The room was a great size. Bed and pillows were really comfy. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Great to have free parking. The only thing I could say was the radiator in the bathroom was full of dust hasn’t been cleaned in a while. The sink holes were rusted and quite grimly looking. Overall though a nice stay

Have stayed at this hotel a number of times and as every other time found staff welcoming, friendly and professional. All public area s were clean and presentable. Our twin room was clean and comfortable - the only thing that let it down was the Luke warm breakfast - the warm plate was hotter than the food! Apart from that - excellent stay!

Overall, our experience was very positive however, the evening meal was disappointing as the table was booked for 7:30pm we sat down to eat our main meal at 8:45pm. We felt that the meal itself was a letdown. The pork meal was very lacklustre and of poor quality.

We had a very enjoyable stay. The room was comfortable, breakfast was good and dinner on the first night was delicious. We didn't use the leisure facilities on this occasion, although we have in the past.

Check in and room reasonably good. Dog charge was very hefty at £25 a night, although slightly mitigated by bed and bowls being provided. Rooms servicing good. The main reason we chose the hotel was to enjoy the spa facilities, Unfortunately, the pool was closed, a bit of a let down. The main issue was the restaurant. Quality and choice of food was good at dinner. However, the service was not great, the waitress being rather off hand when it was pointed out that the wrong type of chips had been supplied with a meal which incurred a considerable supplement. Service was also slow at breakfast, with food items not being replenished for around 30 minutes after they had run out. Overall, an enjoyable time slightly marred by some niggles.

Unfortunately, this was a disappointing weekend break due to the following : 1. Hotel had no heating in bedrooms and public areas all weekend....technical problem. 2. No on Saturday, therefore couldn't shower 3. Swimming pool was out of order. This was one of the main reasons for booking this hotel. 4. Due to heating being off, ambience and temp in restaurant meant food was luke warm during dinner and breakfast. All in all a very unsatisfactory break. Hotel has offered us £50 compensation, however at time of typing, it's not yet been refunded. Staff very pleasant and helpful and room was comfortable but lacking heat
