the hotel was as we remembered from 15yrs ago and the food was delightful. the staff from maids to reception and restaurant were all very pleasant and helpful. we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return before 15yrs elapses again. sandra and richard fyfe.

My husband and I stayed at Highland Hotel Stirling Feb.2013 We had a lovely time, the hotel staff were very friendly and the food was excellent. We had a nice room with lovely views a late check out and bathrobes and slippers included in price. There is a nice bar and seating area and plenty of things to do round about the area. There is a good shopping centre and various restaurants and bars. We visited the castle which was very good. The hotel had lots of character as it was an old school. This hotel and the staff are without doubt one of the best we have ever stayed in and we could find no fault with it. We will definitely return in the near future and will recommend it to others.

Enjoyed 2 nights particularly the dinner and leisure facilities. Good location, room a little small and basic (remote control didn't work, limited TV channels, draughty and bathroom a bit tired).

we had a lovely stay at the Stirling Highland Hotel, beautiful setting and lovely courtyard. Friendly staff, food absolutely delicious,bedrooms comfortable. Only downside was being served unchilled white wine with our dinner, however the complaint was resolved in a professional and satisfactory manner.. would definitley recommend.

Enjoyed our stay. Staff were friendly. Stayed in premium room - rooms, especially bathroom could do with a refurbishment, but this did not spoil our stay. Food was lovely, plenty choice at breakfast. Couldn't fault the hotel at all.

This was our second visit to the Highland Hotel as we enjoyed the experience so much last time. We decided to go for Twixmas brealk ! The staff work hard and are so helpful. We took advantage of the very good leisure facilities this visit too. The value for money is excellent . The food exceptional! It is important to make your dinner reservation In advance otherwise you could be eating as late as 9.30! Would definitely recommend because of all the above mentioned comments but also because of its central location which makes visiting the castle, shops and bars so convenient!

Overall this was an excellent hotel. Efficient friendly staff. Good leisure facilities.Great location for Stirling Castle & only a few minutes to town centre. Would definitely recommend.

lovely hotel great location, but standards have slipped, cleanliness poor and reception staff poorly trained. stayed here before and we were surprised to find reduced cleanliness standards.dining room staff excellent and very helpfull.
