Lovely hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Food was a major let down though, my partner had to send his main course back 3 times, giving up after 3rd attempt still wasnt acceptable and so only had a dessert for dinner on this night. I would like to return to this hotel BUT unfortunately our stay will be tainted by extremely disappointing food received.

Although we didn't get a room upgrade, the room was clean albeit quite small - it would have been nice to have more room. The food was excellent except for the last night when both our steaks were not to our liking - we should have complained, but didn't want to annoy the chef, as we could hear him shouting in the kitchen from where we were sitting in the dining room. In fact, one of the other diners commented to a waiter that the chef sounded rather grumpy and that we could all hear him!! For the price we paid, we felt we had a nice break.

The room we were allocated was nice but we were above the kitchen and there was a constant noise which kept us awake. I was informed by reception it was the fans from the kitchen. You no longer get the little extras like water & biscuits but you could purchase a carmel wafer for

First time at Dunblane Hydro. Staff were very friendly and very accommodating. Nothing seemed any problem to them. Entrance lobby to bedroom, on first sight was bit untidy but bedroom was lovely, comfortable and cosy. We will definitely visit again.

The hotel has been refurbished to a high standard and bedrooms were confortable and well appointed although the bed seemed quite a small double. It was disappointing that the leisure club seemed dated and in need of upgrading and we did not really feel inclined to spend much time there. There was a distinct lack of loungers anyway. The spa treatments were excellent and good value with very pleasant therapists.

Hotel is very nice but the first room we were offered was very small, the staff changed this for us with no fuss. Dinner on the first night was excellent but there were some issues on the second night which left us quite dissapointed. Service was poor, didn't get offered another drink for 45 mins and when the food finally arrived it was cold, had been sitting on the side somewhere for a while before being served.

Enjoyed our couple of days at Dunblane Hydro. Only small issue was that included in our package should have been a bottle of Prosecco however on arrival we found a bottle of Red Wine instead. We duly asked around 4pm if we could have this exchanged - we were advised that this would not be a problem but the matter took two hours and three further calls to reception to rectify.Staff in the restaurant were very pleasant and helpful.

the only negative comment i could have with the hotel was that during my 2 night stay the wheelchair lift at the front entrance was out of order and the staff did not know when this would be fixed as it was the stairs at the front entrance are not too steep and there is a hand rail i managed on this occasion i would like to congratulate the hotel on having a disabled room that is truly set up for disabled guests , the food at the hotel was excelent but could do with some alternative menue items for guests who have a more traditional taste

Enjoyed our stay, all staff were friendly. Only small downside - we were not allocated a 'best available room' on check in. In addition to this, we had made a request for a room with a view to front of hotel, and although understand this cannot be guaranteed, we were actually allocated a room in centre of hotel which had a window with obscured glass, which brought on feeling of claustrophobia. Disappointing that no thought had been given when allocating our room and felt awkward having to ask if there was another room available with a window you could see out of. We were moved to another room which did have a window.

Upon arrival at the hotel and after reading that I would be assigned the best room available at the time of booking, I was assigned a room with stains on the carpet and bed linen. The furniture was chipped and dated. The room was very small. I was moved to a different room by attentive staff however the standard had not improved to anything what I would expect from a Hilton branded hotel. Better but not impressed. Firstly I was not assigned the best available first time around and secondly not a vast improvement on the first room. Once inside the room, I could have been staying at a travel-lodge for all I knew. Ice bucket was asked for from reception along with two champagne glasses, these took approximately an hour and a half to arrive and I had actually left for dinner by the time it all turned up. Dinner was excellent, the food is great and cannot be faltered. The swimming pool is in worse condition than your local council leisure centre and seriously needed a clean and a refurb, possibly best to knock it all down and start again. The beuty spa staff were excellent and the treatments I received were great although the correct treatment booking had not been received through the system. Also, in the bar area we spotted cob webs that must have been there for months. the cleaning of the hotel leaves a lot to be desired. We enjoyed our stay and made it a good weekend however, there is absolutely no way we would return to this hotel when you can stay at the Fairmont group or the old course for two nights for not much more. Overall i would rate it above a two star, three star with most areas and a couple of things reaching 4 star standard. Certainly nothing about the hotel is 5 star/ probably the fairest rating would be a 3.5 standard throughout which is striving to reach 4 stars although has already been granted them! Dissappointed with too much to return.

Unfortunately while we were staying the 2 nights the swimming pool was out of commission and the second day we were there the two lounges were also unavailable to hotel guests as they were being used for conferences. However the staff were extremely helpful and attentive.
