It was a pleasant experience. However, I was disappointed by a few things namely: 1. When I arrived at reception the information they had suggested I only had booked 1 room not 2. 2. After our evening meal they tried to charge me for it. It took ages for this to be sorted out. 3. On the morning of departure a bill had been put through the second room which was actually for my room. The second room was a gift from me for friends which I was trying to keep the cost secret but I had to explain everything to them.

no information on how to work heating, no price information on goods in fridge,no room service menu.asked for new mattress as every time you moved the springs were noisey they said they had no extra mattresses,we were offered change of room said no as we just had the one night left.room could do with a coat of gloss paint have stayed a few times before not impressed with room.

my friends and I had a fantastic long weekend in November.rooms spacious and clean.staff from reception to dining room and housestaff helpful and friendly.a young woman playing keyboard and singing on the Friday night in the dining room was absolutely fantastic.the spa and pool were also well kept. only downside the drinks a tad expensive

Hotel was very nice but VERY cold in lounge areas. Curtains could not be drawn to eleviate the draft coming through the windows.

A very pleasant stay with fabulous food in the Kailyard Restaurant by Nick Nairn. A good sized pool, sauna and steam room, although in a separate building a short walk from the hotel. All staff were very courteous and friendly.

Excellent room was not big but adequate and clean. Staff were exceptional and Made the stay even more special. Food was excellent and good portion size for my husband who has a hearty appetite. Certainly go back

Had a lovely stay in dunblane hydro, the food & service was great. The room was lightly disappointing, very warm the whole stay & there was dog food in the mii bar which gave the place a funny smell plus the bed was tiny for a double. Dinne & breakfast were both great. Only other thing is I feel the 4 o'clock check in & 11 o'clock check out we're a bit much considering what you pay for a nigh hit doesn't give u much time to enjoy it.

Nice hotel, corridors very narrow and being almost 8 months pregnant was quite challenging when faced with other guests. We were dinner, bed and breakfast and unfortunately we didn't check in until after 7 pm and were advised that the first table available for dinner was 9.30 pm so opted to have dinner in the bar instead. We were told this was included within the package but then on check out the bill for the meal had been added to our account - which was advised and then it was re-adjusted - communication would have been useful! We used the pool which was half swimmers and half kids so meant there was not much relaxing to be done which was a shame. The bed wasn't very comfortable and the pillows were like rocks - perhaps some thought should go into these for the future.

Staff were very friendly. Room was a little small for 2 adults and a baby but for all the time we were in it, it was ok. Pool staff were also very helpful.

This was our second stay here and our room was not as nice as last time. We had booked a double room but found it was two single beds pushed together (not a problem) with two sets of single bedding. There were also some items missing from the bathroom, including soap. However, after calling reception someone came to sort it all out. The restaurant is lovely, often with live entertainment at the weekends. The menu is quite biased towards fish and red meat, so there aren't many options for white meat eaters or vegetarians. What is there is very nice. The service is excellent both in the restaurant and bar - the staff are very attentive and keen to do what they can for you. The drinks in the bar are very expensive. It's a nice place to go for a relaxing break - it has a small swimming pool, bubble pool etc and spa treatments available (at extra cost) and to be looked after, but it is expensive.

Really enjoyed my stay with only two points to comment on, No socket next to tea making facility to plug in the kettle and drink prices were excessive

Was disgraced at level of incompetence of staff, service and food in restaurant. Staff were not pleasant or helpful, didn't get seated until 10.30pm even though the restaurant shut at 10pm and waited a long time between course. At 12.15am we were told tere was no dessert left. Staff looked like they had slept in their uniforms. All in all, a very disappointing visit to a 'Michaelin Star restaurant'.

one of the main reasons we went back to this hotel was to have a meal in the Nick Nairn restaurant but unfortunately didn't realise that we should have booked in advance.When we arrived we were told that the only time we could have a booking for the restaurant was 9.45.We went to the room and after discussing the time of the meal decided that we would just leave and ask for the stay to be cancelled.May I also say that we were not impressed with our room which was very small and tired looking.The staff on reception were very helpful and agreed that the restaurant time was very late.We have stayed at this hotel quite a few times already and have never had any problems.I should also say that the receptionist offered to try and get us a better room but the meal time was obviously the main problem

Trip ruined by the constant queuing due to lack of staff numbers in the restaurant, listening to other diners complaining about the food and lack of service was very off putting, which was a shame as it ruined a special event for us.

my very low score for the bedrooms is not a reflection on the general decor but due to the complaint I had to make to the management about a large quantity of both head and pubic hair in our bed and various stains on the mattress protecter. we were given a discount but this does not compensate for the fact that it ruined our anniversary.
