Hotel service on sunday night in the restaurant was very slow, we had booked a table for 7.45 and did not finish our meal until 10pm. The food was better in the restaurant on saturday night. The bedroom was small, very hot and we were not given best available room.

We were booked on a best available room basis but the first room given was far from the best. Although assured by reception it was a double room there was only one chair, no place to keep our luggage without tripping over it and no drawers. The mini bar fridge cabinet was placed beside the bed with only 8 inches of space between it and the bed. My wife had stayed in this hotel on a single basis and been given a bigger room. After a discussion with reception we were given a bigger room in the Stirling wing which was far better. However the housekeeping in the corridors and lift was poor and was never hoovered the whole weekend despite reception being told. On the plus side the food and restaurant service was superb despite coping with high numbers. The leisure facilities and the public areas in the Hotel were kept clean and up to this hotels usual high standard.

This was my first stay at the Dunblane Hydro and it was all pretty much as expected, excellent service and fantastic food. It was only a short stay and during my time at this hotel I don't really have any negatives to mention. I would certainly go back and would reccommend it to others.

The room was a very clostrophobic small double, no upgrade was available, we booked dbb and thie was not honoured in the restaurant so we had to eat from the ala carte menu and pay more for it, drinks are over priced in the restaurant However the waiting staff are young and friendly and service overall was good. Breakfast was the typical look warm buffet and not helped by a 15 minute wait for a coffee, overall the feeling of being ripped off for dinner spoiled the break for both my wife and myself , would not return to this hotel.

Only one complaint, both mornings that we were there the tea and coffee that was served was dreadful. We had to complain both mornings as both the tea and coffee were cold. We eventually had them replaced. We noticed that others in the restaurant had to complain as we'll.

This was booked as a birthday treat for my wife and as an opportunity to take our 3 month old son to the swimming pool for the first time. On our arrival we checked in as normal and went to our room to get ready to go to the pool. We asked for directions to the pool ast reception and only then were we told that the pool was infact closed. We were offered the lame and 'one size fits all' explanation of "'elf n safety" !?!? The simple fact is, had we been aware the pool was unavailable we would have gonbe elsewhere - it's that straight forward. This was not an unforseen closure of the pool, as was insinuated, unless Nostradamus works at the hotel and attached signs to the pool entrance. The food and service in the bar and restaurant areas was second to none and well worth the money. The corridor to the rooms was dirty and we noticed room service items left in the corridor for hours without being cleared. We got the the pool the following day and it was very nice. We had a lucky escape when leaving the hotel - a large sheet of glass within the canopy over the entrance shatttered, showering the area below with broken glass only seconds after we passed under it with our child in his pram. This could happen at any time, however, we would not have had to bump the pram down the stairs under the canopy had the lift been working. Maybe that was out of use due to "'elf n safety" too?

We booked to stay for two nights and paid extra for an upgraded room. There was nothing about our room to suggest we had been upgraded, we felt robbed. There were no robes or slippers, one very small double sized bed and what looked like very cheap furniture. When we enquired about the upgrade we were told that it did include robes etc and that they would be sent to the room. We had to ask for these again on the second day as they did not arrive. We were also told that all the beds in the hotel were of a standard double size. Most hotels for an upgrade include as a minimum a queen size if not king size bed. If this was a deluxe room for two why is there only one chair to sit on and only one face cloth in the bathroom? We were unable to use the mini bar as there were no glasses in the room. Why is this hotel still charging for WiFi, even in McDonald's you get free WiFi? At our evening meal on the first night we sent the chips back as they were very over cooked on the black side and tasted burnt. The next lot that arrived were not much better. For the second evening we had booked a table by the window, it was for our son's graduation and wanted the evening to be special but when we arrived at the restaurant the table had been given away. The head waiter had joked that he knew he had booked that table out for a reason but could not remember why!!! We ordered two glasses of wine but a bottle arrived. We indicated to the waitress that we ordered two glasses, she almost argued with us that we had ordered a bottle!!! We also had to wait for 3/4's of an hour for our main course to arrive. Breakfast, the orange juice on both mornings was warm. Why is there only two toaster's for a hotel that boasts that it has 200 rooms. I do not believe that 'we are very busy' is an excuse for all the event's that happened to us especially as we were paying approx

Our particular memories will be of the exceptional friendliness of the staff, who went out of their way to help us with our mobility problems and our dogs, despite having a Graduation Ball to contend with. Otherwise, lovely position, comfortable beds and room, and good breakfast. Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control we arrived too late for dinner, but we were provided with very good sandwiches by room service within a short time of asking. Our only problem was the distance from our room to the restaurant.

As always we enjoyed excellent service from the staff at Dunblane. We had asked for an upgrade but they were unable to give us so they left wine and chocolates in the room for us which was a lovely gesture and much appreciated.

Whilst our stay at Dunblane Hydro was mainly positive, the one criticism I would have is that on our first night the dinner service was extremely slow with long waits in between courses (i.e half an hour between starter and main and half an hour between main and dessert.) We were in the restaurant from 8pm until 10pm which in my opinion isn't really acceptable. The second nights dinner service was by far better with better service from the staff. Food quality and presentation was excellent.

Very enjoyable stay. Comfortable room for a one night stay. I would have preferred a separate shower, however this did not overly affect our stay. Meal at dinner was excellent.

I was expecting something special here and was disappointed. The room was clean but basic. The idea of having an allowance for dinner I felt short changed. When I booked for dinner I did not think I would be calculating up my allowance each night. The food was not worth the expensive price list. The staff were polite but not friendly. However I felt the price we paid for 2 nights was reasonable, I was just expecting because of the reputation of Dunblane Hydro that it would be something special and it was not.

Stayed at Dunblane Hydro on a DBB package recently and unfortunately had to speak to the duty manager regarding a few issues. That said, Claire has to be commended on her customer service skills as she dealt with everything in a very professional manner and went out of her way to ensure the rest of our stay was enjoyable. On a positive note, the standard of food and service in the restaurant was perfect.

Beautiful hotel, lovely food. Only fault was our double room Had two different height single beds pushed together instead of a Double bed. And the only other available room was unsuitable as it smelled damp.

Hotel is lovely and staff helpful. However the dining area was a bit chaotic as staff tried to deliver meals but had no idea who had ordered what.
