I would like to say our stay was brilliant, hotel dealt with COVID great, we got booked in fine and went to our room which I paid extra for a loch view wasn’t disappointed, except for the wether view was brilliant, we had dinner in the restaurant the first night, couldn’t fault the food or service, second night we sat in the bar and it was the same couldn’t fault a thing, breakfast because of COVID wasn’t a buffet but sill got to go up a choose what you wanted, where it went wrong was check out, we were given the bill, we were supposed to get £30 off our dinner which wasn’t taken off, but when I mentioned it the girl looked and took it off straight away, my partner looked at the bill in the car and and seen we had been charged twice for dinner on the first night, same price which none of what we had came to that, she went in and showed it to the girl. The girl checked it and asked her manager for help and one of them was given back to us, if we hadn’t checked the £30 I got of and the amount my partner got back we would have been £57 out of pocket. It wouldn’t stop us going back as the stay overall was brilliant, just check ur bill,

Fantastic stay again at this hotel but my only complaint was I wish they would have handles in the showers. No disability rooms make stepping over the bath a problem. Handles and bath boards would be good to have for those with limited mobility. All staff at this hotel are exceptional and we love to stay here when we can. Next time can we order the sunshine please ? ??

I have numerous complaints to make about the hotel-I was shocked when I realised that there was no mattress protector on my bed, also no protectors on the pillows. The bed base was VERY old and noisy when I moved whilst in bed. The duvet was old and grey. There were stains (they were small) in the toilet and stubbly beard hairs on the taps of the sink. The bath mat was old, stained, marked and actually had mould on the underside! There were no spoons to stir our tea/coffee. I know things have been very difficult during the pandemic but I don’t feel the situation excuses all these faults. I’m probably quite critical as I have travelled extensively and stayed in some fantastic hotels around the world (Dubai, Bahrain, Hong Kong, Singapore, Paris and more) but these comments I have made highlight some basic problems. You maybe asking yourself why I didn’t check out of the hotel, although I did consider doing so, I wanted to support the local community, my partner had insisted on paying me back for the two night stay, so I did not want to cause a fuss. I didn’t notice that there was no mattress protector until the second night, if I had noticed this when we first gained entry to the room I would have complained to a member of staff/management. The staff were very nice, food very good apart from my partner’s burger on our first night there, it was very hard, inedible in fact. I did complain but nothing was done regarding this complaint. However, our three course meal (which was included in the two night stay price) was really lovely, my baked Camembert was delicious, as was the roast turkey and my lemon drizzle cake was one of the lightest, most delicious sponges I have ever tasted, full marks to the chef! I feel if a few changes were made, new items (essential items) were purchased for the rooms for example the Arrochar Hotel would be a great place to stay. Thank you.

Lovely stay with our dog at Arrochar. Great location for views across Loch Long. Covid procedures in place and nearly everyone adhered to policy. Very dog friendly which was great for us. Bedroom had recently been painted and everything seemed clean and fresh for an older hotel. Menus were available to eat in the bar where dogs were allowed. Food was fresh and tasty on the two nights we stayed. Very reasonable price for b and b and additional costs of food and drinks. Nice walks close by. Would return Only room for improvement would be that there is a big sign saying table service, but you do need to order at the bar.

Just come back from a very pleasant 2 night stay. Hotel is right on the banks of Loch Long. We upgraded to a Loch view room which was worth the extra £10 each.Check in was quick small issue with an extra £20 weekend supplement which, after an e mail to my hotel break, was removed from our bill.We stayed in room 228 which had recently benefited from a refurbish. Hotel was very clean dinner was good with a £30 voucher for one of our nights meal drinks slightly more expensive than the 2 village pubs. Breakfast was adequate porridge juice and a choice of the usual fry up. Could have been warmer so a note to hotel a lot of reviews mention this so it is something to look at. We would stay again if we were in the area. Great staff a credit to the hotel and unlike other reviews there were plenty local staff who knew the area.

Fantastic stay for our first time. Ground floor rooms recently refurbished and very clean. Staff were all very nice and obliging showing nothing was too much of a bother to the guests. Head restaurant male ( forgot his name ) was a very pleasant helpful guy. We booked bed breakfast and evening meal and were not disappointed with the quality. We would definitely recommend this hotel for a break. Only downside for us was that there were no disabled friendly rooms as two would have been perfect. We tried to get the walk in showers on the upper floors ( as they have a lift ) but they could not change our request. We will definitely be back again.

The hotel was OK, definitely not luxurious. Served warm wine at dinner. Needs double glazing in the rooms near the road.

My husband and I spent last weekend at the Arrochar Hotel. It turned out to be a strange weekend with all that was going on in the world. Our room was nice with a lovely view of the loch , room 104, however our bed was really hard (which might suit some people.) The staff were really helpful and friendly and the food was ok. Dinner wasn’t bad and breakfast was good. Service was really good. All in all, we’d certainly go back

We stayed for three nights', bed and breakfast - the room was lovely, and the view from it over Loch Long and The Cobbler was amazing. The facilities were great, and it was very clean and quiet. The dining room overlooking the loch was lovely, and the breakfast was outstanding!

Amazing views. Reception girl very welcoming and helpfull. Room first class with terrific views. The double rooms were sold out and staff unasked had put the two singles together to make a double. Very proactive and on the ball. Saved my good lady from falling off edge ? . Bar prices were fair and entertainment was first class. James ran the team like clockwork. Friendly hotel and all in all we had a brilliant stay. Thanks to the team from both of us.

Warm welcome at check-in, assigned spacious comfortable room albeit the decor a little tired looking, but the stunning views of loch & mountains more than compensated, excellent table service with good wholesome food served piping hot, Staff warm & friendly who aim to please, highly recommended.

For what we paid it was ok. Hotel is a bit run down. Room was adequate but very dark. Had to put all lights on to get decent light. Curtains had seen better days and were quite faded in bits. View from room was amazing. Dining - again dining room very dark. Presentation of food not the best. Staff very pleasant and polite. Would I stay here again - probably not.
