First room we were given was disgusting. It had obviously been flooded and had never been dried out. It had an overwhelming damp and sour smell. The room hadn't been dusted or hoovered. I explained that I was asthmatic and asked to be moved to another room - staff managed to give me another room that was a bit better - but still was in need of a good clean. My friends arrived later and their room was no better - coffee had been splashed up the wall and hadn't even been wiped off. Their room was also very damp and toilet had a disgusting sewage smell coming from it. They also asked to be moved but there was no other rooms available. Very disappointing.

Staff were excellent attentive & friendly from reception to restaurant. The bedroom although a loch view was needing some tlc (& a lock on the toilet). Price was great but same 2 main courses from night out of 3.

Paid for upgrade to suite on arrival, but room was like being in a wind tunnel - impossible to heat, even with additional heater. Next day, moved to better cosy room, and were given refund of additional upgrade amount. Staff were helpful and polite.

Just back from a lovely, relaxing two night break. Would definately consider a return visit.

Room was terrible. Poor level of cleanliness, TV situated in an awkward position in relation the the bed. No power socket near the bed. Window looked directly into another window - the view couldn't have been worse. Toilet didn't flush and toilet door didn't lock. On a positive note, the food was fairly good and the staff were great.

been to the hotel a few times as its a wee gem of a hotel i love it,the staff are lovely,they go out their way to help.Just got back from another 2 day stay and noticed its been done up now and the menu has now changed for the best as food was lovely cant wait to go back

Had a fabulous break in this hotel. We were given a room with a view of the loch. Food was lovely and staff friendly. Excellent value for money.

We stayed here on a 2night DBB break in October, we cannot recommend this hotel highly enough, I do not know why it has a 2* rating as the food, accomodation, service and overall experience was first class. Stunning views of the loch which were breath taking. Looking forward to our next visit which can't come quick enough.

I was disappointed that despite requesting a loch view, our allocated room was at the other side of the Hotel with a stunning view of a dead tree! Receptionist on duty was very helpful in trying to find an alternative but was unsuccessful for our first night. This room was very small and not very appealing. However, all credit to the Hotel, we were moved into a beautiful suite for our second night. This was a very well appointed room with absolutely stunning views from each of the 3 windows and our second day was very memorable.
