My mother and I had a lovely relaxing 2 night stay at the Fairmount. Facilities were great, service excellent, staff most helpful and polite. Our room was very attractive although a little warm at night. We would return when there are special deals. Thanks

Had difficulty getting car space in car park. Fire alarm at 5am Sunday morning- no explanation, thought a voice message would have been approriate !! minor issues, really enjoyed our stay will be back again, Thank you

Staff most helpful, beautiful location.Disappointing that we were unable to get sandwiches in clubhouse after playing golf.This was just after 5pm.Told that only dinner menu was available.

extremely comfortable hotel with excellent staff who deliver a first class customer focused service. nothing was too much trouble for them. food excellent. views from the Clubhouse fantastic.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.One small quibble would be that a member of our party could not eat fish which comprised a large part of our dinner menu.

The hotel is stunning and the customer service is first class. I was a little bit disappointed with the sea view room as the photograph suggested that the window would be full length so that the view could be enjoyed from the seating area in the room but this was not the case as you had to stand at the window to enjoy the view. I was also disappointed that breakfast in bed was not included in the Dinner, Bed and Breafkfast package. All in all we had a great time and will definately return.

Room was not ready at check in time stated of 4.00 p.m. We checked in at 4.20 p.m. and room was not available until after 5.00 p.m. Also not happy that a 5 star hotel charges

My wife and I have just spent two lovely days at this hotel. The bedrooms, food, service, staff and facilities are all first class, there is also a pleasant atmosphere runs throught the whole hotel. We hope to stay again early next year. The only down side was, the shuttle bus timetable had changed and there was a lack of communication, which resulted on us not being picked up at one of the alotted times, however after a phone call to the hotel they sent someone within ten minutes.

We had a fantastic 2 night stay at the Fairmount, St Andrews. The room was spacious, clean and well equipped. Facilities were second to none and the staff were superb. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was the best I think I have had in a hotel. Would highly recommend this hotel. We will definately be back in the near future. This hotel definately deserves it's 5 star status.

The booking and checking in process at the hotel was very quick and efficient. The room was lovely, large and nicely decorated. Breakfasts were fantastic with excellent service. We chose to have dinner at The Squire for the two evenings. Food and service was good but if we chose this hotel again we would probably choose to have meals in other restaurants available at the hotel. Overall a great weekend in a 5 star hotel.

GREAT WEEKEND, SINCE OUR LAST VISIT WE NOTICED AN INCREASE IN CHILDREN AT THE HOTEL AND PETS, WAS NOT A PROBLEM THIS TIME, BUT WOULD BE WORRIED IN THE FUTURE AS I WOULD NOT LIKE TO HAVE A BEDROOM THAT PETS HAVE BEEN IN AND CHILDREN RUNNING AROUND

We were initially allocated a room directly opposite the lifts, which we decided was going to be a problem, but Reception were very good and changed the room within a matter of minutes. A great improvement.Our welcome was very hospitable and the staff were on the whole efficient polite and friendly without being overly invasive. The hotel was very comfortable,and well appointed.

Lovely hotel and staff. Smudge the dog was lovely too! Only problem was a couple of things with the evening meal.We did notie a difference between our first and second night. A different chef? On the second evening my daughter ordered the same as the evening before - pasta with seabass, salmon and mussels - as she had enjoyed it so much. On her recommendation my neice decided to order it too. However, my daughters pasta was cold and there was no seabass in my neices dish. This was rectified without any problem. Unfortunately I had opted for the beef and I have to say it was very disappointing - quite tasteless and certainly not worth the
