Relaxing 2 day break. Comfy room. Great breakfast and dinner in the club house with view out to sea. Used the pool. Staff very helpful and friendly. looking forward to going back in 2017.

Lovely hotel and surroundings.Staff very polite and professional always happy to assist.Meal at night in Clubhouse again very good.Breakfast following day had plenty choices.We were allocated an upgraded room on arrival which had a lovely view and comfy bed. Free Shuttle bus frm hotel to StAndrews every hour.Phil the driver was very nice and friendly and chatted about St Andrews and directed us best places to visit.Highly recommend venue and hope to return soon.

Our second stay at the fairmont after a previous excellant break. On a arrival at reception we were advised bedrooms were being upgraded and some noice from drilling could be heard. Returning to our room at 4.30pm the noise was unbearable from a concrete breaker being operated directly above our room , we complained at reception who said work would stop at 5.30pm and offered a bottle of prosecco with our dinner, ear defenders were required. On paying our bill the manager deducted 25% and said our booking agent should have informed us about the ongoing works.

Had a wonderful stay at Fairmont St Andrews......it ALWAYS delivers!! Loved the new look Atrium and Squires restaurant; beautiful decor, furniture and accessories - both very welcoming and comfortable. The staff were great....friendly, helpful, attentive and efficient......the right combination! I can't wait to go back!!!

From the moment we arrived to the moment we checked out all staff we encountered were very courteous and helpful especially Tam the doorman. It was a very enjoyable stay

The Fairmont was very nice. However the room we were on needed an update especially the tiles in the shower as they were very grubby. The staff were all very nice and helpful. We had a lovely meal in the Italian restaurant yhe meal was amazing. We went to one of the bars for a drink but there was no atmosphere, very quiet and the very dark. The bteakfast was buffet style but what people are paying it should be full service. We would definitely go back again.

This was the families 4th stay at this hotel. It was not as good as before. More restrictions placed on where we could take the dog not quite as clean. Have decided to not go this year.

Didn't think the hotel warranted the 5 stars. Over priced . Service poor , used wine glasses lying on table outside noted at lunch time stilly there at night .mirror in room dirty , pillows too soft and worn out . Paint work on doors and skirting boards chipped not what you expect from five stars . Would not recommend .

Enjoyed my stay at the Fairmont. It was very relaxing and the staff were very attentive and friendly. The food at la Cucina was very good and at the St Andrews bar and grill was excellent.

We had a fantastic 2 night stay at the weekend. Food was fantastic at both restaurants and the squire restaurant for breakfast. The staff were all lovely and pleasant. It was unfortunate we had to leave on Monday to travel home. We will return soon and enjoy the ambience of this wonderful 5* hotel

I would definitely go back to the Fairmount when another offer appears. Only disappointment was that we had booked dinner for both nights in the Italian restaurant and was not that impressed. Served the same soup on both nights and had run out of items on the menu by 8pm. Spa facilities are great though treatments are pricey even with discount. Surroundings are beautiful.

Stay was fine although trying to get a restaurant booking was impossible unless you wanted to eat after 9.00. Ate in the bar first night. Food was fine but service was woeful. Waited 1hr for a main course and 30 for dessert.
