An impromptu trip due to a fantastic offer which was really excellent value for money. The meal was tasty, breakfast good, nice bar area, very friendly staff. Only a couple of points - the walls in the bedrooms seem quite thin and non-sound proofed - you can hear the adjacent guests chatting away and walking around. Had to wait a while for some breakfast buffet dishes to be replenished but all good once available. Overall a lovely wee stay.

However we are disappointed to learn that you could hear guests in adjacent rooms. Hotel could do with a coat of paint Reception staff were extremely helpful Breakfast could have been improved by replenishing empty serving containers quicker

We are disappointed to see that you found that your bedroom not up to your standard. We have recently had 30 of our bedrooms refurbished and are continuing a decorating programme throughout the remaining bedrooms, this is on-going. We are disappointed that you did not enjoy your overall experience for breakfast in our restaurant. I will discuss this issue with the Food and Beverage Manager. Our break was to celebrate my husbands 65th birthday. We were lucky enough to receive a free upgrade to a lovely suite which made it even more special and was greatly appreciated. We found the hotel staff to be extremely friendly, helpful and efficient which really added to our stay. Gretna Hall Hotel is a great location to explore the Solway coastline and surrounding areas. We would definitely recommend this hotel and will certainly return! Many thanks.

Good location, friendly staff overworked at times with weddings. Hairdryers should be available in rooms. Overall a pleasant stay, good value for money.

A comfortable stay but quality of food was compromised due to large bus party dining. I would still recommend this hotel.

Disappointed with this hotel, room very shabby and uninviting, meal unappetising and very basic, didn't enjoy restaurant, however breakfast was actually very nice. Wouldn't hurry back. Staff were pleasant.

We have had a very pleasant stay at the Gretna Hall Hotel the staff warm and friendly, food was very good, rooms very comfortable and quiet, great views from the lounge of the lake district fells, we will definatly return next year .

The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The bedroom was spotless and beds very comfortable. The evening meal was delicious and breakfast very good and plentiful. A pleasant overnight stay at a very reasonable price. Would happily return.

Unfortunately it appears that you were allocated a bedroom which did not meet your expectations and for this I apologise. we enjoyed our stay at gretna hall the staff were very helpful and pleasent.reading some of the reviews we were a bit concerned but there was no need as great value for the price would stay again
