Reasonable hotel. Getting a little bit dated. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel in general was clean as were the rooms. The flow of water in the shower was poor but just about adequate. Spacious room. Some external noise from boiler house etc and seagulls. Not much the hotel can do about seagulls. Dinner was fine. Pub type menu but good quality. Breakfast was good also - buffet style for most items (eggs cooked to order). Coffee was very poor. Not sure why: just wasn't nice. Again, good quality ingredients for breakfast. No bottled water in the room - that's a bit poor these days. The rooms aren't serviced for stays under 5 days. So for towels, tea, coffee etc. you have to call reception before 10 am or all bets are off. A booking system for dinner is in place but also for breakfast, this is a bit odd. So get in quick with your prediction for when you might want breakfast across your stay - and don't be late as you have a 45 min slot. Good transport links for the local area and beyond and a big carpark with charging stations for electric car users. Would I stay again?... possibly. I would probably look elsewhere first though.

Enjoyed our 2-night stay at The Woodlands Hotel, Broughty Ferry. Room comfortable and clean and all staff very helpful and considerate. Was delighted to see that there were good Gluten Free options on the menus and the restaurant staff were very mindful of the restrictions that a GF diet can involve. Our first night’s meal was included in the deal but we also chose to use the restaurant again on our second night. Would recommend.

Our 2 night stay was very pleasant, dinner was excellent and breakfast more than adequate, nice choice. Nice quiet location and hotel was not noisy at all in any way. Mattress very hard and pillows not the best but this is just personal ?

We had a lovely stay at the hotel. The food was decent enough and the room was lovely and spacious, although it could be doing with an upgrade as very tired looking. The staff where all very friendly and nothing was a bother to them.

Yet again another fantastic wkend the woodlands hotel never fails to deliver. I was a bit disappointed that they have stopped serving omelettes at breakfast that was one thing I really enjoyed for my breakfast. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. The food was lovely at dinner and buffet breakfast was delish. I will be returning to this hotel again again and again

Had a great break here staff very helpful and food very enjoyable although menu could do with expanding a bit. Standard rooms are adequate but beds are in need of an upgrade as they are very low standard doubles. I am sure if they did some tribute night weekends in the ballroom area they would prove very popular with the guests and charge extra for the entertainment.

Great stay at this lovely hotel. Rooms are lovely and bigwith very comfy beds, bar area is so comfy to sit in, food is great with plenty of choice and breakfast is buffet style. Plenty car parking spaces with EV chargers as well. Staff are all really helpful and courteous. Will definitely return soon.

A very beautiful building tended well outside and very very clean throughout whole hotel. The lobby’s especially could tell how clean hotel was. Food was good , staff friendly Only Downside - family room was very warm ! Had to open windows through the day and have the fan provided in room on all night. Radiator was off

Absolutely love this hotel. Stayed here 3 times It was funny though with the kids meal offered as my son has adult portions at 13. Fantastic room upgrade Pool was amazing Would definitely return

We stayed here for 2 nights between Christmas and new year, relatively happy with our stay, grievances I would say was having to pay additional costs to use the very small and poorly kept pool, not only that but the price for the admission was steep for such. Restaurant staff and bar staff were polite, reception staff typical for the area, Rude

Brilliant hogmanay night! Everything was just perfect . The room, the meal the party atmosphere and the crazy dj not forgetting the breakfast the next day! Such a great night and terrific value for money. We will definitely be returning this year hopefully.
