Lovely hotel - lovely seaside town centre - very reasonable prices in accomodation and in restaurant - food was lovely & wine reasonable priced too. Will definately be recommending and revisiting

Had a nice one night stay at Woodlands.Nice room and nice public areas and bar/restaurant.Meals were fine as was breakfast.Staff fine although the Dundonian staff appear grumpy but aren't really!

Everything good. As my previous reviews take a copy of your booking confirmation as at checkout they like to try to over charge usually for included meals.

We booked as a party of 4, 2 couples and had a very enjoyable stay. The staff were friendly and wecoming, nothing was a problem. The rooms were spotless. We used the pool etc. Evening meal was good, plenty to choose from for everyone and the buffet breakfast was vast. We will definately be back.

We had a lovely stay in Woodlands hotel. Welcomed by a nice receptionist who tried to give us a better room. Room was very nice and spacious everything very clean and also pool area the same. We enjoyed the pool hot bath and sauna ..everything what you need. The hotel has a very nice atmosphere we felt very good there. Also the receptionist Aga was so nice and friendly she can help you with everything what you need. Don t forget about the breakfast which was so delicious, very good choices . Overall we were very happy and definitely will come back. Well done.

We had a lovely two night stay at this hotel.the staff from check in to checkout were first class thay are a credit to yourself and the hotel.we we're sorry that our break was so short. Maybe next we shall stay longer a big thank you

A good value break at the Woodlands. All staff were very pleasant and the room was a good size. Both the spa facil and food were of a good standard.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast set up was appalling, we waited 15 minutes to be seated, they knew at reception earlier that the rooms were busy that night, why were they not prepared for this ? The room was clean, but the mattress was ancient and rock hard with the springs digging into your back, the grounds are lovely and the staff were lovely but the room was no way an "executive"room. We were booked in for a 2 night stay in december but due to the room and the awful set up at breakfast we have decided to cancel.

On a sunday our breakfast runs from 8am to 10am and can occasionally be very busy if all the guests come for breakfast at the same time. As we only have a finite number of tables there is sometimes a wait, although 15 minutes is highly unusual. We have both standard doubles and executive doubles. Our standard doubles are smaller rooms in our original wing, some of which are on our top floor up three flights of stairs. Our executive doubles are in our Hamilton wing and near the Leisure Club. They are larger rooms and some are ground floor accessible. I am sorry that you were so disappointed you did not want to give us another chance. Kind Regards Sylvia Head Receptionist

My husband and I can't wait to go back and spend a good few days there. We could only manage an overnight recently. Staff are a credit to the hotel. Hotel is very clean and well maintained. Breakfast is excellent. I would like to see a few more beds at the pool area though. The surrounding area is lovely and the wee town of Brought Ferry is full of individual little shops offering something different. Had a great stay

The room we were given first was terrible, shabby, dirty marks on the wall, chipped paint on the skirting boards, dirty marks on a cover on the bed and the carpet was extremely worn and dirty. However after complaining at reception we were moved to a lovely room with a four poster bed although there were cracks on the ceiling. . Breakfast on both mornings was a bit hectic as it was very busy and there was sometimes a lack of communication between staff. The staff were helpful and friendly.

Got a really good deal through MHB.com. We paid extra for an executive room which was very nice ( although there's no lift to that upper floor so be prepared to lug your cases up the stairs, with no offer of assistance ). Dinner was lovely ( albeit a bit on the expensive side) and breakfast was great, although yet another Scottish hotel that doesn't do haggis, just black pudding !!? Nice hotel in a good area, pool gym etc.

All staff were very pleasant and helpful. Our room was fine but the mattress was very hard. The swimming pool was good. Breakfast was good and there was a good variety of food. The dinner was quite basic but cooked well.

Hotel is very comfortable in a lovely peaceful area rooms are very clean and a plus is they have electric fans which made the room more comfortable. Food at dinner was excellent although the staff could be more attentive it was hard to catch their attention to order, the waiting area to the dining room was a bit untidy with cleaning bottles and cloths lying around . Maybe a selection of real ales would be good. Would visit again

Upon arrival to this lovely hotel (first time to a best western) pretty entrance managed to get a disability parking space although not really sign posted very well. All the staff were exceptional and could not be more helpful. the room we had (104) was really very quiet and peaceful especially at night. The menu was okay but the meals were well cooked.. and yes I would like to come back again and look forward to seeing you all again (PS I was the one with the Blue crutches)l
