Our 2nd stay at this beautiful hotel, rooms are spotless, the setting lovely and quiet and the lovely staff cannot do enough for you, will definatly be returning.

Had a great 2 night stay.The hotel,staff and location were excellent.Straight off the motorway but still very quiet.A big bonus was the amount of good walks right outside the hotel.The staff were very polite and helpful,nothing was too much trouble.An excellent base for exploring Shropshire.Would certainly return to this hotel.

We were a little disappointed with our room, there were loads of rooms with decent views, but we were stuck in a corner with a view of a roof. I am sure there were other rooms available. l also felt that the waitress in the morning was a bit rude when she asked me if breakfast was already paid for. Think that staff dont like it if you are there on a deal.

Hotel and location very good. Room was adequate but lacked a view! Breakfast and evening meal lovely along with attentive and helpful staff. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel.

Staff pleasant and helpful. Room nicely decorated and bed very comfortable. Missing lights were replaced. One evening main meal had to be returned. However, this did not present a problem and was quickly replaced with an alternative.

Lovely overnight stay. Food excellent and good sized portions. Drinks prices reasonable. We had a room overlooking the lake which, had the weather been better would have been idyllic. Plenty available for breakfast so no reason to leave gry

Well,what can i say.Arrived it looked fine,got to the checking desk and they were full.Treated very courteously by the receptionist who arranged a room in a nearby hotel for the same price.In the cirstances full marks to the hotel,less so to the booking agent.

We have stopped here a few times under various ownerships, a tired hotel, but pleasant, food good, service and staff positive and professional. The only down-side was new potatoes on my plate where one turned out to be a small pebble! How the staff missed this is surprising as it rolled about noisily on the plate like a marble.

Excellent accommodation and good food. Staff are really pleasant and efficient. Hotel is spotlessly clean and very welcoming. Santa special Sunday lunch was great. The kids loved it. Our complicated menu choices were accepted without fuss and delivered exactly as requested. Well done everybody.

We were woken at around 4am each day with noise which didn't stop, not sure if it was the kitchen or laundry but it meant our relaxing break sent us home exhausted. Requested newspapers didn't turn up, room wasn't cleaned between first and second night and had to find my own cutlery and serviette for my meal. Otherwise the room was fine, nice balcony, the staff were friendly and what food we did have was okay. Wouldn't return, only went in the first place as we had a romantic break for two voucher.

Every thing good except they need to find better supplier for their Steak meat and then cook it properly. Rubber springs to mind for the meal supplied to me. We found all meals to highly priced,so ate elsewhere. Heating not on early evening.

Our 3 night stay was spoilt on the last day when returning back from a day out our friends found that the cleaning staff had basically packed up their room thinking they should have checked out - when they realised their mistake they bundled the clothes back where they thought they'd taken them from -leaving the clothes crumpled and untidy. When our friends told reception they wanted to complain the girl on reception showed very little interest. We decided to eat in - we had eaten in the bar previously and enjoyed the food and after the upset our friends had suffered we all had a couple of drinks so therefore had to stay in. We went to the bar at 7ish and found it quite busy - by the time we had decided what we were drinking the bar was "invaded" by people who were attending a Motown night - the bar was inaccessible due to the amount of people in the bar area. We decided to wait for the people to move on as we thought they must but it was more than 40 minutes before a member of staff came to tell people the room was "ready" for them - I spoke to him telling him of the problems we had getting to the bar and trying to order food - he was quite indifferent and said - well these people will be moving and you'll be able to order then - and then carried on. The staff leave a a lot to be desired - customer service is quite unheard of!!!! This spoiled what had been two brilliant days and then one unhappy day.

we were a party of 4 and received free superior rooms with a balcony and lake view. The food in the restaurant was of a high standard and beautifully presented. The manager kindly left flowers and a card for my mum's 80th. birthday. This is our second stay at this hotel and we all would recommend it.

Lovely hotel in beautiful area. Room was vey clean staff very pleasant. Can't comment on food as didn't eat there. Would return.
