Lovely hotel that was clean and had been recently renovated! Stayed two nights and excellent value for money! Dinner was plentiful and delicious as was the afternoon tea in the second day and we loved the availability of haggis at breakfast. Staff were attentive, very friendly and knowledgeable and gave us some great advice for local walks. Would definitely go back again.

The hotel was clean all the staff were excellent the girl on the reception was lovely and helpful. The food was of a high quality especially the breakfast we enjoyed using the leisure facilities all round a excellent stay planning a return trip in the near future.

Fab deal , hotel was lovely couldn’t find any faults , our first visit was cancelled due to COVID , so glad we were able to visit eventually , easy check in when we arrived , room was lovely , meals both nights were delicous , plenty of choice on the menu , which was included in our deal , staff were helpful and very cheery , spa facilities were brilliant , breakfast was buffet , again plenty of choice for everyone. Hope to return to the Angus next year again, will be looking out for this deal in the future

Had a lovely time in the Angus Hotel, was there with another 3 friends for a chill out time. Check-in went smoothly, rooms clean, beds comfortable, enjoyed the swimming pool even though it a small. Food was nice a good choice on the 2 course menu and buffet breakfast.

We enjoyed our stay here in Blairgowrie, lovely large room albeit at the front of the hotel so it was a bit noisy. Breakfast was buffet service personally I didn’t think the Bain Marie kept the food warm enough. The pool ….. was freezing and quite unpleasant. The evening service in the restaurant was ok seemed a bit slow and the food was good. The staff were outstanding and attentive.

Very good hotel with leisure facilities situated in the centre of Blairgowrie. As it is an old hotel we did experience a disturbed night as the heating system required attention. The food was acceptable but if you wanted steaks or a dessert you had to pay extra . Swimming pool, Sauna and steam room was good but you have to pre book due to COVID restrictions. I would recommend this hotel for a short break as the surrounding area has great walks and Blairgowrie is a lovely town .

Second visit to the Angus and it was excellent. Food was excellent. Fire alarm incident was well executed by the exceptional staff who were very attentive throughout visit.

Exceptionally rude receptionist was not helpful at all the breakfast uses the cheapest of ingredients they can find the afternoon tea was seriously not worth the money in short all there food would gag an aberdeen seagull it's that bad will never set foot in that hotel again would advise people to stay at perth or pitlochery far better hotels with better staff and better food it cost us £229 for two nights dinner and afternoon tea. Two nights was enough after this we went straight to perth and stayed at the mercure for 2 nights costing £125 pounds with dinner on the first night much better place with friendlier staff but more importantly better food,

Very pleased with our 3 night break at the Angus Hotel in Blairgowrie. Hotel staff very efficient, friendly and helpful. Room allocated more than adequate and bed extremely comfortable. Pool and Spa facilities excellent. Bar and Restaurant staff anxious to please. Food, though not exceptional, was satisfactory and the portions were good. Would recommend the Haddock, the Steak Pie and, certainly, the Curry. Breakfast was good with ample choice but the fried eggs, though obviously freshly cooked, were not always fresh at the point of choosing. The only minor irritation during our visit was a greatly overweight 'mouthy' resident who was more concerned with the the wearing of face masks at breakfast time rather than eating his own breakfast and minding his own business. I suppose such irrational behaviour should be expected from the lieges, given the edicts which have emanated from the Scottish Government over the past 18 months.

This break was for our 30th anniversary. The room we got was a bit tired but I had asked for square view. Great location and staff were excellent from front of house to waiting staff.

Helpful staff room148 not good for WiFi connection clean but some parts are in need of upgrading bar and restaurant very reasonably priced handy position for touring the area would stay again

The hotel was lovely and clean, staff were excellent and couldn’t be more helpful, the breakfast was first class, dinner at night was nothing special and some of the food had to be sent back to kitchen, all in all it was a very relaxing break

Lovely hotel in a nice small village. Hotel staf very friendly and helpful, they couldn’t do any more. Spa was amazing, very relaxing and great addition to our stay. Restaurant at night was very nice, food was good. Breakfast had everything you would expect from a buffet and was good, plenty of selection. Only thing letting this hotel down is the bedrooms, these are very dated and urgently in need of updating. Also our room was next to a door in the corridor which could be noisy. Would stay again, great value hotel.

Room had 2 air freshners to mask the en suite smell, it did not work. Check in was very impersonal, felt like airport self check in. Booking all meal times on line was a first.

My wife & I have visited this Hotel several times before & have never had any issues & have always found the staff very welcoming, efficient with excellent service with meals above average. However, on this occasion I was unimpressed & really quite upset that my simple advance requests were not met on initial booking for a basic ( walk-in-shower) due to mobility issues, the room allocated was over bath shower, which was a major issue for me & also situated at the front of hotel with traffic noise which I grossly dislike. The receptionist advised with a shrug of “Take it or Leave it” attitude, that they apparently had NO notification of my specific requests made through (My Hotel Break) & that they had no alternative room to suit my needs, when I had no choice but to reluctantly accept the situation, which greatly impacted on my stay, but if I ever return to this hotel in the future, which I very much doubt, I’ll phone prior to ensure basic requests are adhered.

Great setting for this hotel in the heart of Blairgowrie. Staff very friendly and helpful. Had booked dinner bed and breakfast and prebooked the spa which has been refurbished to beautiful standard. Food was delicious very varied menu my steak was cooked to perfection. Room was cosy double no view and was very warm.
