We loved the hotel, food was excellent, service was great with welcoming & friendly staff. The swimming pool area was great. The only thing that we were dissapointed in was when we booked we wern't told about the tribute weekend, this sounded great but was noisy from our room, I had booked the break as a convalesing weekend due to recovering from ill health but couldn't sleep due to the event.

Stayed here for 2 nights on a deal from myhotelbreak. Double room comfortable and clean. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Food was good, especially enjoyed the afternoon tea and the breakfast was great. Definitely recommend this hotel. We'll be back.

Good break.Only negative comments would be that room wasn't ready on arrival,plus sauna wasn't working on second day.Two course meal was outstanding and loved the Sri Lankan curry.Afternoon tea was good and breakfast was plentiful, buffet style.Swimming pool,sauna,steam room and jacuzzi were amazing and recently refurbished.Rooms were comfy,but stairs to ground floor were quite steep and wouldn't be suitable for people with mobility problems.Although there is a lift from third floor,there were still a few steps to go up to access the lift.Overall a lovely hotel, with good staff.

Had a good 2 night break at this hotel. A 2 course meal on the first night was good. On the 2nd day a Afternoon tea was delicious. The breakfast had a good assortment of cereal to hot food. The staff were all nice and helpful. Would return to this hotel again.

We stayed in bunk bed family room with 2 adults and 2 children. The hotel was clean and the staff were lovely. Amazing value for money on DBB on the first night and breakfast both mornings and afternoon tea on the second day. Hotel is right in the centre of town car park is quite small so we had to find another car park to use. Due to tribute night on the Saturday there was quite a lot of noise, our room was above the area but we were aware this would be the case, may disturb light sleepers or babies. There was no noise the next night. The spa area was amazing best we have been to the pool area was the reason we booked this hotel. Hotel was great value for money food was good, pool area amazing we will return and recommend.

Great value break. Hotel was clean and covid protocols followed. Barxand restaurant staff friendly and helpful. Good breakfast and dinner had reasonable choice and generoys portions. Enjoyes a swim in the pool too.

Fantastic break hotel was clean comfortable and stylish the spa was wonderful beautiful surroundings and so relaxing, I have to compliment the restaurant choice of food was excellent and the presentation good, the taste was delicious and portion sizes plentiful. I will certainly be returning very relaxing and friendly pleasant staff would definitely recommend .

Hotel was lovely spa and leisure facilities wonderful only thing was getting woken up a lot with the noise from the pipes really loud if someone flush the toilet or was washing there hands room was ok bathroom dated bar lovely and so was staff really nice staff food was lovely xxx I would go back ask for different room

We were a group of 7, and we weren't allowed to sit together at dinner but we could at breakfast, which was a mixed message and when we asked why we were told it was from the manager but the manager never seemed to be available as there was also a mix up with paying for part of our food bill but again the manager wasn't available

Fantastic weekend break would defo recommend. Staff can't do enough for you especially the young girl manager and the assistant manager . Food fantastic ,spa great definitely be back . Booked my sister and her husband for Sinatra weekend hope they enjoy it as much as us x

Had a really nice weekend at the Angus Hotel, food was lovely, staff really friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the spa and massage felt relaxed after them both. Room was nice, big comfy bed only thing I could say is that there is no socket beside the mirror so was a bit of a hassle drying my hair but apart from that nothing else. We will definitely return

We had a lovely stay. The breakfast was great, with plenty of choice. The room was cosy and the bed was comfortable. The staff were very pleasant. We walked a couple of sections of the cateran trail and found the use of the sauna, steam room and swimming pool absolutely wonderful. Already booked to come back in June after we complete our charity cateran yomp, 54 miles in 24 hours! We will definitely be in need of the spa facilities. Xx

Check in brilliant and room was ok. The shower caused an issue but staff dealt with this efficiently. Loved the dining room at the front of the hotel but unfortunately we only ate there on the first night. Staff said it was because of building renovations taking place but this was not the case on our third night. The large bar area was ok but not as intimate as the small warmer dining area. Pool facilities first class.

Angus hotel Blairgowrie (DBB with afternoon tea) This place is a wee gem, best pool/sauna/steam room and jacuzzi I’ve been to (my husband and I stay away about once or twice a month normally 4 star hotels (recently we’ve stayed at Dalmahoy & gleddoch) but the leisure facilities here 100% score a 10/10 and are better than most 4 stars we’ve stayed at - fully refurbished pool, brand new state of the art jacuzzi & brand new sauna and aromatherapy steam room. It’s a little haven so relaxing. The rooms are basic but clean & modern/refurbished I would rate these 9/10 just because the fan heater on the wall rattled so loudly when in use and didn’t seem to heat up much (it was snowing outside) the rooms are better than the photos they have brand new carpets, lamps, kettles, phones & include some lovely toiletries. the food is decent pub food (I had steak pie which was great my husband had beer battered cod & chips but they do lamb and pastas, steaks etc too) We had a wee afternoon tea included in the deal through MyHotelBreak and breakfast was a decent cooked buffet everything you could want We stayed in a square view room. Staf very friendly great customer service throughout Will definitely return

We’ve been here a few times now and there was only once all of the pool facilities were available. We pick hotels with this facility if it’s available over one’s without pools. Afternoon tea deal was nice enough but our last time was far better. There was no sausage rolls, cakes tiny and squishy cream instead of clotted cream not nice! Room was clean and we got the more modern room. Bar and reception staff were nice and helpful. Breakfast was a good variety and standard, however all the food was freezing except for the scrambled egg. No microwave to heat it up. Will we go back? We’re unsure.
