Lovely hotel, stayed for 1 night in a spacious family room, used the spa facilities very nice and clean. Had breakfast and dinner in the hotel and couldn’t fault the food or service.

Totally had a great time festive meal brilliant, restaurants meal was above brilliant staff very friendly, swimming pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi very good, left hotel very refreshed staff were very friendly and helpful. We will be back.

Lovely hotel room looking out onto the square and Christmas tree.Comfortable bed everything you would need. Staff very attentive and food was very good. This was a fabulous deal would definitely recommend.

Had a fantastic 2 nights at the Angus Hotel. Food was amazing. There was a singer on Friday night which was a bonus. The party night was fab and again the food was amazing. Gareth and his staff could not have done more for us and made our stay even more enjoyable. Will definitely return soon.

Second time staying at the Angus Hotel and again had a fabulous time. Hotel was beautifully decorated for Xmas. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room was immaculate and very comfortable. Hubby enjoyed use of the swimming pool and steam room. The food in the restaurant was first class and l highly recommended the rump steak and amazing onion rings. If your looking for a Hotel in a stunning location then l recommend the Angus. Will definitely be back again.

First time back since the hotel make over Firstly staff were all very pleasant and helpful Had breakfast lunch and dinner over 2 days everything was lovely fresh and warm Pool area huge improvement only thing I didn't like was how high up hot tub was didn't feel safe going in and out Overall a great stay Can't wait until we go again

A great, friendly atmosphere at this hotel. A huge shout out to Gareth. We have never met a more welcoming manager. This man never stopped smiling and looking out for everyone and checking we were happy.Nothing was a problem. All of the staff were excellent but he is outstanding. Friday night was so enjoyable, food was good and the 2 guy band was an unexpected plus, they got the crowd up and dancing. The food at the 80s tribute night was not quite so tasty and a bit disappointing. The DJ got the crowd excited & there was a lively buzz in the hall however the girl group were a bit off key and the party atmosphere went down hill quickly which was a shame because the crowd were up to enjoy themselves. The hotel is bit of a maze and we were a bit unlucky to get one of the older rooms which had a horrible, musty smell however it was clean and nice and cozy. We saw some other rooms which looked lovely! The pool spa looked lovely but was busy and too hard to book.

Well what can I say. We booked a 2 night deal with dinner on the first night nd afternoon tea. Room was cosy and clean, very comfortable. The swimming pool was lovely, sauna and jacuzzi a wee bonus. The food was outstanding on the Friday night folled by live music im the bar. Excellent service a special shout out to Gareth, who just has it, perfect host and so good with all the customers, he made everyone feel welcome and special including us. The area was beautiful and we enjoyed some lovely walks. We weren't part of the weekends music night deal and it was very busy but Gareth remembered our names and squeezed us in, he was so accommodating to everyone's needs and inclusive. That extra mile was never to much for Gareth. All the staff were lovely and helpful.

Relaxing break at this wonderful hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful and always willing to make your stay special. Food in the restaurant and bar area is great with plenty of choices. Rooms are bright with comfy beds. We will definitely be back.

Generally really enjoyed our stay here-a gift for our silver wedding anniversary. Room was comfortable and spa was great. Staff were for the most part very friendly and helpful. First nights dinner was lovely and service very good. Overall experience marred somewhat by dinner on the second night which ended up like something from Fawlty Towers. 40 mins after ordering we had to ask if our starters were on the way.... They then appeared 10 mins later. Apparently a fault in the system sending orders to the kitchen. Main course wasn't too long in coming but was cold. When I asked if it could be heated the man... Whom I took to be a supervisor or manager... Put his fingers round the side of my plate as if to check. He did take it away and brought it back in double quick time. Other guests also noted and commented to me. It still wasn't hot but he didn't stick around to find out and vanished soon after leaving the young waiting staff to cope with other issues in the dining room. Steaks overcooked... People waiting too long for food. The table beside us were offered free bottle of wine... Free dessert... We were offered nothing. The restaurant was much quieter than the previous night and difficult to understand why they weren't coping. We would stay here again. Handy location and overall very good but they could benefit from tightening up supervision and management of the dining room. Hopefully something which can be resolved.

Room was clean and tidy, view not great. Afternoon tea was nice and well presented. Our evening meal was served quickly and efficiently. Unfortunately we seemed to be in the minority, others waited almost 1 hr for starters, then main served cold. Dining room staff showed no interest, great shame. Breakfast, all hot and good choice.

This 3day break at angus hotel was really good! I can't find fault with anything Rooms were great and clean Food was fantastic Spa facilities were great and relaxing Bar area was good and all staff very helpful and friendly Great walks in area and parking was no problem at hotel

Stayed on a 3-night break DBB for first 2 days and B&B 3rd night, hotel good (stayed quite a few times on business, so knew what to expect ? Myhotelbreak.com states the dinner as 2x course which is correct but it's a £22.50 per person and it limits the courses somewhat, but food is good. Bathroom in need of refurbishment..although adequate for a few nights, staff friendly and accommodating. Car parking limited at front of hotel but there is a bigger car park at rear so no real issues there..remember to register your car at reception or risk a ticket.
