Lovely hotel and staff. Rooms a bit tired. Food was great! Spa could be better, and I would call ahead and find out when the pool is shut for 'training days' and private swimming lessons. It ment we could only use the pool two days out of the four we were there.

Enjoyed stay booked day before as I had booked with you previously. Hotel staff were very helpful and pleasant. My only slight issue was that I was on DBB deal for 2 nights and was surprised that the set table d'hote menu was the same both nights although we could also choose from the a la cartel menu & pay extra if over the

As per normal we enjoyed the stay.My only complaints were at breakfast staff We're run of there feet & were unable to keep up with service.Maybe employing additional staff during these periods would help. This is not the first time we or others have raised this issue along with others. The change to Internet login was also an issue,we never had problem in past. Updated system is not as easy or adequate!

The food was lovely, room comfortable but the floorboards creaked and you could hear the same from the room above. Also could hear someone snoring in adjoining room.

Reception staff a bit vague of the booking system, delay with our evening meal, otherwise an enjoyable stay.

When booking, I was very clear I required a room near facilities (i.e. reception) as I have limited mobility, so I was most surprised to be booked in to room 305, which is on the 3rd floor, along an extremely dull and dismal corridor. If there had been any problem with the lift, or the fire alarm had sounded, I would have been in dire straits, trying to descend 3 flights of stairs. Once we entered the room, we were really disappointed by the surroundings. We had paid extra for a 'privilege' room, but it was very small, the carpet was stained, the ceiling had evidence of water leaks and peeling, flaking paint, the roller blind was broken (my husband managed to fix this) and due to the single, small, dirty window, the room was horribly dull (even with all lights and lamps on). We returned to reception and asked if there was an alternative room available, as 305 was just too small and dark. The receptionist (Jennifer) was very helpful - she explained there was another room available (the Darnhall on the first floor), but there was a problem with the radiator, and you could only have the room at a very high temperature, or no heating at all, so we may not want to move to it. We decided to have a look, and when we did, we were happier with this room, as it was much bigger, much lighter, and first impressions were this room was decorated and maintained to a higher standard, plus it had the added bonus of allowing me to walk down one flight of stairs. My husband is a plumber, so took the liberty of repairing the faulty radiator, so this was no longer an issue. There was no mirror at the dressing table. and the shower didn't work properly. The staff were nice and the food was good.

We had a brilliant stay at Barony Castle, the staff were very attentive could not do enough for you, the food was 1st Class , the grounds were beautiful. We will definately be back. The only comment would be our bedroom had no real outlook but I am sure if we had asked we would have been moved it was no big deal. So glad we found this hotel. Thanks

Lovely location. Rooms a bit dated but very comfortable. Food was first vlass but service for evening meal was slow but didn't spoil our nigjt. Unfortunately ladies changing room for spa was closed and alternative meant climbing up to first floor in cossie so not ideal.

Hotel was nice but needing a little updating in rooms , enjoyed our overnight in the family room but a little disappointed about size of room and no view but comfortable ! My daughter had an accident in swimming pool due to a sharp piece of tile causing an injury to her foot so the maintainence team will need to check out ! Staff were lovely , hotel nice ,surroundings lovely ! Great deal from Classic Britain for what we got for our money ! Thank you ! !
